I hated that poem! It got everyone talking about times that people got their fingers cut off or slammed in doors. Then there was this whole discussion about gruesome suicides. It made me sick to my stomach. I seriously thought I was going to faint or throw up or something. I mean really, I don't want to hear about that stuff. One kid told this story about how his friend got his fingers stuck in the car door and his brother kept slamming the car door into his fingers over and over again yelling "why won't the door shut!" not realizing that he was pretty much chopping off the kids fingers. EWWWW!!!! Why must we read gruesome poems like that. sad

We never talked about suicides or people smashing their fingers in anything. O:< We kept getting distracted though xD, by a plethora of things. I didn't like the second poem that was pretty much all about sex. Ellsworth told us that for the first three months of marriage that's generally what both people think about and want. That made me feel sick. Not to the same extent as you, but still... Blood is so much prettier than sex. xD

Ha ha. I thought the second poem was weird. Ecspecially the ending where she's picking up his bones with the chopsticks. WEIRD!!!

I know. sad So I have another weird Ellsworth quote!!! It happened on Tuesday.
Ellsworth: I'm going to bite your fingers off and feed them to your dogs! Angela: How barbaric. Braxton: You are the most dramatic grown man I've ever met.
blaugh
That class is always interesting. On an unrelated note, something funny happened today in band. Mr. Reynolds started yelling at Rachel for texting only to discover that she was just messing with her piccolo. She didn't let him forget it for the rest of the class period. It was awesome. smile Then we started discussing how cool it would be to have a piccolo shaped cell phone. LOL.
