Horus took a deep breath and looked out at the expanse of sand in front of him. It was a rather daunting sight seeing all that chaos and potential for dying spread out in never ending waves in front of him. From his position on the pyramid the lines of green and life the river brought to his land was hidden leaving him feeling very lonely. He had come back to his birthplace to find everyone gone; his parents, his childhood friends, everything. How was he supposed to restart his tribe like this? Personally Horus was starting to think the modideities themselves had been in the desert sun too long. He had a brief notion of jumping in the river to try and cool off after all his coat was rather dark and black, which tended to over heat him very quickly, but he had spotted a crocodile basking on the other side of the river bank. Crocodiles where not fun to fight and they mostly won, so it was just safe to sit here on the pyramid looking out into the desolate desert all by his lomesome. “I need to get a better life” Horus shook his head, wonder why in the world the Modideities had picked him of all people.

Hitoru made his way up the side of the Pyramid. Horus had invited him back to his lands to come join his tribe. He was excited and nervous at the same time. He had never been apart of any tribe before. The journey was long and hard. He had never traveled as far as he did in the last past couple of days. When they had arrived he was amazed by all the sights he saw. The pyramids, the river, and statues. It was all amazing.
Sadly by there arrival they had also learned that everyone Horus had known was gone. Hitoru didn't any parents growing up but he knew Horus must be hurting inside. He wanted to do whatever he could to make the fox feel better. He climbed to the top where he found him. "Phew..." He walked up to him panting. "Man... if you really need to loose a few pounds... just climb one of these a few times a day...." Amun flew through the hot desert sky. He had been traveling for many moons in search of a place called home. So far he was unsuccessful. He glided through the air on the updrafts lazily. He had also yet to see any other foxes. He had hopped if he were to find a home he would at least be able to meet some other foxes. Down below he spotted a nice beautiful river. It had been a wile since his last drink and the though of fresh water only made him thirst for it more. He made a direction change and headed for a landing area near the waters edge.

Horus looked down at hitoru and smiled, so maybe he wasn’t alone as he thought he was. He had been having a hard time adjusting to his once home being so barren, but Hitoru had been a blessing. Of course it still amused him the other fox had climbed up so many stairs to come be with him. Some times Hitoru was just crazy like that. “Yes it is a bit of a work out isn’t it… but its one of the highest places around and I like the view. Of course I guess from this side it is a little depressing. All that sand gets to me, I don’t think it was ever this dry… but the river is flooding so the black sand and green should come back rather fast don’t you think?” Horus suddenly frown as a shadow entered his line of vision it was rather weird looking and a little to big to be a bird of prey or even a vulture. Looking up he was surprised to see the outline of a phim against the sun.

Fyra ran along the pyramid shadow. The sun was hot on her back and the shade felt good. The shadow looked funny though and she looked up. It looked like there was a fox or two on the pyramid and with a shrug she started to run up the stairs.
By the time she reached the top, the purple fox was out of breath. "Now.. why did... I just... do that?" She looked to her left and saw the two foxes and the view. "Now that is a sight to see." She said to nobody in particular. Her tail waved happily as she took it all in.

Horus raised a comical eyebrow at the sudden entrance of foxes, well so far it was really two if the phim decided to land, but having it come right after he said this place was lonely made him question again if perhaps the deities might know of something else going on. It made him happy to see foxes around this place again. Even if right now they were few in number, it was still better than when he had come a few days ago to find the place overrun and deserted. “Yes it is a very beautiful view is it not” Horus agreed turning towards the vixen. He frowned and shook his head. “And I’m back to thinking they’ve been in the sand too long” he mumbled under his breath. Company was great and all but so far all the foxes had been very dark in nature. If they where to stay… and that were a big maybe he was definitely going to have to do something about shelter and shade, perhaps he could start by working on those left behind temples the humans his tribe had lived before had left behind. It was definitely better than over heating in the sun. “ welcome to Kemet” Horus said with a smile.

Rynn was dying! It was hot even with her short bright fur. She had come to this land because she wanted to go adventuring and this place had seemed interesting when she heard about it. but I didn't know how hot it really was. She was glad the last person she spoke with before she left told her to bring lots of water in a canteen. She had been sparse with her water consumption so she still had plenty left. Looking ahead she saw a pyramid. At least she thought it was a pyrmid.. If it's another mirage I am gonna kill someone!
After quite some time of walking she ended up in the shadows of the pyramid.. I am much cooler.. that means it's not a mirage! Rynn started up the steps to see what the view would be like from the top in a much better mood then a while ago.

