Deep in sleep, the words warped to fit the fancy of his dreaming mind.
"You should wake soon, Noble Kyung. I grow weary of caring for you."
Panic shooting down his body, the cobalt Lunarian's flashed open and stared at the ceiling for a split second before his body instinctively reacted. His arm grabbed the edge of the cover, and in one swift movement, he threw it with enough force for the blanket to cover Xiao. Looking at the bare floor, Kyung panted as panic welled up over his inability recall his surroundings. He lifted his head up and looked up at the hole in the ceiling, a prison just like Huang's room. The room was foreign and yet… familiar. It wasn't his room, nor his father's. Eyes quickly taking in the sparse furnishings, he slowly realized it was Huang's room. He was in Huang's room.
Of course, the Legionnaire had brought him into to his own estate after their brawl. Odd how he was a the lion's den, and yet, safer than ever.
A chill running down his spine at the words he distinctively remembered from his dream, he looked at the figure covered by the blanket he had thrown in a moment's panic and frowned. "Huang…?" He asked tentatively, eyeing the blanket figure suspiciously. The longer he stared at the covered stranger, the stronger the feeling he had that it wasn't his legionnaire friend but someone else.
"Or perhaps it is Xiao….?" Pulling the cover off Huang's older brother, Kyung flushed a little as he recognized the other Legionnaire. "My apologies." Taking the cover completely off Xiao, he folded up to the best of his ability and placed it on the floor. And it was at that time, that his eyes fell on the tray sitting on the ground. On it was a bowl of porridge, and seeing the food, Kyung's stomach growled loudly. Yes, he wanted to eat it… but, he couldn't. It was frustrating seeing his friend's hard labor sitting there for him to eat. Kyung could not even begin to fathom why Huang had such a strong… like for him.

Xiao watched the boy as he begin to wake, it wasn't long though that his vision was hidden from him as Kyung threw the covers over his head. Xiao's reaction though was just to sit there, a little bit baffled and highly amused. What did the boy think to do? Did he assume he was Huang come for another attack and this would let him escape? Or possibly did he panic in fear and that was how he woke? Or maybe it was just how he woke up in general. A small chuckle escaped the older man. When Kyung said Huang's name, Xiao relaxed, the boy hadn't run which was a good sign, and two he had ask for his brother instead of Xiao, while he didn't approve of the love his brother had for the noble. It touched him that Kyung would first as for Huang.
"No not Huang, Little Kyung." The cover removed, Xiao smiled at the boy, "Though I will be sure to tell him you asked of him. No, I am here to watch you as he was sent on a errand." As if on cue, Xiao could hear his brothers footsteps, years of training to hear for his assassin brother gave him acute hearing and he stood up. "Huang will be here shortly actually, I would suggest eating some of the food he made for you as he probably has dire news." Xiao took the folded cover and stared at it, "We told you we would give you protection Little Noble, if you push us far away, we can't help you." Xiao said, his tone taking on two meanings as he left Huang's room, shortly passing him and nodding to his brother as Huang took over watch.
~~~
Huang's errand had been in fact trying to find a escape route for him and Kyung to return him safely, but not only was the estate heavily guarded, for night had fallen in but his sister was back and taking the night shift. She had been aware of his every move on the estate besides their brothers home and dogged him the whole time. Tired and frustrated he returned to his home, Xiao taking leave his room was a sign that he had alerted his brother as he nodded to him. "Thank you Xiao, how is he?" Huang asked, though Xiao did not answer and instead nodded to Huang's room before leaving.
"Kyung?" Huang knocked on his own room's door before stepping and shutting it, looking to the noble boy on the floor, "Sorry for leaving you, I had a errand to run and it took longer then I expected." His eyes went to the food before sighing, "Are you not hungry? Should I make something else?" Huang asked as he came to sit across the boy, a little further giving him the appropriate amount of space that he felt Kyung need to be at least sociable with him. "Did you sleep well? I know this has been tiring on you Kyung, and I am attempting to get you home. However my sister has returned and I will have to be careful around her. She is like me..." Huang cocked his head, "Less powerful but none the less sneaky. She is smart and will find out about you if I am not to careful." Huang sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose in between his eyes. He needed to be slick and sly if he was going to return his love to his home in one piece. Even if it meant his own life to do it.
Leaning against the wall, Kyung had his forehead pressed against the wall. A hand covering his eyes. He was a mess. Years of failed assassination attempts and paranoia at the hands of his step mother had reduced him into this pitiful state of mistrust. Trying to calm himself, he turned to face Xiao when he heard those words. His mind was reeling, trying to decipher what Xiao meant by such words. But, before he could question the Legionnaire, Xiao was already out the door. He got up to follow after the older man but paused and sat back down as he floor sank underneath him.
When the door slid open and Huang stepped in, Kyung exhaled in relief. Being stuck in this place, this room, was making him tense. He was stuck in the estate of one of the most notorious Legionnaire families for killing Nobles without a second thought.Certainly his circumstances were a little better off since Huang was with him, but it was still dangerous for him to be here all the same.
He was more stressed than he needed to be. Silver orbs on the Legionnaire, Kyung stared at Huang for what was longer than necessary before looking away to the floor. "No, it's fine. You are not required to stay by my side. You have duties to your brother and yourself." When Huang mentioned the tray of food, Kyung shook his head. "Stop it Huang." The words were said without anger, rather laced with strange lethargy. In fact, he sounded worse after the nap than he had before. "I woke up just moments before you walked in." Reaching for the tray, he took the bowl of porridge and took a small spoonful. It was light, a little bland and cold, certainly not what he was normally served. Yet, despite its faults, it was still the best porridge he'd ever had. He eagerly took another spoonful, and for a second, Kyung could actually picture Huang wearing an apron in a kitchen bent over the counter as he diced vegetables for this meal. It shot a pang through his chest, and he stared at the bowl in his hands.
