After having grounding Cyrus, GBL would behind his ground assault. Placing him at the head of his opponent, he would grab the elbow of Cyrus to hold him down and place a hand on his head for support. He would finally leap up and aim to drive a knee into his shoulder.

"Ahh!" Cyrus' body shuttered as the knee was driven into his shoulder. He thrashed about from the pain.

Leaving the knee in his shoulder for a moment, GBL also kept a hold of Cyrus's wrist. He glanced around the crowd before getting off the shoulder and leaping back up. This time, his other knee would aim to drill into the elbow of Cyrus. Slowly, GBL was taking apart of Cyrus's left arm.

"Ahh!" Cyrus gave a similiar reaction from the last. Serious damage was being applied to Cyrus' left arm, which would give him a major handicap this early in the game.

With that, GBL would proceed his offense by attempting to pick Cyrus off the ground while keeping ahold of the left arm. He would then attempt a rather unique and new offensive move from his arsenal as he twisted the arm back and tried for a Hammerlock. If he would succeed, he would get beside Cyrus while holding his hand back in the hammer lock and placing a hand over the shoulder of his opponent. The move would easily be described as a Hammerlock Russian Leg Sweep.

After hitting the move, GBL would follow up with a simple pin attempt, not bothering with hooking the leg.

With the kickout, GBL would react by grabbing the arm he had been working on and flipping him over, using his kickout as momentum to do so. The attempt would be to lock his leg around the arm and go for a Crossface. Of course, it wasn't just a crossface. It was a Cravate Crossface, The Hangsman Clutch II

As GBL grabbed him, Cyrus quickly began flailing about, trying to slip out of GBL's grip and get back to his feet. It seemed like a childish technique, but he was completely useless if he was to be grounded the entire match.

Keeping the hold locked in for a few seconds, GBL released it and rolled himself back up to his feet. He placed himself in a knelt position and awaited for Cyrus to return to a standing base.

Cyrus rolled to a knee and took a moment, holding his arm from the pain. After the brief moment, he stood back to his feet.

Now GBL needed to target something other than the arm. Both of his moves affected the head, so targeting the arm was just for insurance. He would lunge out at Cyrus and aim a quick lock-up once more.

As GBL came close, Cyrus would fake a stumble backwards and suddenly pounce foward for a Lion's Fury.
