Hooray! Chuppi had stopped crying! Gargantuan beamed a little as her tiny little hands made to touch his. That was fine with him, especially if it made her less sad! A constant, soothing sort of thrum had built up in his chest, its low-pitch almost indiscernible enough that it could blend into the background.
"G likes." He assured her proudly, swelling up a little as though to show he was being honest. He was! "Makes Chuppi special, with screechy sounds." And it did!
His earfins waggled thoughtfully for a moment, and the swamp beast was thinking quite hard. "Can just screechy at anyone who's mean to you!" The beast grinned at that, pleased for being so temporarily smart. At least, he thought it was a good idea!

"I don't think I should use my screech on people because mi madre - my mama says that's a bad thing to do. It...hasn't stopped me before though, I won't lie. I used it on my brothers a lot in order to get away from them. They are bigger than me and stronger, and with sharp teeth! Mira!"
At the mention of teeth Chuppi pulled her shirt up, totally forgetting that as a human-form know she had a more defined gender and therefore shouldn't do such things. Of course even if she was aware it wouldn't matter as she was showing off her cuts and bruises and scars like battle trophies. Across her stomach were small little pinpricks that looked like the remains of jaws, and little rake lines of three or more that were probably claws on her stomach. The scars were very faint from age and time, but still clear enough to matter.
"I perfected my screech on them! Chupacabras don't make one another sick though, but we can stun each other. I was good at stunning and running. . . . is G good at popping out of the water? Can you really make a deep roar? G should try to screech like I did!"
The chupacabra lowered her shirt down and placed her hands on her thermos once more, the object having been set down on the ground when she showed off her torso.

Brothers? The swamp beast looked puzzled at the word. He understood what siblings were, but he didn't even know if he had any let alone what it must be like!
All the scars earned a soft little noise from Gargantuan; he didn't really understand the purpose of clothes as it was, so he thought it was completely normal for a girl to be pulling up her shirt. Clothes were strange! "Hurt?" The beast asked quietly, reaching out with a finger to lightly touche one of the strange, ragged looking lines. He didn't have any scars to boast of, or at least none that he could remember being inflicted. Bumps and bruises were normal for G, after all.
"G likes to pop out of water." He concluded with a dopey sort of grin, though it faltered at the mention of roaring. Roar? A big, deep roar?
It took him a moment and several false starts; the swamp beast would take a few, deep breaths that made his sides expand before he'd let it go with a sigh, clearly not used to such a thing. And then, finally and perhaps without warning, instead of just sighing, G roared. It was a deep, trembling sort of sound, and his jaws gaped fully to prevent Chuppi a rather horrible view of the inside of his mouth. Even his top jaw had split in half to better do so.
"Ow." G said when he was finished, coughing slightly. "Hurt throat."

Chuppi had to put her hands over her ears at the sound of the roar and, to her surprise, actually found herself with her quills standing on end and the hairs along the back of her neck raised as well. She was trembling slightly from how the sound echoed about the area and she watched with wide eyes as whatever birds she hadn't stunned with her screech took off into the sky as though they really, really had a place they needed to be.
"G...that was amazing! Tu es increíbles!"
There was no trace of a lie in the little monster's words and she almost clapped her hands in joy over seeing that when someone like G put his mind to it, even he could do something. Of course she was still shaking, he'd actually scared her somewhat, but knowing that G was gentle made the effects not that bad.
"Lo siento that your throat hurts. Maybe we should get you something to drink, si?"
