Ooh, it seemed like he had ruined Tyler's little set-up there, whatever the veteran had had in mind for Nate off the rebound it had to be scrapped for now, earning him a few extra moments to regain his senses properly from that devastating Yakuza kick while Tyler stomped about and tried something else.

The Natural made not a move as Tyler came to stand over him, upholding his injured facade for as long as possible. When Tyler stepped over him and went to run off the ropes, that was when Nate sprang, literally sprang into action. Making his move in the few moments that Tyler's back was to him he performed a sort of half kip-up so that he was now knelt on one knee almost exactly as he had been before being kicked. From here he would wait for Tyler coming back and when he made to kick at Nate he grabbed Tylers foot and dove into a roll with it, attempting some kind of modified Dragon Screw to hopefully bring Tyler to the mat for the first time this match.

Coming off of the ropes, he ran up to The Natural, Nate Evans. With a swift kick, he was shocked when Evans had popped up. Unable to stop himself, Tyler's legged lodged in to Evans' arms, putting him in a bad position. With Nate's roll forward, the modified Dragon Screw type move took effect and Tyler was unable to counter it, it happened so fast!

When Nate rolled forward, Tyler was spun around and due to his own momentum, he hit the ground hard. But not only that, due to the awkwardness of the whole situation, he ended up hitting the mat twisted wrong, making it that much more painful. As he lay on the mat, he began to roll back and fourth, holding his side where had landed.

It seems The Natural schooled the veteran this time.

Success! It felt good to have caught the wily veteran out for once and Nate continued his roll so that he was once again up on one knee, like he had started.

"Not bad... for a rookie, huh?" He taunted as he once again tapped the side of his head with one finger. Not wanting to waste too much time on this new opportunity though, Nate rose up to his feet and slowly stalked around his opponent and, after spending a brief moment to size up the downed Tyler; taking note of what parts of his body he was trying to protect; he sent a short, sharp kick into his opponent's ribs and side.

As if that wasn't bad enough, he wasn't finished yet. Nate shifted his focus as Tyler rolled about on the mat and this time he had Tyler's right knee in his sights. Maintaining a slow and methodical pace Nate once again took aim and sized up his target, before raising his foot a short distance and then attempting to bring it down hard on the knee of the same leg that he had held onto during his Dragon Roll.

That should give Tyler something to think about for a while.

Holding on to his leg, Tyler noticed Evans doing more of his showboating. Brushing it off, it was only a second later, as he was about to raise up that Evans delivered a swift kick to his ribs. This hit caused him to roll and land near the ropes. Continuing to hold his ribs, Tyler let out a deep breath, easing the pain a bit. But it was only a few seconds later that Nate had advanced and stomped directly down on his knee. Tyler didn't like that.

The pain was like that of getting a Charlie Horse for a moment. This caused him to literally pop up off the ground and hobble to a turnbuckle away from Nate. It only took a moment, for him to kneel down at the turnbuckle to hold his leg. It probably wouldn't be long before Nate would come to attack him, so Tyler drew his attention back to him, trying to ignore the pain as he knelt there.

((What's a Charlie Horse? xD))

Nate watched and continued to stalk Tyler as he hobbled his way to a corner, trying to get some separation and find some time to recover; possibly hoping that Nate would waste more time taunting and showboating so that he could rest up. Not this time.

He followed Tyler to the corner and gave very little time for the veteran to cover up or think of a new strategy before continuing his attack. Standing over his crouched opponent Nate backed him as far into the corner as he could so that he would have little room to slip out of the ring or around him before he set to stomping away against Tyler's right knee. He rained down numerous boots, always aiming for the same spot to magnify the pain that Tyler was feeling. The way that he had managed to wrest control of the match for the time being served as a confidence booster for Nate and with this increase in confidence he began to grow more aggressive.

He ceased his stomping only for a brief moment while he took hold of the top rope for leverage before going back to stomp once more on the knee, this time he would not be raising his boot up again, but would continue to press down with all his weight against Tyler's knee.

