"I see," Tori said with a nod of her head as she glanced over at the sleeping figure. "My horse never minds," she whispered. "He takes a bit after me..." She carefully lifted the latch to the stall with her free hand.
Delta's ears swiveled the moment the latch had been lifted. Both eyes opened and he snorted. He raised a hoof and swished his tail.
Tori held out her hand and put it on the horses muzzle. "It's me," she whispered. "I brought a friend." As she spoke she slowly moved her hand and reached out of the bareback padding.

"He's squishy up top and has bad dreams?" Thing inquired, though that probably wasn't the answer at all. Hey, it's what Tori said! That it took after her!
Thing waved to the horse, seeing as it wasn't much help in getting bareback padding. If it HAD been able to help in that, the tot would probably have been asking why they needed padding if it was supposed to be bareback - bare is bare right?

"I guess his muzzle could be considered squishy but it's not something really want to squish," Tori giggled. "He's temperamental at times like me but no bad dreams," she said as she picked the tot up and put it on the horse. Using the side of the stall she was up in seconds.
Tori did like Natalia had showed her. She leaned over just enough to unlatch the lock of the stall while still be seated atop the horse. Next she leaned forward and grabbed Delta's mane. THING was secure between her arms. She made a click with her tongue and the horse started walking forward.
"Where to?"

"Out of the stable." was the very serious answer from the toddler. Well where else were they supposed to go? They couldn't very well ride the horse up the stairs or into the house, that was for sure! So they had to go outside and ride it around there. "We go outside."

THING certianly had a good point. First they had to get out of the stable and out inot the lawn before they could go anywhere. She chuckled and lead the horse forward just enough so she could lean to undo the next latch.
As she leaned forward so she wouldn't get smack in the head she caused THING to lean forward. Not that the tot would be complaining as well as THING put it her upper half was soft and squishy. Out side she sat up and shook a bit.
"How about the beach?"

"There's sand there. And water." Thing replied in a matter-of-fact manner. "Do horses like sand and water?" Because they had to not go somewhere the horse didn't like, right? Otherwise it would try to leave. Thing had seen beaches on the tv and Lily'd shown her pictures from them that she took with Lucifel.
After a moment, THING continued, "We should go if horse doesn't not like it." it explained, reaching out to pet Delta's mane.

"Lots of sand and plenty of water. But the water at the beach isn't for drinking... It is sea water which means it contains a lot of salt. Horses like salt but to much for them isn't a good thing," Tori giggled. "Delta loves the beach. We go there a lot, just as the sunsets or rises. We might actually catch the rise if we hurry."

"Okay." THING agreed, leaning back against Tori's pillows and looking ahead. "To the beach, horse." it said that with a small point forward, but not really much emphasis or enthusiasm. The critter was just being silly really.
As they road past trees and grass, THING commented, "Horse is fast. Can it go faster?"

She let go of Delta's mane and gave THING a good squeeze. She sighed contently. She didn't need to worry about guiding her horse because he just knew where he was going form having been so many times previous.
"He can go really, really fast. But it is isn't wise to do so without proper riding gear for the horse. It could hurt us and him," she said as she rubbed the side of Delta's neck.

"Oh. yes. Let's not hurt the horse." Even if it was strange that he wouldn't be able to run fast without stuff he wasn't born with on him. Unless it was them making him not able to run fast. That had to be it.
"He won't run away if we get off, right?"

"Most are good to stay and graze. But, at the same time if spooked or left unattended for long periods of time they automatically head back to the stables or places they call home."

THING! thought for a moment before nodding quietly. "Out the window. But there were buildings in the way and our windows face the wrong way. It wasn't very nice. Is it nicer facing the right way?"
