Nyack licked his paws in worry. It was a bad habit to do so and it made them raw . By the time she'd awoken they were sore but her stirring made him forget. He looked over his ears lifted then went down at the shout. "You...fell so suddenly. I thought you were ill." He answered standing and looking down at her.
He paused a moment and tilted his head. "Oh... oh no worries." He gave a smile and stretched out his hind leg. "I'll take care of everything. Sit tight." He nudged her forehead with his and in a powerful jump which caused his hindleg to slip painfully he landed above her on a hill. "Stay, please?"
With that he was gone his limping gait forgotten. He was on a mission. He had a purpose. His feet landed on the ground with powerful and decisive strikes.
It didn't take long for the older male to come back with a carcass dangling from his jaws. He had a few new wounds on him, from hooves it looked, but nothing that kept him from dragging it to her with the noble air of a King.

He was worried.. and she huffed and grunted as though she shouldn't be. "I was just hungry~ not ill." She said as a side comment. When he jumped over her- she had gotten to her paws and looked up, padding her tail.. "I can come too~ your hurt!" But he was already gone before she could say anything more.. she felt. Weird.. She found herself staying and sitting... waiting for him?
She only got up to her feet again when she worried over him. He was still limping.. and that made her worry. Ears went back. It looked like.. HE could handle the rough treatment... That even in the stampede.. he was still alive. Unlike her prior girlfriend.. and then her first love. They could.. last beside her. The rainy and stormy clouds of the unlucky followed her every step of the way but still.. he came back. 'If you let it go~ and it comes back ...then.' ...
With the difference of the years in her face.. she had grown up.. and different. A soft smile when he returned as she went to meet him and walked beside him. "More scars?" She asked- trying to make a joke out of it. Pushing his side with her shoulder. He was... strong. Can take it all.. nobility poured out of him.. even SHE could see that. Females that she grew with always thought them and painted them to be horrible beasts.. but he proved different. Looking at how the caress dangled..
Until they came to her little hill under the very brittle tree.. circling then laying down beside it.. "You should try and take care of yourself... or you'll slow me down." Leaning forward and taking apart a leg before placing it between her forearms- then to him. Observing him.. he COULD be her equal... but she didn't want to straight out tell him or he'd put it in her face, or so her brothers joked. So she kept it to herself.. and maybe.. just maybe.. this isn't what it seemed.. Waiting for him to eat before she did.
But to herself... she flushed softly as she looked down to her piece of meat.. something inside.. felt warm. Happy..Well proud that he could wit stand being by her side.. not just to see if that would last..

The sudden affection made Nyack grin a little. He felt goofy but happy at the same time. He gave a shrug and limped to the tree to drop the catch. "Battle wounds is what a ...acquaintance of mine would call them." He watched as she laid down and gave a great yawn before laying as close as he dared beside her. Seeing she was waiting for his cue he took one of the hind legs of the creature toward him. "You don't have to wait. I'm not a pride leader you know. I'm only a body guard. I'm good at that." He said with a distinct nod.
Still he began to eat, every once in a while reaching to clean one of his wounds. "Will you be alright now, Gin?" He paused, "... slow you down? Does that mean you're coming with me?"

"Pride leader? Your in a pride?" She had a piece of meat then lapped it in to her mouth like a soup noodle. Blinking at him. "A body guard whom- is following... me?" She tilted her head then went back in to eating since her stomach still ached and grumbled from time to time. When she was at least done with the leg and moving on to some other piece. She calmed...
Then took in his realization that she was agreeing to something hidden in to her words. "Mmm. Maybe. I have nothing better to do." She chuckled then took in a few good laps of meat and licked off fur, spitting it out and lapping.. Looking up when she sucked in a piece of muscle. "And If I don't- you'll only go looking for me. Right? Usually.. I'd say. If you can beat them try harder." Lifting her head with a soft humble look for once. "I think in this case- if I can't beat yea.. I might as well join yea." Shrugging. "What- you don't want me to join you?" Giving him a 'I know you do' sorta look. As if he couldn't live without her... which could be so. But he followed and followed and she was done fighting now.. and plus. She felt herself.. being more excited to see who nyack really was..
"So.. I guess I should get to know you better. What pride did you reign from?"

He hesitated slightly. "No... not really... Its a collection of animals. We're not all lions... in fact I'm the only lion. We're lead by a cheetah. His name is Taban. I'm his roar!" He seemed extremely proud of this fact lifting up his head with pride.
"Well unless you tell me not to... No! No! I'd love for you to join the taction! We're devoted to being peace keepers between prides! Its the best. You can go as far away as you want so long as we maintain contact with each other every once in a while." He responded quickly and assuredly. He did want her to go with him. A lot in fact.
There is smile hesitated and fell. "... I don't want to talk about it. I wasn't really meant for that pride. You know... red manes and mine..." He gave a slight shrug. "Green as the grass. Besides, I was the youngest son. No real place for me in the pride. Old news. I left when I was a adolescent."

