He had to smile at her method of dislodging him, after all it one that Patience hadn't used. He rolled lazily over on to his back and looked up at the stars once more, he really did like looking at them. He only allowed himself a moment to stare before he rolled fully over and sat up to watch her jump into a tree. "Don't push me little rabbit."

He said with a flash of his teeth before tilting her head and answering her, "I suppose you shouldn't judge a lion by it's look." He smiled softly and watched her. "As for your guard... I will always suprise you. Stop trying."

"Well... I don't actually know any female lions. My sister is a tiger as is my mother." He said with a shrug of his shoulders.

As she spoke again he found himself growling at her, his teeth revealed in a snarl. If she continued to push him he would likely do something he would later regret.

"Plus..." he said, trying to calm himself down before he bit her head off -literally.. "..I believe that men should hunt for their women, protect them. Old fashioned perhaps."

He lowered himself to the ground before rolling over and looking up at her, he had to admit that she was beautiful. Yawning, though it was pretend rather than actual -it added to his 'laziness' attitude. "Cute...." He rolled his eyes, "...you sound like my sister. I think I may have to vomit."

He winked at her for her comments about it working for him, "Well.. when I find myself a woman I will tell you. Maybe I should just keep you instead." He said with a wicked flash of his smile once more.

"Sure... go for it." He said with a smile and a none chalant flick of his tail as he rolled over to his side to watch her disappear.

After she left he looked to the sky once more only to hear another noise, one of another male near by. He rolled to look at, and picked up an agressive scent. His father had taught him well when it came to scents, his family had always been extra sensative towards such things.

Standing up he followed the scent. Ahead of him he could hear the water running in the river, and splashes that he assumed where his little rabbit's. But to the left he saw a shadow.

Gluttony watched as the elegant movements of his little rabbit jumped over him to stand behind him. In a way he disliked her being there.... after all, his father said you should only keep someone you trust near your rear. But right now he knew there was something more important to consider. A threat. And she was right... it dared to be in his territory.

Reverting to his 'silent' stalker mode he simply nodded to Shiro as an acknowledgement of her their and her words before he lowered himseld to the ground and moved with such speed through the shadows that it didn't matter that he was white and often easy to see at night.

Because this was his territory he knew every tree overhang, every root that stuck out, even the way the river flowed and danced in path.

Then, not to far away, on the other side of the river. He saw something of solid black approaching. He would have been scared had he not been a lion.... and showing off a little.

He jumped out of the shadows, landing in the center of the river as he let out a might roar to the shadow creature. It echoed around them, shook the ground and even made his tail vibrate..... but more importantly.... it caused the shadow to cower.

"What is your intention in MY land." He snapped.

Gluttony snarled at the creature. "Not on my land." Was all he said before he growled at the beast again, he could tell that Shiro was no longer on the ground with him... it was like a set of eyes where boring into flesh.



Gluttony didn't even justify that with an answer, he simply pounced the beast in one graceful and well practised movement. Teeth and claws ripped into his flesh as the creature tried to wriggle below him. When he tasted blood and felt it covering his white fur he jumped off and barked one order. "Go!"

The truth was that Gluttony had always been very territorial. He disliked things on his land that he did not allow, he also disliked the company of most others around him. But if he considered something 'his' even for a fleeting moment they were under his protection.....

Gluttony watched as the shadow creature left his land, a wide grin of satisfaction covered his face making him look almost charming and handsome, of course that was soon replaced with a look of mild shock as his little rabbit stroked herself against him softly.... it was a gesture that felt almost... sweet.... warm...... he didn't know the words to describe it, and before he could think about it futher she moved away and rolled onto her back. He did his best to make his expression stoic as he looked at her.

"Glad you finally noticed little rabbit." He said with a half snarl half smile.

He watched her for a moment lowering himself to ground also and rolling so that he could see the stars once more, of course he could also make out her form in periferal view. After a while he spoke, "So.... that kind of thing happen often?" He was almost amuzed by the idea. Of course he wouldn't have been scared off so easily had he gone looking for her.

Uncles.... bar his father all his other relatives seemed to be female. His father had escaped the carousel with his twin sister Desire, and he didn't know much about his mother other than she found her father and they had him and Patience and where in fact expecting new cubs. Yeah, it seemed he would likely have even more sisters to contend with soon, he only hoped they where not all like Patience or he would be soon be grey from sudden aging rather than white.

He wiggled his ears, wondering for a split second what it would be like to have children of his own. Of course that thought was suddenly erased when he heard Shiro move with a faint rustle of grass and movement of air. He turned his head to watch her, she moved like liquid water. Fluid and graceful, yet lethal when crossed. He wanted to smile at the very idea of crossing her... could be.... fun!

She didn't say anything, just oddly remained quiet and returned her gaze to the stars once more. Gluttony usually prefered silence to talking but as he watched her he felt an overwhelming urge to know what she was thinking.... so he asked. "What you thinking about that has stolen your words away?"