Of course his illegal use of the ropes for an advantage had attracted the referee's attention and he began a five-count to disqualify Nate if he did not let up by the end of the count. It was Nate's intention to maintain the pressure against Tyler's knee for a count of four, letting up just before he would be disqualified.

|| Basically a leg cramp? There are different names for it. ||

Nate advanced on Tyler's position just as Tyler thought he would. However, he wasn't exactly in a position to spring out of the way of Nate's advances. When Nate locked him in the corner with no way out but under the ropes, Tyler began taking the stomps, unable to do much. He was able to alternate his arms and other leg in front, foiling Nate's plan to stomp his knee multiple times.

For the brief moment that Nate has stopped, it was good for Tyler. Any time to rest was allowing him to plan his next move on the Rook-..The Natural.

Tyler's body jerked back, his hands grabbing the rope out of instinct. As Nate's foot held Tyler's leg down, the ref crept in, and began pulling on Nate. This didn't help Tyler much. Well, until he decided to take a page from Eddie Guerrero's book.

As the Ref was counting and tugging on Nate, just long enough to Tyler to place his hand through Nate's legs and send a swift lowblow to him. As he did this, he prepared to pop back. While his knee was certainly in pain, he planned to ham it up big time, so that the ref would've suspect him of anything.

((Ah, fair enough then.))

Tyler was good. Better than good, he was a great tactician in the ring and even when backed into a corner and being stomped into oblivion he still managed to foil his offense slightly by shifting around in the corner and not allowing Nate to stomp on the targeted knee every time. Still, it definitely seemed like he was inflicting some damage on his opponent judging by his desperately trying to cover up.

When Nate changed tact and began pressing down directly onto Tyler's knee, he could clearly see that it was hurting him and he listened carefully to the referee's count so that he knew when to let go...

"Gaaarghmph!"

Nate had let his guard slip. He'd thought that he was solely on top in this match now, or at least during that exchange and he had taken his eye off the ball... so to speak. He almost swore as he backpedaled quickly but with an obvious degree of awkwardness out of the corner, nursing his package while glaring wild-eyed and incredulous at Tyler who was now seriously overplaying the damage done to his knee while taking the time to recover from Nate's previous offense.

Nate moved back in, wanting to get back at Tyler for such an underhanded and devious move, but of course the referee wouldn't let him near while Tyler was 'injured'. "Forget him! He used a low blow! Disqualify him!" Nate half pleaded and half shouted his case at the referee while trying to push past him and get back at Tyler. Things were utter chaos at the moment and while not much more than his pride was hurt Nate still found himself hunching over slightly, being more protective of his family jewels now that he knew Tyler wasn't above stooping to that level...

Oh great relief. It seemed his underhanded tactic had worked. It also got the crowd revved up as they weren't sure to cheer or boo the lowblow. Regardless, It had worked as Tyler has planned. His hamming of the injury worked excellent too as the Ref began to hold Nate back from reign down some more pain on Tyler. While the ref had his back to Tyler, he began to stand up slowly. Nate being able to see a smile as well as a bit of laughing coming from the veteran.

As the ref turned to Tyler and began to ask if he was still fit to fight, Tyler seemed to drag it out even more. He was beginning to wonder if his slight 'mind game,' was angry Nate like he had hoped. Shewing the ref away, Tyler began to circle the ring, watching Nate. Everyone could see a slight limp in his step. Could he regain control, or would Nate stay in?

He couldn't deny that Tyler's tactics were aggravating him, but he also had to hand it to his opponent; Tyler Thunder wasn't considered a veteran for nothing. The way he played the referee and; though he was loathe to admit it; played him as well was just flawless. There were definitely many lessons that he could learn from Tyler, but Nate would also teach Tyler not to underestimate an opponent simply because they are new.

