"Well, we've arrived in Sagestone safely and with no incident. We've checked into our room." There wasn't much to report yet. The real mission started in the early morning. Four in the morning early.

"Good." There was an 'auwr' and nails scrabbling on tile from somewhere offscreen; metal clinked against metal and steam hissed. "You understand your orders in full?"

Nyx smiled when she heard what she assumed was Moloch. "Yes, ma'am. Infiltrate the dig site, acquire fossils, do not be found out." They were simple orders. But things were always easy on paper.

"Not to my knowledge, ma'am."
Jen had scooted a bit closer so she was within Nadja's line of sight. She curious about what she was making but bit back the not-so-serious question. This little communication was for mission stuffs, not anything else.
"But..." She paused and thought back to the mission folder she had stolen from Nyx earlier. "Is there a particular fossil we should keep an eye out for? Or is this "grab anything but prehistoric pokemon dung?"
The grunt smirked a bit at the last part. She was sure the guys at the lab would have loved to de-fossilize that.

"Yes, ma'am. Are there any specific things you want us to report about?" It seemed like a silly question, but Nyx had never been on a mission like this.
Nyx was also curious about what Nadja was cooking. The only thing she'd eaten all day had been some sort of trail mix and jerky, so she was very hungry.

There was a pause and a wooden spoon thunked into the pot, and Nadja's voice took on more of the crisp, brisk tone it had in the labs. "Your cavalier attitude concerns me, Jennifer. Overconfidence will be your undoing." The Pokemon dung comment had not gone over well.
"Your briefing contains materials on the Sagestone area, including previously excavated species. There should also be a field guide to common fossils. I suggest you read both thoroughly, exercise your best judgement, and obtain fossils before they come to anyone's attention. And if you notice it, Nicole, report it. Be my eyes."

Jen swallowed nervously but bowed her head in submission to the elite. All she had ment was a joke, not to act over-cocky or whatnot.
Maybe she shouldn't joke to elites during serious tyme no mores.
"I offer my apologizes, Miss. It won't happen-"
"Jolt?"
There was a series of shuffling sounds that shifted into a small snuffling sound right up against the speaker. Don, on the other end, then started pawing at the speaker on the pokedex with puppy-like curiousity.
Was there a human in the tiny box thing?
"Jolt jolt?"
"DON! Down boy!"
The grunt quickly grabbed the electric pokemon away from the pokedex and pushed him back down on the bed pillows.
"Urgh....Again, I apolgize Ma'am." Jen had a sheepish grin on her face with a Jolteon being held down on the bed.

"Yes Ma'am." Luckily, or unfortunately, for Miss Nadja, Nyx had a great memory when it came to taking notes. The only issue she could foresee would be finding opportunities to contact her superior. Nyx felt kind of bad for Jen when Miss Nadja reprimanded her; She had found Jen's comment both amusing and prudent. Depending on the dung fossil, or more accurately what was in it, it could prove somewhat useful.
Maxwell lifted her head from the soft bed and looked irritably at the Jolteon. "Chikaa..." That blue thing was being rude, and making everyone noisy! Didn't they know she was trying to get her beauty sleep?

Nadja's face - and behind her, a comfortable looking set of quarters in warm tones - came into view again on the screen. The elite quirked a slim brow at the.. blue Jolteon; there was a click and the display became uninteresting ceiling again.
"Apologize by showing me you can succeed," she advised Jen as the bubbling died down to a simmer. "If-" There were heavy footsteps, a grunt, and black-striped yellow fur loomed over the 'dex. "-thank you." Another grunt; the figure lumbered away. "If there are no other questions, you're dismissed."

"I do not believe so, ma'am." Don finished his squirming and had moved back to re-capture the z's he had lost on the bed pillow again, completely ignoring Mendels' unhappy protest. She had been re-reading the folder over and over ever since they had arrived at the hotel earlier.
It was interesting, per say.
The grunt cast a glance at her partner to see if she would ask anything.

"Yes Ma'am." Nyx pressed a button and the screen blinked off and she put the pokedex away. "I'll call for some pizza, then we'll get to bed, yeah?" She took a seat at the hotel table, found the number for a pizza place. There wasn't really anything she could think to say to her partner about Miss Nadja. The elite did not seem to appreciate jokes very often. She, at least, had been around her long enough to realize that fact.
"What do you take on your pizza?" It was important that she keep Newton in his pokeball until they went to bed, or else they'd have to order more food than she could afford.

Jen didn't really press the subject on Miss Nadja's words, despite what Nyx was thinking. She would just have to watch what she said about the elites the next time she ran into one.
Thankfully, she could still joke around her best friend.
"Cheese and mushrooms for me." She grinned when Aeon's ears perked up at the mentioning of the pizza topping. The pikachu had developed a taste for it after a while. "And bed sounds good too, considering we have to be early birds tomorrow."

She dialed the number for the pizza place and ordered two pizzas, one with mushroom and cheese and one with anchovies, cheese, and pineapple. It was gross, but she liked it.
About forty-five minutes later, their pizzas came, and Nyx scarfed down hers quickly and got ready for bed. Newton was allowed out of his pokeball after the food was disposed of; He took a spot next to Nyx in the bed, while Mendel laid at her feet.
"Night, Jen." She set the alarm on her pokedex and laid down to sleep.

Pizza was good, greasy and filling; after cleaning up, she and her pokemon were more then content to slide under the covers and let sleep take them.

Sadly though, for Jen's pokemon, the formentioned was someone who usually rolled around in her sleep. Those sleeping with her often became a pokemon pancake in the morning.
And the chosen victim:
"Pikaaaaa....."
A furred yellow body wiggled out from under his trainers', sending the female a sleepy/angry zap of static as he curled up on the spare pillow and glared at her.
Jen was up like a shot, bags under her eyes and hair messy as you please. She was tired but she was up now.
"Im awake...im awake...."