Horus looked down at the pyramid towards another fox that had seemingly shown up. At least this one seemed to be of a lighter color. Okay now he knew instead of the modideities being crazy, which was still up for debate, they where most definitely mocking him. First he commented on the lack of foxes showed up, and then he thought about the dark colors the foxes seemed to have and now a light fox had shown up. Well he better start making his way down the pyramid so that if any one else showed up they at least wouldn’t have to climb all the way up. It was part of his job as Insibya to see if the visitors to his land where hostile and if not make sure their stay for however long was as comfortable as fate would allow. He hopped up to his feet and started making his way down the pyramid to meet the new vixen.

Jaci padded along, sticking close to the river edge. It had been a tough choice for her to leave for normal river home, but for some reason she no longer felt as content there as she once had.
Now, she had to question her sanity. What kind of dummy was she, to leave a perfectly good land with water and come to this place covered in sand with with giant lizards that swam in the ever-changing river. It had taken her several close calls to learn how to move about without getting eaten.
Her current destination was a giant mound of rock, getting bigger and bigger as she moved closer. It would make a good place to stop and rest for a moment. She thought she saw spots of bright colors on the thing, but she'd learned not to trust her eyes unless whatever it was was right in her face.

Fyra nodded her agreement and watched as he went down the stairs. "I am not going back down for a little while," she said to herself. She sat and stared at Kemet. It had a nice ring to it.
She looked down to see what had drawn the males attention and made out the light colored fox. As she continued to watch the desert, there was some extra color moving at the water. She sighed and ran back down the stairs. At least it was easier to go down them.

Jaci had finally drawn level with the giant rock, shaped like an odd triangle. Maybe this was what was called a pyramind?
She looked over out at the water. It was murkier farther out and she could see those giant lizards lounging in the sunlight on the other side of the shore. The water was clear enough in the shallow zone that she felt safe in leaning forward to get a drink.
Jaci was focusing more on the water than the top of the pyramid thing, and the angle she was at prevented her from seeing the others decend.

A touch of nervousness passed over the hopefully to soon be Insibya and he took a deep breath before pulling his act together and getting ready to greet the new arrivals. Apparently he wasn’t going alone however as he noticed the purple vixen start down the stairs as well. Hopefully she would find it easier to go down, since it normally was. Horus paused in his decent and shook his head. He probably should have introduced himself and done the normal customary greetings instead of pointing out how pretty the land was. Ah well it would definitely cut down on repetition if he waited until everyone was gathered. He knew it did get tiring to have to say ‘hi welcome to kemet, my name is Horus… lalalala…’ yep definitely wait to pass around names until he knew all the foxes that seemed to be showing up where done coming.”

Rynn looked up and saw the fox headed down toward her. Her eyes widened in surprise. She hadn’t expected to see another fox in this area. Looking up more she noticed the shadows of even more foxes. Rynn backtracked a few steps. Who was this guy? Rynn held her thoughts as the male passed her apparently headed down. She followed him wondering what this place was. She didn’t want to interrupt him because he looked like he was deep in thought.

Fyra stopped at the sight of another vixen. She was just near the bottom of the pyramid and took a little jump to the sand. She turned back to look at the light colored fox. "Hello. Are you new here, too?" Her eyes shifted to see where that male went to before going on. "It is a pretty view from up there. I would stay and chat, but I seen something near the water."

Horus chuckled a bit; he went up to the top of the pyramid to think and everyone followed him up. Then when he voiced his opinions for more company everyone started showing up and now they where all coming down. He probably should have waited at the bottom and saved them all the energy. Well he was rectifying that now. Of course he doubted the phim he saw earlier would have any trouble getting to him should he choose to land. Finally he drew himself out of his thoughts and turned towards the light colored modifox that joined him some time in his thinking. “Yes my other guest does have a point. You seem to be new here. Welcome to Kemet. I am this land Insibya… oh sorry you would probably know that term as elder… my name is Horus. Its my pleasure to have you here. You are welcome to stay as long as you want” he said. He turned towards the purple vixen. “the same goes for you as well”

Jaci had drunk her fill of water and had begun to examine the pyramid. She was tiny, maybe she could find a nice c***k out of the stone that could serve as a den for her. The river was right there, and there was a moderate amount of vegitation due to the proximity of the water. She might even learn to hunt land animals if she had to, on the days the water lizards were too numerous in the water.
Voices reached the permakit's ears, causing her to stop. Foxes, out here? Apparently insanity was tranmitted through sand. The bouncy female voice sounded like she was greeting another. It wasn't one she recognized, which was to be expected. What Jaci didn't expect was the male voice that chimed in; that one was familiar.
"Heru," she exclaimed disbelievingly, dashing along the pyramid perimeter to reach the voices. As far as she knew the insane sand only made you see things that weren't there, not hear things. She had never expected to meet anyone out here, let along someone she'd met before.