As Tyler began to stand up in the corner he caught the smile that Tyler sent his way, almost a mockery and almost an invitation to step this match up to the next level. Nate returned the smile with one of his own, his competitive nature overriding any hard feelings that he might have had over his opponent's choice of tactics at that time. This was what a wrestling match was supposed to be like and Nate knew already that no matter how this match ended out he would be shaking his opponent's hand after the bell finished ringing.

He watched while Tyler gingerly made his way out of the corner, still playing up his injury to the referee even though he had confirmed that he was okay to continue. Nate followed Tyler's lead and began to circle as well, keeping equidistant with his opponent while the crowd seemed to be hanging on their every movement. Wondering what the two superstars were going to do next. Suddenly Nate stopped circling and came to stand in one place, looking first at Tyler and then all around the WWFG arena at everyone in attendance. "Hey Tyler! What say we show these people what a real wrestling match looks like!" It may have seemed a little out of character, and who knew maybe it would even offset Tyler's mind-set a little to see how Nate could take the events of a few moments ago in his stride.

Nate began circling again now with Tyler, clapping his hands once more as the crowd roared their approval and began chanting "Nate! Nate! Nate!" and "Ty-ler Thun-der!" alternately. Nate's smile grew even wider and he suddenly came forward to lock up with Tyler, trying to match strength for strength for a moment before he would duck down and attempt to skirt around and perform a single-leg pick on Tyler's right leg, once again going back for the possibly injured knee.

|| Sorry I took so long. ||

As the crowd seemed to be very in to the match, it would give a great morale boost to both competitors no doubt. Tyler watched as Nate would begin to circle with him. While his leg was rested up, it was still prone to punishment if he didn't want himself. He planned to assure that Nate couldn't take the opportunity to put him in that position.

Tyler eyed Nate down. He was impressed. No doubt the big boys in the back would be too. There was a reason he was called the Natural, it wasn't just a call name, Nate was the real deal. As Nate would stop, he began to speak to Tyler. "If you say so, boss." he replied, smirking at Nate.

Once Nate began to circle, Tyler began to play off his injury. He was hopping about the circle as if nothing had ever happened. Of course it hurt, but he wasn't going to show it. He wanted Nate to think he had freaky recovery time. The two pushed towards eachother, locking themselves in to a test of strength. It seem they were stalemating when all of a sudden, Nate dove down and grappled the leg, attempting to take Tyler down.

Tyler wasn't going to have it this time. Tyler yanked his leg out before Nate could grab ahold of his leg. As if literally pouncing forward, Tyler latched on to the downed Nate. He was going to attempted one of his favorite moves, the Gut-Wrench Powerbomb. He wouldn't be able to lift him all the way due to his leg, but it would still hurt.

((No worries. Nice entrance too by the way, noticed that you got around to editting it.))

Now with solid crowd chants behind both superstars, things were really starting to heat up in the match. Tyler managed to block Nate's attempt at the single-leg takedown and the Natural found himself stumbling before he felt his opponent's arms lock about his waist. He would have attempted to drop his weight down in order to block the lift, but Tyler was prepared for that and deadlifted the Natural up in a gut-wrench before flipping him out and driving him back first down to the mat with a powerbomb. The crowd letting out a long and low, "Oooh..." as he crashed down to the mat.

"Aaaagh..." Nate let out a slight gasp as he arched his back and slid a hand behind him to feel where he had landed. Thankfully the impact wasn't as hard as it may have been, since Tyler's injured knee had prevented him from lifting Nate as high as possible, but even though Tyler had been forced to be careful with the move due to his knee, the move had still jolted him a good deal.

With the hold locked in, Tyler dropped Nate down with one of his favorite moves, the Gut-Wrench Powerbomb. Feeling the impact of him own move, he laughed slight as he rolled away from Nate. His hands rubbed his knee for a moment, lifting Nate's entire weight kinda sucked. Taking just a second, Tyler quickly stood up, hopping off the leg. His eyes went down to Nate. He thought about using one of his finishers, but that wouldn't do. That move certainly didn't have enough 'umfh' to daze Nate that long.

