Sin Takahashi noticed his warm smile to her. She couldn't help but give a small but soft smile in return. His smile made her feel comfortable and safe. It assured to her that he would not harm her and that he was a friend. A kind and gentle friend. The one thing she needed more than anything besides love. Sin watched him slip the band-aids into the large trench coat that was upon her back, keeping her warm and covered up.

After the absol asked her previous question, her eyes stared up at him as he answered. Those ruby red eyes were glassy and shining as they gazed up at the umbreon. She watched confusion wash over his handsome features. When assured to her that he couldn't ignore someone shouting for help, she frowned further. She wished there was someone like Dendera when she was raped the first time. Or when she was being beaten by her own father. But Sin had to go through everything alone. All by herself. With no friends, no family, no one. Her father would constantly beat her for no reason. She had to suffer alone.

Sin looked up at him, some tears welled into her crimson eyes, but they remained. She tried to hold them back. She was beyond grateful for Dendera to help her. He was the most kindest man she had ever met. She sighed at his question. "Like everyone else in the world," she replied emotionlessly, her voice cracking. As if she was about to cry. But the absol tried to hold all the tears in. She could let them out later when she is all alone in her house. The absol looked up at him. Slowly, the tears dried within her eyes, not a single drop escaped.

Sin continued to walk alongside of Dendera, an inch apart from him. She guided him through the city, leading him to her home. The sounds of car horns, blaring at other cars. She heard the sounds of people's voices. People speaking into their cell phones. People talking to their coworkers, friends, or acquaintances as that walk by. Some just remained silent. There were so many sights and sounds in the city. Sin was looking forward to the peace and tranquility of her household. However, she didn't want to be alone. But what was the difference? She is always alone. Another night alone without a friend or a caring person. It's always the same.

Sin continued to walk, her footsteps light and graceful. Her extremely long silver hair swayed behind her. At each sway, the hair tie that held a very loose ponytail loosened further and further. Until, her hair fell altogether, cascading down her slim body that was blanketed by a huge trench coat.

Dendera was unsure of how to respond to what the girl had said. It sounded so harsh but she sounded so shaken by it. He was sure the world couldn't be as bleak as she painted it with those words. After walking a few more moments with her in contemplative silence he finally spoke up again, his eyes on the street ahead of them, "There are good people out there." he said in a firm confidence, like a promise to the both of them that the world wasn't so bad, that not everyone was like those men that assaulted her.

When he looked to her again it seemed that her hair had fallen, taking shape around her body. The hair tie must have fallen out somewhere along the way, it had been very loose on her hair. Either she hadn't noticed or she just didn't care about the loss of the tie. "I..think you lost your hair tie." he said with a short pause, unsure if she had realized it or not.

Before she had much chance to respond or protest he gently turned her to him by her shoulders, stopping her from walking further just for a moment. He pulled a hair tie that was a pale gold in color from his own pony tail, ebony locks tumbling down thick and bundled as they came undone. Once he had the hair tie out of his own long hair he slipped it over his fingers and reached out, smoothing her hair up into a ponytail, this one less loose than her previous one, tying it with the pale yellow hair tie. "There. You can keep it, I have plenty." he said with a smile as he released her so that she could continue walking, unsure of how much farther her home was.

Sin Takahashi sighed softly. Her soft, red eyes were dull and blank. She continued to walk along side of the umbreon in silence. She felt comfortable, yet uncomfortable around him. No one helped her. No one befriended her. Everyone fled as if she was the plague. But, Dendera. He bothered to accompany her. He bothered to save her life from another raping. Sin felt like she had a friend. Hearing Dendera's strong, confident voice, her head turned to him.

Sin's eyes met his own. Two pairs of genuine rubies. That is what they looked like. She gave a very small smile, which vanished after what he said to her. Sin sighed softly. "Good people or Horrible people, they all treat me the same," she replied. She knew that Dendera didn't know her life story. And if he did, he would get a better understanding of her and why she is treated so poorly. But she didn't want to tell him. It would just end up with him leaving her and never contacting her.

Sin felt her hair as it collapsed out of her pony tail. She felt her silken locks as they crashed into her back. She didn't mind. She didn't like to wear pony tails. She only wore them for work to not get hair in the food. The absol looked to the umbreon, who pointed out that she lost her hair tie. Sin wore a face that looked clueless about the hair tie. "Oh...really? I-i-i guess I didn't feel it come out," she replied, flashing a smile.