She leaned forward and gave him the 'whut' kinda face."Wait. So you are- or are not in a pride. First you say there are no lions but yourself- then you say you left because of your green mane." She huffed. "Id say fight them. My old pride was the same. Dark pelted lions were titled as slave soldiers." She hissed and the anger showed in her face. ".....You shouldn't let that pull you down... You had to show them better than that." Nodding. Then her ears went up when he was speaking of her going with him. "I thought you said you weren't in a pride. Arg your confusing me.. make up your mind lion." She hissed.
Sighing. "I haven't quite met a cheetah.." She thought and looked down to her food. Biting at it. "I don't think I know what one is." She huffed. "How do you get along with other animals without competing against each other." He didn't really give the distinct difference. First he said it was a collection then he said he didn't like only lion pride. She was sorta confused and didn't quite follow. Eating while she looked at him so he knew she was listening..
Finally she became tolerable. "One must earn respect...and be worthy of it for me to completely follow. Like Queen Hippy. She fought to bring her pride back to peace. She is an idol for us all.. She was strong willed. She was still one of us." Nodding.

"It isn't a real pride. There are no lions. There's a hyena... a few actually, cheetahs, and a wild dog. Its... a pride of our own type." He responded. "My old pride I was born from didn't like my mane so I left. Besides, I didn't want to show up my brothers." He gave a slight smile. "They were far more fitted into the pride."
He licked at his paw slightly. "Why would I compete with them? We all work as a unit. A cheetah is a very weak animal in strength but his speed is immeasurable. So his his heart. He has more will then any I've ever met and he is smart. He can figure out any problem. He got the Goddess of the Wind three times and has sired her cubs."
He smiled. "Taban is a lion in spirit but a cheetah in body. You will like him."

She thought over what he was saying. Ok. So they were two separate prides.. Per say. But this mix of animals was different and she couldn't just dive in but with Nyack- her leaving wouldn't be that much of a surprise if anything. But how he talked about it.. it accepted anyone. Even .... she looked down. She changed.. right? She needed purpose and she heard the words of her old pride. Of Karma and coming back ten fold. She thought she would rot in karma.. and thus why she brought upon many deaths or so she thought.
"Each have purpose." She said blankly .. then looked to him. With a soft smile... but it looked rather awkward.. as if she never smiled before. "A goddess?" She questioned. All this about gods she was always iffy about. She didn't believe in them.. not much. Her pride did and was even rumored to have cubs of gods hidden within the pride's clutches..
"It sounds unique." Nodding softly as she went down and pierced the meat more and until she was finished with that one and was quickly moving on to the next part adjacent to him. Pulling and taring as she took in her fill and once she was about half way through that piece- stomaches and insides.. She stopped. Laid down on her side and started to groom.. for the first time in a while. She usually just let herself be dirty and bloodly.. "If you talk so highly of him. I think I just may. For he is apart of you~ if you are his roar." Pawing at her face and making her fur stick up then look slightly messy.
Her usual. "Siring cubs of a goddess.. siring cubs at all. Sounds like they are the highly cared for. If they are from a goddess. Perhaps. Lucky that~ a cheetah could catch her." Waving her tail softly- flopping. "Lion- you know very little of me, but I know you know enough that... to not be surprised if I leave again. You ...know that much right?"

"Yes, everyone has a purpose. We do what is right." He glanced down at her, his tail flickering back and forth. "It is very unique."
He gave her a wide grin in return to the smile. "Yes, I am very much apart of him and he is me. We are brothers in arms and in pride. I really enjoy his company. We are... best friends you could say. I like to think so. But he is my leader above all."
He gave a small frown. "... I know that. If you choose to leave then I won't stop you unless you want me to. I just hope you give us a chance first. They will gladly accept you. We do not judge others because of their pasts."

"I suppose so." Shaking her head slightly. "It will help my Karma.. so maybe I'll stick around." Getting her head up to level before shaking herself out. Only to lay back down.. Pondering leaving if her karma had gotten to the level of forgiveness.. "As if that stopped you before. I told you to roll and die yet you have followed me this long and out. Unless you don't to follow after a while. It does get boring." Shrugging and closing her eyes.. with the fact she hadn't seen any hyenas around she was confident in sleeping anywhere in her territory but soon.. There will be no more territory. It will be off to pride with her.. again. Third time must be the charm.
"When do you want us to head out." Not talking over if she would go or not~ if she would give THEM a chance.. she let destiny decide that. "If its early I'd like to sleep now. Or maybe in a few days. Your choice." Opening one eye to look at him. Padding her tail.

The lion gave a soft smile. He was happy she was going to come and meet his family. It meant a lot to him. "I would follow you if you wanted me to. Which I am happy to think you did."
He gave a massive yawn showing off his powerful jaws. "Mm. We may leave in the morning. They do not live far from here. I'm sure Bei Fang would like to meet you." He put his head down so he was just barely touching her foreleg with his nose. "We will sleep now and then we will go home."

Closing her eyes when he gave that yawn. He was more.. now of an equal than he had been in the past. "Great." She commented right after saying going in the morning. She would have to say good bye to this land.. "Bei Fang? Sounds... different." Licking her mussel and grumbling softly about saying goodbyes. That didn't seem right.. but for - what?
"Home?" She whispered in a breath but soon calmed herself. If that was what her future will bring. A home. To place to build her karma up.. then she will call it that. "I hope they don't run me out." Slitting her eyes to stare at him for a while before sleeping.. tomorrow. Would start her new life.. and purpose.
