Fae took her food. Though she suddenly wasn't as hungry as she though she would be. "How many more of us are there?" Fae picked at her eggs a few times till her sunny side up yokes burst and leaked down to soak her toast.

"Hundreds." Shane replied, stuffing his face once more, "but in our division? Two." He swallowed the food and glanced around, "Always late, or something of the sort."
Clyde shook his head, "Both of them had early morning E.T.D.'s and if they're not coming back from those, they probably went to bed."

Fae leaned in to talk low, for what was probably the hundredth time. "So even though we are dead we get hungry and stuff. So what happens of we get shot or some thing? Does that end up hurting, can we die again?"

"Hurts like a b***h." Clyde told her, "But you heal. Nothing can kill you if you're already dead." He flipped over his wrist to check the time on a watch he either stole off a dead millionaire or made a lot of money doing something none of them knew about. "I guess they're not coming. Finish up children, then get to reaping."

"Damn." Fae had been planing suicide but there went that idea. Shoveling food down Fae found she could eat all her meal and not feel so sick. "Ok ready to go." She said pushing the empty plate away from her.

Clyde sighed, obviously unhappily, "I guess I'm babysitting you today, as the other two aren't showing their asses." He reached into his wallet and pulled out his cash to leave on the table, "Don't forget you're paying for Shane. And don't let him get you again, it's very sad to see people treating him like a kid, he's twenty this year."
Shane rolled his eyes, "Tell me about it, I was in the obits today about how my parents are having some tenth anniversary funeral. Talk about not being able to let it go." he finished shoveling down his food and washed it down quickly with his coffee, "I'm off to reap!" He leapt out of the seat and ran out, calling back, "Thanks for breakfast new girl!"

Fae sighed and watched the kid run off. "So he is like the same age as I am?" She asked right as the waitress came to drop off the bill. Fae looked it over and pulled out what little money she had left. Payed the bill and was saddened to find she only had twenty dollars left to her name. "So I guess I need more money."

"So I guess you need a job." Clyde climbed out of the booth and stretched. "We'll take my car, Tootse, your reap is only down the street. Just so you know, any further and I'd make you pay for gas." He pulled his keys lout and swung them around his finger, "Hurry it up, sugar, I ain't got all day."

Fae slid out of the booth as fast as she could move. She didn't want this job. But it didn't mean she wasn't going to work hard at it. "So where can I go to find a job?"

"Worry about your reap first." Clyde walked out of the IHOP and unlocked his car, his really really nice car. He opened his door and climbed in, "One thing you might want to pay attention to is where your reap works, I mean, if you're qualified, there's a job opening for you."

Meanwhile, Shane had taken his bike and was pedaling fast along the highway when he realized he was in just about the right place for his reap. He came to an abrupt stop and looked around for high risk factors when he saw it, at the red light, an angry man had stopped, below the traffic light rather than behind the line, and was swearing at the man pulled up behind him. He approached the window of the man's car and knocked on it.
Confused, the man rolled down his window and asked the kid what he wanted. Shane just reached in and pet the man's shoulder then backed away from the car. Confused, the man started yelling out toward the kid, but not before the traffic lights in their entirety gave way and came crashing down on the man and his car.
When it was over, the man's soul was standing beside Shane and looking in a confused manner at the scene. "You're dead now. How about make some peace with it because I have things to do today, okay?"

Fae got in, the first thing she wanted to do was mess with the radio. She stopped herself from doing it. But it was still tempting. "So like I take the place of them? Isn't that a little like taking advantage of the dead person? Like hey your dead let me take your job, thanks fr being dead by the way there buddy."

Fae struggled to the the post-it note from her pocket. "Fifty five north avenue." She said looking at the clock in the car and back to the time one the note. "We got fifteen minutes." She said looking around.

"Alright." Clyde headed in that direction. He knew the town like the back of his hand after all of these years. "So, any idea what kind of job you want to look for? McDonald's is always an option of course."

Fae folded her arms and really thought about what kind of job she wanted. Of course she couldn't have her old job. That had been a once in a life time opportunity. "No way I want to work some where I can get better benefits then fast food." Again she thought a few moments before she spoke. "Disney. I wanna work at Disney. That way I can get in to the damn park as much as I damn well please."