As she replied, his hands gently turned her body to him. His hands resting on her shoulders.

Dendera frowned at her response. He couldn't think so negatively of people, he was more optimistic than most could be he supposed. He understood that there were bad people in the world, but felt that there were more kind hearted people out there, perhaps misunderstood, but kind hearted. "Maybe you just haven't been around the right group of people." he suggested, a small smile making its attempts to show on his face once more, persistent optimism.

He hadn't caught the lie when she told him that she hadn't noticed her hair falling. It was a small one and so not one that anyone would look for. He thought nothing of it. He personally preferred to wear his hair up most of the time for the simple fact that his hair was so long and could become rather annoying after too long of having it down. There were however some few occasions where down was the preference, those more private situations.

Once her hair was back up though, this time better than she'd had it before, Dendera turned his attention back to where they were walking. "Is it much farther?" he asked her, just to remind her that he couldn't lead them because he didn't know where she lived. He wore that warm assuring smile though to be sure she knew that he was one of those kind-hearted people that wouldn't hurt her.

Sin Takahashi heard Dendera and stared at him. She didn't choose the people she decided to live around and be among. She didn't choose anything. ALl the people in her life were forced to be in it. Sin noticed the optimism in his enchanting voice. She liked that he was optimistic. She liked that he was nice to her and was friendly to her. Sin enjoyed his company. Sin watched him carefully as he stopped her on the sidewalk and turned her towards him, maneuvering her by her shoulders. His gentle hands slid off her shoulders and moved to his long, thick, luxurious hair that fit his personality well.

Sin watched his hands peel the hair tie from his pony tail, sending his ebony locks to collapse and rest upon his fine figure. Her red eyes sparkled as she saw him. He looked so handsome and charming with his hair let down. He looked almost angelic. Sin's pale complexion was ruined by a light pink blush. She was attracted to him. He was everything she desired the man of her dreams to be like. Someone who wouldn't dare to harm her. Someone who was handsome and charming. Someone that was fun and playful. Who can place a smile upon her face.

Then, he moved closer to her and ran his fingers through her white, silken hair, smoothing her hair and pulling it nicely into a perfect ponytail. Once he finished the ponytail, she just stared at him. Sin smiled softly. "Thank you," she said. Once she was released, they continued to walk. The absol looked to the umbreon when he asked her his question. She knew he was leading the way, and he was actually doing a good job of it. She never mentioned where her home was, but he seemed to keep on walking and leading her there, as if he somewhat knew where she lived. "It's just a few blocks up here and then we make a turn," she informed him. Sin gave him a very sweet smile. A smile as sweet as honey. Her eyes a bit more optimistic. She felt a bit happier around Dendera. He made her feel safe.

Minutes passed. Sin then noticed some creepy men up ahead. Men that she somewhat recognized one day at the grocery store. They were robbers. She remembered being a victim in a hold up. Standing in the same line as the men as they held a gun up to the cashier and demanded for her to place money in their potato sack. While other men held guns to the customers and yelled at her to give them her money as well as other customers. Sin clung to Dendera's muscular bicep. Her smile vanished and her eyes were filled with alarm.

[[Its fine xD Why'd your mom ban gaia? o.o;; ]]

Dendera very seldom felt a need for negative thinking, thoughts like that just brought you do farther so it was better to just think the best of things even if they looked bleak for the time being. He supposed that was why he had a seemingly undying optimism that lit the paths he walked in his life. He figured that this girl must have been through a whole lot for her to be left with little to no optimism about the world around her like this. But he wouldn't force her to see the world his way, to each their own after all.

When the dark-skinned male let down his long hair he noticed a faint pink rise in the girl's face, noticeable even in the scant lighting because of his porcelain complexion. The umbreon wasn't sure what had embarrassed her really but commented regardless, "You're blushing~" he chimed, lightly brushing a fingertip across one of her rosy cheeks.

But it seemed that the light-hearted mood was over when suddenly he found himself being clung to for safety. He looked ahead to where her eyes had roamed, all that he saw was a group of fairly shady men but nothing more. "What's wrong?" he asked with concern in his tone as he stared down at the absol. His eyes traveled back to the men for a moment, but seeing nothing wrong, turned his attention to her once more. "You alright?" he asked, halting in his steps.

