Unfortunately I never could get a copy, and the preview one I found online, was missing very large chucks of text, so it wasn't very helpful. crying
I am following the discussion though, just don't have a lot to add to it. sweatdrop

I'd like to have a copy for myself someday. I'd also like to get a copy for one of my students.

Yeah, I'm really interested to know perspectives of non-Heathens too 3nodding
I haven't seen that book, Raven. But, yesterday I came across a Asatru beginners' book I hadn't seen before. "Asatru for Beginners" by Erin Lale. I can't find a preview anywhere so I don't know what it's like but I'd be interested to read it, if only to see if I'd recommend it to others.

Has anyone seen Artistic Genocide about? She said she'd picked up a copy and was up for joining in the discussion. Ah well. Moving along.
Where are you at San? I just got into the Toasts, Boasts, and Oaths section.

So I need to finish this. I've been mostly reading and re-reading the ritual section and the chapter intros to try and disect things a bit. I'm trying to decide just how I want to run my Yule ritual and I'm obsessing a bit. How's it been going for you?

The Asatru group that was at the PPD had a copy for sale when I went, I almost bought it. I wish my car was in better shape I'd probably go check them out, but they are just far enough away that it's too far when you don't trust your car to make it there and back (and definitely not on a regular basis).

I did the goddesses one yesterday, onto Ways of Devotion now.
I'd really like to know Skadhi. She seems pretty awesome. But I really think it would not be appropriate.

I get along quite well with Skadi. She's generally pretty cool. She does hold a grudge though, and considereing you relationship with Loki, I can understand your hesitence. Still, her beef is with Loki. I don't know how far it extends to his followers and such. Have you ever considered trying to approach her anyway? Just a sort of, "Hi, would you be willing to talk to me at all or is the Loki thing going to be an issue?" She may well tell you to f*** off but it could be worth a shot. Be up front but respectful if you do.

I am an Odin's Girl. Though I do have a good relationship with Njord as well. I haven't really spent much time with Thor. I am interested in meeting Loki as I think he has stuff he could teach me. As a sales person I feel his cunning would be a good influence on sales.
I have had people worn me about worshiping Odin. They say that things tend to go badly for his followers. I feel that while he may be a strict God and not one to Piss off, I feel that he is there for his children.
I have only spent a little time with Frigga, and mostly that is when I am having a few issues dealing with my mom or my feelings of abandonment from my foster and biological parents. She seemed like a sweet Goddess welcoming to any who would ask for motherly advice.