His posture changed, as he began to seemingly cut Nate's line-of-sight. He began to stalk the Natural as he would stir to stand to his feet. He watched and waited for Nate to start to his feet. Taking a stance, once Nate gave him the opening, Tyler would attempt his signature, Beyond The Thunder-dome, a yakuza kick that he puts all of his possible force in to. If Nate was to dodge this, Tyler would be left up for a counter.

Nate made his way back up to his feet slowly and cautiously after the Gut-Wrench Powerbomb. For a moment Tyler vanished out of his line of sight and Nate wondered where his wily opponent had gotten to, thinking that he was probably measuring him up for some further offense. As Nate finally got regained his proper vertical base he was alerted somewhat of the impending danger by a sudden crescendo from the crowd...

Turning his head slightly he caught sight of Tyler racing towards him with nothing but bad intentions on his mind. The way he was running triggered alarm bells in his head and reminded him of how Tyler seemed awfully fond of harsh Yakuza kicks, acting largely on instinct the Natural barely managed to side step out of the vicious kick's path and seeing an opening he was now quick to take it.

With the speed that Tyler had been going at when Nate moved out of the way it meant that the Scarecrow had overran, now having his back to the Natural. Thinking quickly, Nate grabbed Tyler and spun him around to face him before trying to deliver a hard kick to the gut. If successful, this would be followed up by Nate attempting one of his own signatures; Natural Selection. So after doubling over his opponent Nate took a half step back to measure him up before jumping up into the air, positioning his right leg above Tyler's head and his left leg slightly bent underneath his chin to hit the Famasser inspired move.

Damn it! Barely missing the connecting of Beyond the Thunder-dome, it was almost demoralizing. "s**t!" he yelled, very audible to anyone in the front row. The sheer force he placed in to this one was liable to take Nate's head off had he not moved, Nate was a very lucky person. Tyler, however was not, as the force had thrown him off balance, which was the backside of using his 'special' variation of the Yakuza kick. As Nate was quite smart, he no doubt had taken the advantage presented to him at this time.

Nate had went to twist Tyler around, and he certainly had no problem as Tyler was already off-balance. Just as quick as he was turned, he felt a kick to his gut, this caused Tyler to wince and bend over slightly. Before he knew it, Tyler had felt the grasp of Nate's legs, only to have his head driven in to the mat.

Almost as if he didn't get effected by it, immediately after the impact, Tyler popped right back up to his feet, seemingly stopping. However, after just a second, he stumbled backwards and out of the ring through the second rope. Landing outside, he seemed to be out of it.

((Sadly I can't say I've really seen many Rock matches. I didn't get into wrestling until about 2001, by which time Rock was long gone I think... Or at least on his way out. I get what you mean though. xD))

Nate landed the Natural Selection perfectly and there was a satisfying crash as Tyler's head impacted against the mat. His expression dropped though when Tyler seemed to get straight back to his feet immediately after being planted with the move and Nate's mouth gaped slightly with incredulity. The smile soon returned though as he watched the Scarecrow stop mid-step before stumbling backwards and tumbling through the second rope to land with a thump on the floor. Looks like Tyler had felt every bit of Natural Selection after all.

He moved over to the ropes and looked down at Tyler, considering going for a slingshot splash or something of the like, but after a moment's thought he decided that he wasn't quite feeling the high-risk high-reward energy just yet. Instead he slid out under the bottom rope and stalked his opponent on foot.

The referee began a ring-out count for both superstars and Nate took heed of the amount of time he had as he attempted to bring Tyler back to his feet before trying to ram him back first against the barricade separating the crowd from the action. WWFG fans roared and people in the front row leaned forwards to get a better look at what was going on, some even reaching out to touch the two superstars so that they would have a story to tell when they went home. Nate posed with both arms raised and called out to the crowd, starting a "Natural! Natural!" chant before continuing his assault by gripping the barricade and attempting to stomp a mudhole into Tyler, aiming mostly for the right knee as he had done when he had blocked Tyler in the turnbuckle earlier on.