Sin Takahashi felt Dendera's crimson gaze upon her face, staring at her pale skin which now had a shade of pink. She then heard him chime in a melodic tone, pointing out that she was blushing. Her ruby red eyes widened with shock. Clueless about her pinkening. Sin's eyes glanced away from the handsome, dark-skinned male that stood before her. A gentle hand, that was hidden within the large trench coat sleeve, lifted to her face, covering her nose and mouth. Shamefully embarrassed about her blushing. The absol began to stutter. "Oh...uh um..I-i-i am?" she asked. She tried to process an excuse that might cover up why she was blushing. Sin was slightly crushing on the umbreon. She was capable of developing feelings for people, but she didn't know many people and they all vanished in her life before she could develop an attraction for them.

The absol felt his gentle finger tips brushing across her rosy cheeks. Making her a bit more shy. Her soft red eyes looked up at him, innocent and glassy like.

As Den and Sin continued to walk and she continued to cling to his arm. Her red eyes watching the group of four shady men she recognized from a grocery store hold up. The absol clung to the umbreon for safety. She had a feeling that there was going to be chaos and danger soon. She remained silent, her eyes drifting away from the shady men. So they wouldn't see that she was staring at them before. Sin heard Dendera's questions, but remained silent. She felt two of the men, brushing passed her. One looked to her and recognized her. But said nothing. The absol remained quiet as they continued too walk. That is, until Dendera stopped. Sin looked up at him, then over her shoulder. She watched the men walk farther and farther away from them. Disappearing in the crowd of people.

Sin looked up to Dendera. "I'm fine. I just recognize them from a grocery store," she replied, her voice soft and light. Audible to only her friend. Sin's arms continued to cling to his arm, but was a bit looser now that they passed by the men.

[[Oh well as long as you got it figured out xD s'all good lol ]]

Dendera just gave a soft laugh to the girl's stuttering response. He was fairly certain he had gotten this sort of reaction from people before but it never really clicked to him that it may be a sign of attraction. The umbreon very seldom thought about relationships or the possibility of them, he was far less sexually driven than the stereotypical male. He was more driven to succeed in his ventures and excel at his talents which often left his social life lacking, strictly having friends over the internet connection of his xbox and more recently his friend Silas that had started coming around.

It was, however, apparent to him that the young girl was rather shy. He couldn't exactly blame her though. Who wouldn't be after having an experience like she'd had in the alleyway? He didn't know if it was over that or just a personality trait for her though. He gave a small nod to her once his soft laughter had ended, to assure her that yes her cheeks were quite red at this point.

Dendera didn't really mind that she had begun to cling to his arm, if it comforted her then it didn't bother him. He wasn't particularly used to having someone on his arm but it wasn't unpleasant. Her eyes seemed to remain plastered to the shady group of men and so when one looked to her, the umbreon looked back at him. They didn't seem to be making a move for her, but something did have her really spooked so Dendera just gave that 'Back off.' look as they passed by. And just as quickly, the men disappeared from sight. "Then why are you so scared?" he asked looking down at her once more after she spoke up. He knew there was something to it, but apparently the girl didn't really want to talk about it.

Sin Takahashi felt comforted by her clinging to Dendera's arm. She hadn't clung to someone's arm in a long time. The last time she did so, it was on a nurse's arm. Sin clung to that nurse for dear life, but the nurse pushed her away. Right when they were arresting her father for child abuse and endangerment. Sin wanted the comfort of another. But never recieved it. She was very thankful that Dendera was now in her life and that he was comforting her.

Sin redness faded faintly, her cheeks now a light pink. His soft laugh made her feel warm. He was very sweet. She hadn't met a male that was ever as sweet as him.

As Dendera and Sin passed by the shady group of males, and one recognized her, she looked up to Den. Seeing the darkness in his eyes and the warning across his face. A silent warning to back off. Sin turned her gaze from Den and the men. She just continued to walk. Her long, silvery hair that dangled in a long ponytail, brushed against her back. Lightly swaying and clashing into Dendera's long black hair. But retracting after each step. Sin's crimson eyes stared off into the distance, and into space. Silent and not intact. She reeled herself back into the real world and then looked up to Den, hearing his question.

The absol gave a heavy sigh. Her mind carried her through her memory. Drawing her back into place not too long ago. To the day where she was robbed at the grocery store. Sin remembered that she recently her $500 on pay day. And she had a couple hundred dollars for shopping. Sin stood in line with her groceries on the conveyor belt. From canned foods to fresh produce. She was in line, behind a man that was apart of a group. As it was his turn, he pulled out a gun and aimed at the cashier. Demanding for her to give him all the money in the cash register.

