The 60 tons of metal collided with the ground, shaking it violently enough to produce a gentle layer of dust on the inside of the outpost. The I.B.D. rose from his throne, rage splayed across his face. "More fighters, move out," his bellows echoed across the empty halls. "Reinforce the base!" A gentle stirring rose from the halls, followed by an evil groan.

Two figures appeared, one on the inside of the base, and one on the outside.
The one on the inside of the base, the crystalline woman, had reconstructed already the majority of the damaged base, and was standing on a platform of pink crystal. She crossed her arms and waited, expecting news from the fire juggler.
The one on the outside, waiting in the cool nighttime air of the desert, seemed to have a constant storm brewing around her. Dust welled up whenever she moved, and she was constantly bombarded by a dusty blizzard. The particles settled quickly, however, as she calmed down and waited for the enemy.

Yuki-onna formed a hand sign and dust rose in to the air. It swirled for a moment on the breeze before floating over to the entrance of the base. Once there, it formed a translucent barrier of dust that would repel physical attempts to penetrate it.

Howaido arrived at least 200 feet off with both teams in toe as they hid out behind a few sand dunes. This was as close as they could get until they struck, and luckily for them it was way far enough away to keep from being spotted by anybody outside the base as long as nobody made stupid moves. Howaido counted his inventory and drank his last bottle of water as he waited for San to finish with his traps and seals,"Are we almost ready?"

San was already halfway in the ground when he spoke to Howaido. His earth military movement technique would be in quite handy here. A nice, stealthy insergency would be most effective.
"Ill let you know when to begin the attack. ill keep you updated through the bonds golem. Remember, these are beings we have yet to understand. Expect the unexpected."
San then made his way to the door, under the cover of the earth hidden from anyone outside the fortress.

Each of Ash's kunai were tied up with wire and each held a flash paperbomb on it. He tapped lightly on the katana's hilt that was sheathed on his back. Ouka made no such movement, but could easily arm herself if need be. Ash's goggles were already over his eyes. "It's... awesome..." If they could feel what he felt, what he smelt, what he heard, anyone would be awestruck. It was enough to make the hair on your arm stand and your neck tingle, but this wasn't with fear. This was even more excitement than before, with the God-mode woman.

As San approached the hole-in-the-ground entrance, the dust barrier rose up and stopped him. From below, a fountain of crystal rose up and covered the entrance, freeing the Yuki-Onna to fight. Everything, even the Shinobi, smelled so strongly like flowers that the Genin boy's keen sense of smell would only serve as a hindrance if he were to approach.
The Yuki-Onna, the woman on the outside, turned around and held her hand out toward San. In an instant, the barrier of dust morphed in to a spear that lunged for the boy's heart, threatening to aerate his innards if he neglected to dodge. In the meantime, more dust was welling up from the ground.

Howaido frowned as San was caught off guard,"Ikuzo, Ash, but stay back a few meters in case, shes using Dust!" He was perturbed by this equally as before, no not quite, he knew of this bloodline or it seemed as such. The crystal was impossible to him to have anything to do with the current opponent, but that dust jutsu, there was a clan like that. If he was correct they were called Jinto... Jinton... something like that, but they used dust as an attack power. He wished he had spent time learning all the details rather than skimming it in the library, it was considered a dead clan though so how could she. He mentally disciplined himself, one could not ask questions with all that had happened recently, he knew one thing though: after the battle before he couldnt afford to let any techniques touch him. He drew his katana as he came down the hill moving at a fast pace knowing she was watching for them, the dust behind him kicked up as he moved and with his katana he activated shearing to prepare for anything. He had one trick up his sleeve, well a few smoke bombs hidden from sight he had taken up for the earlier battle, a failure though it was.

The dust in the area had been kicked up, it seemed, and Yuki-Onna knew immediately. She felt a nearby presence charge across the ground and moved the dust accordingly: the ground suddenly seemed as if it were moving backward, despite Howaido's speed. The dust was forming spikes underfoot as well, creating a troubling situation for the boy, and the dust kicked up by his movements earlier had become Senbon aimed for his back.

As the attacks happened it was all a blur to the others, but to him it was slow, easy, his training in Shunkan no Hagane was the finest and any type of projectile was of easy detection and deflection. Combining it with his training in Juurai Toorima and he had way too much extra sensory abilities for any ninja to make use of. He leaped as soon as the spikes arose and with ever careful movement rebounded off of the spikes as they reached their peak to launch him at the enemy. His assumptions had been correct she could manipulate all kinds of dust, this no doubt uncovered one element easy, Wind Chakra. This meant he had to be careful though, so he used two of his aces now detonating two pellets to form a giant cloud of black thick smoke in front of him where he was about to land. In less than a second he was in the cloud and another he was out invisible to the naked eye, of course if she attacked the cloud or shifted it all she would see was the early image of six Howaidos preparing to take her on.

As Howaido leaped from the conveyor belt, he seemed to focus only on moving forward. His movements were slower than he anticipated due to the dust's swift backward movement under his feet, and during this delay of time, Yuki-Onna erected a barrier in front of the Jounin. When he swung to release the smoke bombs, his arm hit a translucent wall. The smoke bombs went off in his hand, unable to be launched; meanwhile, a large cloud was forming overhead.

While inside the smoke cloud Howaido was given a small time to think and while invisible he knew that cloud was dangerous. Luckily even a barrier couldnt stop his illusions, the six would make it appear as if her barrier was too late. As they charged forwards a thin wire only visible to someone with a dojutsu keen on sensory would detect it in with the images. Meanwhile Howaido could escape easily, with shearing active he sliced through the barrier with ease disrupting the chakra that held the dust together and slipping down below. He had plans for her, this woman and her dust jutsu, she was just there to watch the main act of his show.

[Not sure how that worked considering the spikes wouldve lifted me off the ground but, oh well good thing this tech has its advantages.]

He could do this... Ash could do this.... At the very least he could lend support to make Howaido's job easier. The cloud over head would be a problem, most likely it would either drop and flatten them or send something down. In either case, the Ouka/Ash combo should be able to cut through it. "I swear, if I get sand in the wrong places in my pants...."
Right now the main focus was to take down the blade woman. Both Ouka and Ash hopped, then flickered, reappearing behind the woman, one to the left of her back, the other to the right., then another of each appeared. The first two? After images. Both were already using Iaidō, a technique in quick the blurred motion of unsheathing and attacking happened instantly.

Yuki-Onna did not bother to sense the incoming wire, as she knew that she had caught Howaido briefly in her barrier. She did, however, put up a dust barrier all around herself when Ash approached, blocking out his and Ouka's attacks. She did not attack, though. Instead, she activated Chikyuu no Myakuhaku; she sent strange Chakra signals through the earth, and everyone that was touching the ground suddenly and without any warning found himself unable to mold Chakra for a short while ((two posts)).

With the circumstances set he would have to make use of what he had, luckily most of his tactics relied on no chakra and could be focused on using his own strength and speed alone. Still cloaked in his technique his illusions passed through the barrier unharmed as they met with the woman face to face prepared for anything. As they entered though Howaido again deconstructed the barrier with a slice of his sword, being invisible it was at the perfect time to make it seem as if the images were able to attack and had separated her barrier instead. With that the trap was set, he released the wire to detonate a purple miasma throughout the vicinity of the woman. The thick purple smoke would be effective immediately causing her eyes to tear up and itch uncontrollably being irritated by the purple smoke. What came next would be worse for her and she had encased herself in a barrier no less making escape even more difficult for the woman being she had increased the concentration of exposure by creating a smaller area of spread and a thicker cloud.
