Muris carried Stormy bundled up in a blanket. It wasn't that the badger was severely injured, or even cold. It was more that she still wasn't sure just how patient he was going to be with her. She'd rather have the blanket's small protection from his claws in case he decided he'd had enough of her.
The mouse knocked gently on Ursa's door with the hand not carrying the rather sizeable badger, trying not to upset him while she did so. He made a few unhappy noises in the back of his throat, but seemed inclined not to do anything else. She breathed a sigh of relief.

Ursa glanced up at the knock, then went over to the door to open it, careful not to spill the 'tea' she was drinking (which, in reality, did not contain any true tea leaves) Her eyes were bleary and just a little bloodshot, and she had to glare at her hand for a moment to steady it before opening the door. She gave a faint smile upon seeing that it was Muris at a door, but she wondered what she was doing with a badger in a blanket. In any case, a visitor was certainly welcome: she was losing her ability to focus at this point anyway.
"Come in, come in. How are you, Muris?" Even her voice sounded tired and weak, an alarming little fact considering how tough she was.

Muris' eyes widened a bit at the sight of her friend so disheveled, but she didn't remark on it. It wasn't really her place to ask, she supposed. If the bear wanted to let her know what was going on, she was certain she would tell her.
"I have a friend," she said, motioning to the badger, "Who could use a bit of help. He was stuck in a bear trap, and I freed him...I bandaged him up as best as I could, but I'm afraid I've done something wrong."
Not that she could be certain she had--- everything seemed fine to her, but she wanted a more professional opinion lest her ignorance kill the poor creature.

Ursa's eyes flashed with anger for a moment at the mention of the bear trap. "I'd be happy to help, as always." Ursa moved several books off of her desk to make the room to set down the badger. "What I'd really like to do is get my hands on whoever set that trap, though."
Gently moving the blanket aside, Ursa glanced over the badger briefly. It looked to be healing nicely, or as nicely as possible with somthing as nasty as a bear trap. "Does he have a name yet?"

Muris blushed slightly, grinning, "I've named him Stormy...Ursa, I think this one's going to stay. He would have already gone, if he's healing nicely enough..."
She didn't want to get her hopes up, of course. None of the other critters she had taken in for healing had stayed before...but this guy was different. He emerged grouchily from his blanket, peering at Ursa as though daring her to..well, who knew what. He just wasn't a happy critter, that was for sure.

"I see. Fits his temperment perfectly." Ursa grinned back at her. "I'll just give his healing a little magical boost, just to make sure it goes just right..." Ursa frowned for a moment, glancing down at the slightly bad-tempered little badger. "Of course, to do that, I need to touch him...no biting my fingers off, Stormy." Ursa murmered the spell under her breath and reached out gingerly to touch the badger, who tried to get her hand as she moved it back.
Ursa looked up at Muris, and then staggered slightly before sitting down heavily in her chair. "Whoa...sorry about that. He should be fine now. Wonder if it will improve his temper." Ursa gestured to the other chair in the room. "Please, sit down and talk for a while. I don't get to see you as often as I would like."

Muris smiled. She wasn't particularly good with making up things like names...she had had Sissy's help naming Alucina, for instance. But the name did seem to suit the grouchy creature.
Muris tsked at the badger when he tried to get Ursa, shaking her head. He really wasn't a pleasant fellow at all. She would have to see if she could get him to change his mind about that if he was going to be sticking around.
"Are you all right?" she asked, unable to contain herself any longer as she plopped down into the chair next to Ursa, "You really do not seem well at all yourself. Perhaps you're catching what Ardea had."

Ursa grimaced and shook her head, "No, fortunatly that's not it. I'm just exausted...I don't think I've gotten much more than four hours of sleep since what happened to Equus and Pappila." Ursa took another sip of the tea she was drinking. "Even what sleep I did have was...troubled. That spell was terrifyingly powerful, and if the Moon Court can still harness that kind of power, even now..." Ursa gave Muris an almost hopless look. "Well, I don't think we will last very long if they want to get rid of us. Imagine if that spell had affected Cervus instead..."

The journey back had seemed so much longer than his first, though Alces knew it was because of his injuries. Not long after he'd left the ruins, the pain in his arm had started to ebb away. This had comforted him, until he realized the rest of the arm was starting to go numb as well. A loss of blood and strength slowed his walk, so that when he finally entered the area he knew to house the Sun Court's healer, he rested his head against the door and closed his eyes, giving silent but urgent thanks for his safe return. The moments rest threatened to pull him down into the pits of unconscious, but he shook off the sleepy blanket that fell over him and knocked on the door with his good arm.
"Lady Ursa? If you are home, I'd like a word."
Or a bandage. Or both, he thought with faint amusement.

Muris..squeaked. And then was silent. She couldn't move, or breathe, or anything. All she could think of was that the voice behind that door was incredibly familiar...and that she had worried, somewhere deep inside, that she'd never hear it again.
Stormy was less than pleased with the fact that Muris was no longer breathing. He made this known with a few unhappy noises and a kick at her kneecaps, but the woman didn't even seem to notice.

Valar Morghulis rolled 3 8-sided dice:
5, 5, 1
Total: 11 (3-24)

Ursa grinned despite her fatigue at hearing Alces voice, although the fact that the first person he had come to see was HER was not a comforting thought. She moved over to Muris and bent over to whisper in her ear "Breathe girl. How would it look if he came in and the first thing he saw was you, passed out." She then walked carefully over to the door and opened it just wide enough that she could step outside.
"Where have you be..." Ursa started before she noticed his arm, and then she rushed over to grab him before he fell. "Oh my...." She looked up into his face and then started chanting the spell right then, letting the healing magic flow out through her hands into the gaping wound in his arm.
((Roll for the spell...Cure Serious Wounds...Add 6 to the total...Edit: He's at full for now...can't do anything about the Con loss at the moment, however.))

((The Con thing was temporary. A good night's sleep should set him right there. ^_^))
Muris took in a sharp breath at Ursa's words. She was right, of course. It was just..she couldn't think clearly. Absently, the woman rubbed her knee where the badger had kicked her, quivering like a mouse who knew that an owl was nearby.
She saw his face as he all but fell into the room..and knowing Ursa's sad state, she rushed forward to help catch him. Holding tightly onto his other arm, she struggled to find herself. Any words would do, really. Or even tears. Something. She still felt like this was all very surreal.
