I owned this game once in the past and made the mistake of trading it in. I recently found it again and have been reunited! They need to make an updated version, but more like Super Smash Bros but with FF characters only.

I like to see another Fighting game featuring FF charaters...I can picture Cloud fighting Squall, throw some Other Final Fantasy Charater in like:
FF4: Yang
FF6: Sabin
FF7 sad of you know!!) Cloud,Sephiroth and Tifa!!
FF8: Squall,Seifer and Zell
FF9: Armart
FF10: Tidus and Auron
FF 10-2: Paine
That's all I could think of!!

I think that a good fighting game would be like super smash brother melee!
charaters would be...
ff7-cloud, aeris, tifa, yuffie, and cid
ff8-squall, zell, rinoa, selphie, and seifer
ff9-zidane, and vivi
ff10-tidus, wakka, and auron
ff11-vaan, and ashe
unlock characters-ff7-sephiroth, ff8-laguna, ff9-dagger, ff10-kimahri, ff10-2-yuna, rikku, and paine, ff11-balflear
and thats it sweatdrop

Your a couple of years late there dude, it came out in 1999 on arcade and was realesed fast on the PS consule, however the game is kinda lacking in fighting but seeing FFVII in a fighter genre was pretty awsome.

V Ex-~ The secret characters that relate to FFVII are as follows: Cloud Strife Sephiroth Zack Yuffie Kasaragi Tifa Lockheart Vincent Valentine I believe the second Vincent appearance when he was a Turk is nothing more but an alternative costume, but I could be wrong. You forgot one. If you get the hidden character Djongo (Or whatever his name was, the big grey boss dog) his second costume is Red XIII. I haven't tried this for myself, but many have told me its true.

Note: It is NOT made by square. It is made by Dream Factory and it is not in any way based on FFVII, except for the inclusion of Cloud, Zax, Sephiroth, Yuffie, and Vincent. Originally it was an arcade with none of the FF characters and it was to be ported to PS1. Since Squaresoft was marketing it, they and DF agreed to add the FFVII characters to the action. They, of course, stole the screen, which kind of pissed me off because it was a good game anyway and had nothing to do with FFVII. Django is not in any way Nanaki, FYI.