Other men were in other lanes of the cashier, all pointing guns and ordering the cashiers to insert the money into their potato sacks. While more shady men emerged, demanding the customers in line to lay face down on the floor and to give them all their money. Purses and Wallets. Sin remembered how she refused to give them her money and they slammed her against the counter and pressed a gun to her stomach. Ordering her to give him her money. Sin stood there, refusing. And with the butt of the gun, he hit her across her face and screamed at her, telling her to give him the money. She still refused. He turned around and shot one of the customers, killing him in seconds. Just to show her that he wasn't kidding. Sin, terrified, handed her all $500 dollars she owned. All the money she had.

Sin caused the man to kill an innocent one because she refused to give him her money. She was scared. Sin looked up to Dendera and explained this to him. Her voice soft. Her fingers lightly caressed his dark skin on his bicep. Her eyes staring down at her fingers.Sin finished telling him the reason and stared up at him with her shimmering ruby eyes. "I've been through a lot in my life. A lot of tragedy and danger. What happened before wasn't the first time," she said, her voice cracking. Sin hated her life. She went through so much. She wanted to be happy. She wanted to have a better life. But she couldn't. It was impossible for her.

Dendera had completely missed that Sin had caught him giving a harsh look to the men that passed by. He had figured she wouldn't catch it and they would either stay away from the girl that was apparently frightened by them, or they would confront Dendera at which point he could confront them about the scared absol. It was better though that they didn't make a confrontation and instead just disappeared into the crowd of nameless people, each going their own way, to their own destinations, at their own paces.

It seemed that the girl at his side was relaxing more now, the discomfort having walked away and the embarrassment from his statement seeming to subside. She still wore that faint blush but it was assumed that it would also fade in the moments to come. After a heavy sigh and some walking in silence between them it seemed that Sin was finally ready to answer the umbreon's question. As she spoke up he could tell that the memory had scarred her, that it was a painful story to tell. He could relate to that, some stories were just so bad that telling them made them hurt just that much more. Those were the stories that were easier to lock away than get off your chest.

The story was absolutely appalling, and spoke badly on society. How could such men just be walking the street? Dendera had good faith in the police and the justice system but this was disturbing. "Were there no cameras? Why are those men still out there? Why didn't you tell me, I could have confronted them?" the string of questions followed directly after the girl's story. Obviously Dendera wanted to chase those men down, to alert the authorities, but he felt like it was a little late for that now. Those men could be anywhere by the time he'd finished hearing her story, they were lost in the city now. If he did ever see them again though, you could be sure they would get a very rude greeting from the butt of Hope or Faith, Dendera's named personal hand-guns.

After her story though she informed Dendera that her life had been a series of events like that, which was a tragic thought. But more tragic in his mind was that she was to the point that she didn't stand up for herself. He wasn't sure why, it was something that didn't click in his mind. Maybe it was because he was a male, or maybe because he was raised by a soldier, or maybe living in Africa did it, but whatever it was - when something tragic happened in his life Dendera tried to use it to make himself stronger, he didn't let it tear him down. Finally he just responded with all that he knew to say in a moment like this, "Sorry.."

Sin Takahashi looked up at him as he interrupted during her story. She didn't mind. He was curious. She sighed. Most of those questions were swirling in her own mind. Confusion mixed with them. Her grip around his bicep was loose and light. Just holding on to him because she needed the comfort. She began to answer his questions. "There were cameras. But when they were forcing me to hand them my money, I saw one of them with keys in his hand, a baseball bat with glass shards in the wood, and a tape that was of that day," she explained to him blankly. Sin looked up and into his matching red eyes. "They are still out there because they threatened us that if we tell the cops, they'd find us. They had most of the people's wallets, so they can find their homes," she answered the next question. The third question...well. She didn't know how to answer.

"Because. There are many people in the world that do horrible crimes. But they might have a good reason to do so. Maybe they were in a financial debt with their families and couldn't afford food. When they come to an obstacle in life, and the only way is to commit a crime, well, most people turn to it. And...I don't want you to get hurt. There are quite a few of them and they have guns as well," she replied. Sin didn't want him to disappear from her life like everyone else. He was a good friend. Her only friend.
