His tail thumped a couple times, and he smiled softly at her as he crept forward, moving with tenderness as though terrified of crushing the little ones with the mere tremors of his pawsteps. He quietly circled around her, pressing the warmth of his body against her, and rested his head across her shoulders, peering down at the puppies.
He wanted so very much to tell Seraphin he loved her, but he couldn't, because he wasn't sure what that even meant. He felt something for her, certainly. Something like he had never felt before...different than how he felt for anyone in his family, of course, and different from how he felt for Tui. But he wasn't sure if it was love, and certainly wasn't sure if she would understand if he said anything at all, so he kept quiet.
Perhaps she could draw comfort from his well-known stoicism. It seemed safer than anything he could say.

She watched as Iosef moved towards her, glad that he had accepted her request so willingly. With his soft, silky and warm body against her Seraphin could relax. Nuzzling him softly he laid his head on her shoulder Seraphin looked once more at their pups. They were all so lovely and perfect she never wanted to look away from them. But she would, eventually, as sleep was pulling at her now, yet she fought it, if only for a little bit longer. Lowering her head down so that it rested on her paws Seraphin sighed, but contently.
With pups nursing and Iosef pressed against her other side Seraphin was probably the happiest wolf in the world right now. Later, when she was felling rested they would inform the Queen of the newest arrivals to the pack, but for now the family would remain together.