"You are too kind to me, Huang-Fu. And, it is delicious. The most delicious bowl of porridge I've ever had." He looked up slowly and gave the legionnaire a sad smile. He sat there mixing the contents of the bowl back and forth with his spoon before nodding at the question of having slept well. When Huang mentioned his sister's return, the Noble retainer gave the assassin a nervous glance. He was going to say something when his vision suddenly doubled.
Not wanting to spill, he took the bowl and reached out to place it on the tray. Yet, given his distorted depth perception the bowl slipped out of his grasp. It landed on the floor with a loud clack as its contents spilled out on the smooth floor.
"I'm sorry!" Leaning forward to clean up the mess, his breath hitched as his bearing swaying. He held out his hands out to balance himself but instead, he fell forward with a dull thud to the floor and into the mess on the floor. Lying there, Kyung began to realize just how cold he actually was. The room was close to freezing and tendrils of ice were wrapping around his skin. Shivering, he pulled his arms around him and called out hoarsely for Huang. "Huang… it's cold… so cold.." Trembling, Kyung curled up into the fetal position trying to warm up.
"I told you I would stay beside you." Huang sighed, "Duties were dismissed by brother, and ultimately once dismissed by him, Mother is not able to post mission for me as well." Huang took a deep breath, "This actually seems like a better situation, the worst is my sister like I said before. But without me doing missions, I am sure mother will push it on her. If it turns out like I suppose, you'll be free within the next day." Huang shook his head, before continuing to pinch the bridge of his nose and looking at the food. "Well I mean if its not something you like-" Huang quieted at the other boys request. His hands stopped and placed neatly in his lap. The quiet dog expression as he stared at the other in silence, watching as he took the bites. It pleased him more then he anticipated that the other enjoyed his food so much, even when he saw the face tainted with a sadness. Huang himself was pleased and sad that he could bring both joy and pain to his love, to be able to slowly take control of some of the boys feelings and direct them to him alone.
"I am sorry that I was not able to give it to you warm, or even hot." Huang reached for the tray and instead watched in horror as the tray dropped from Kyung's hands. The bowl clanged, spilling liquid all over before finally resting on its side, slightly rolled the rest of the contents out. It was all in slow motion to him. When the other boy shouted sorry and tried to quickly clean the mess up, Huang could only stare with widened eyes, unsure of how to act. "Kyung!" Huang tried to shout out but came out as a hoarse whisper. His hand reached out to catch the boy but missed, "No!" he quickly dragged himself over and pulled Kyung into his arms, cradling the boy across his chest. "It's okay Kyung, Its okay." he whispered to the boy, unsure how to calm the other down. His free hand reached to one of the pallet blankets and pulled it over them, trying to heat the other boy from his coldness.
"Kyung, come on love." Huang whispered in the other boy's ear, bringing him closer to his chest. "I'm right here, take all my heat, come on Love, take all of me."
Shivering from the cold, Kyung eagerly pressed closer against Huang for warmth. Pulling the blanket closer around himself, he let out a low groan. "Stop moving, you're making me dizzy." He murmured. Slowly reaching up, he pulled the golden comb in his hair, causing for the long silky black strands falling neatly down his back. He placed the comb inside a small pocket in his sleeve and shifted so that he could rest his head more comfortably against Huang's chest while sitting in the other's lap.
"So warm…" He mumbled in half delirium. Everything around him was swirling, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to think or even stay awake. He was somewhere, but he didn't know where. The name escaped him… Right now, he just knew he was with Huang. The warmth and that smell characteristic to Huang wrapping around him in an embrace of comfort. Of course his friend would be there for him. Huang would keep him safe. Fingers curling around the fabric of Huang's shirt, his eyes slowly closed as he fell into light sleep while muttering his friend's name softly.
Huang held close to his lover and friend, making sure that the blanket was wrapped secruley around him. It was time for Kyung to be returned to his home and to safety once more. After all that Huang had done, it was only fair to right the wrongs. He called his brother to him, and explained his plan. it didn't take long to put in action as Xiao loved the dramatics, he feigned sickness in the courtyard of the Lee estate, calling for his fiancee while everyone was distracted, Huang made his escape through the back gardens. He was sure his sister would stop him, and when she didn't, he thanked the goddess that she took pity on him and for her watching over his journey.
It wasn't more then an hour when Huang arrived at Kyung's elaborate estate, one he only knew because of his many days traveling by to check on his love. It wasn't creepy at all and he had managed to befriend a couple of the servants with his calm and almost aloof demeanor. As he arrived with Kyung wrapped in the blanket, he signaled for one of the servants he had grown acquainted with.
"Here, Your master, I found him asleep nearby. Tell him that he is safe now." Huang passed the boy over to the servant almost reluctantly though, as if he didn't truly want to give him away. Which in all honesty was true, he wanted to savor the feel of the boy for longer then now. but he was tired, and strained and Huang couldn't bear the damage he had caused. He slipped a small note in Kyung's sleeve, where he had seen the gold comb placed before turning to the servant. "He is in need of a warm bed and fire, hurry take him away." The servant's head bobbled in response as he took off in a rushed run, trying not to boggle Kyung awake.
"Farewell my love until we meet again." Huang whispered, pressed his fingers to his lips in a final kiss before disappearing into the shadows. It was time to return to the Lee's legions.
