Or tried to fix it. "Y-Yeah, of course" said the young mother quickly as well. Really? What else could he have meant? Much more, but Ellie didn't think of it like that, not right now anyways. Then... why did her heart speed up for a half-second before he said those last words? Well, back on the topic before anything else confused them. "I'm sure Blaire would be thankful for that too. Just remember I don't want to impose." Yeah... she'd rather spend time with him and be busy, than leave him with her responsibilities and have nothing to do. That little bundle who was still giggling up a storm.

Yoakim gently pet the little girls head. That's how you were supose to do it, right? Like if she was a bunny? Well, that was just how he knew how to do it and the girl never had complained before. "Ellie... how many time have I told you that you never impose? You're my friend. That's what friends do. They help each other. Yeah... that's what friends did... normal... boring... friends. By that time, he had stopped rubbing the girls hair. his hand was just staying there, doing nothing. He was too too busy staring at the mother to think about Rune, for now. "You need to take some time for yourself... If I wasn't the one being the babysitter, I would take you out"

The young mother smiled at him. "Well... why not then? My mom does want her granddaughter to visit her soon. We could so something" offered Ellie before she chuckled. "Then again... Kade won't let me borrow you for a day just like that." It was an interesting thought... Kade would probably tag along wherever they went, considering how much he adored Yoakim, but she didn't really mind. Rune, unlike her mother, had felt the hand stay still, which she replied to by moving her hand to her head, stopping on top of Yoakim's, only to let out another giggle.

Yoakim looked over at Rune was was being all pretty when she put her hand over his own. He replied to that by putting his other hand over Rune's, making it a pyramid of hands! "That would be good... And you are right.. I doubt he'd let you borrow me... unless you are willing to exchange Rune's hair for me" He said laughing without moving his eyes from the little girl. "You know... I've never meet your parents... are you too ashame of me for that?" This time, he wasn't trying to guilttrip her or anything. It was just a simple question hidden under a bit of teasing. In the last two years, he had meet most of her family, with the exception of her parents. Even her redhaired sister (who he was sure was an adopted sibling) and him had met once.

Rune stretched her other arm to put it over Yoakim's second hand, making the pyramid bigger and giggling even more. Ellie however shook her head at... well both he said. "...That's... That's a tough one Yoakim. He'd say yes but-but-but..." She was very reluctant. VERY. "Ashamed? No! I just... I care too much for you" answered the girl. Sure she was exaggerating... but ever since Rune was on her way to be born, her father had been very protective of the girl. Considering he had shot one of Cassie's old boyfriends before... she really was worried her dad would do something. "Mom would probably snuggle you to death. Now dad..." Well she let him guess.

Not having anymore hands to put over Rune's head, Yoakim opt for the next best thing, his own head. He placed his head over the little pyramid. That should be the best top piece ever! "Ah yes... dad..." He did got some old girlfriend's father to kick his a** once or twice when he was younger. But then again, he never had been the best boy around the corner and pretty much asked for it every time it had happen.... oh... especially that one time... He laugh a little, remembering what had happen before returning his attention on Ellie. "I could always try to convince Kade not to come.. would be hard but... I can try. Or we can do something while he is working? Just something simeple. Going out to eat, you know? just... just to take you out of the house."

She was still sitting on the sand, so she lowered herself to lay down, glancing up at the now towering Yoakim, who was now being cute along with Rune. The little girl couldn't help but giggle once more. "Dad" repeated Rune, whether it was to what they were talking about or for some other reason, it'd be unknown to both young adults. Still, she said it softly, so technically only Yoakim would hear her, since he was above her head. "What is it with you two? Obsessed with getting me out of the house" she was partly joking, though curious enough.

What was it with him wanting to get her of the house? Well, so he could be all lone with her, talking, holding hands, cuddling, kissing, giving Rune a baby brother.... Did he really just thought about that? His cheek imediatly turned to red from his own line of thoughts. Really Yoakim! Get a hold of yourself... She's your friend, she always was your friend and she'll never be more than a friend. And not that kind of friends either.... Uh? Did Rune just say somethign? He picked up the little girl and brought her into his arms. "You wanna see mommy's daddy? Wanna see Granpa? See Ellie, even your daughter is cooperating. She just said she wanted to go see your dad. Of course, Yoakim was too oblivous to basicly anything relationship wise to know what else the little girl could have wanted. It's not like she, perhaps, just called him her dad. That thought never even crossed his mind.

Rune was always helpful when it came to convincing her mother. Like now. "She did huh?" replied the mother with a smile. "All right then, I'll give them a call today." Just look at those two. Rune was happily reaching at the man's chest, just trying to touch him. Ellie knew she was really lucky to have him there for her, especially for Rune. "...What about tonight? It's late, you gotta be hungry" offered the girl, come to think of it, it was almost sunset so, dinner time was up and Rune would be hungry soon enough. She could make something, and it was just friends eating right?

Yoakim walked closer to the young mother and gave her Rune back. It was time to return to mommy! The blacksmith then laugh a bit looking at the girl with a "are you serious" look on his face. "Ellie... You know me. I can't say no too food... but... Uh... I don't want to be rude but.. I doubt you have enough in your whole house to feed me...." It was true. The blacksmith stomach was like a bottomless pit. A black hole sending the food in a forsaken universe of something. It was the same for his grandfather as well as his brother. Well, as far as he knew. He hadn't seen Keith since he was twelve. They did spoke on the phone every now and then... well, okay. He had a call on his birthday and sometime when something was really wrong in the boy's life, like when their apartment went up in flame. The details about that were suspicious at best and he was sure his brother and that other boy...Conor something, were for something in it.
"I'll be happy to go take a snack at your house, however."

Ellie sat up and took her daughter in her arms, sitting her in her lap. It didn't take long for the girl's mind to focus on the sand again and start to play with it once more. Ellie watched the girl for a moment before looking up at Yoakim, only to let out another laugh. "True. I guess a snack will do for now" agreed the woman with a nod. Ellie had seen that once... all the food needed to feed this guy. Two words. HOLY HELL. She didn't even eat a corner-a-a-well seven spoons of what he ate! More importantly how could he be so skinny!? Well he was fine actually, but compared to what he ate? She guessed it was those mysteries of the world no one would figure out.

Yoakim really didn't know what else to say that that part of the conversation. He never had been one for social meeting and talking and all those things. Being with Kade for more than a year had made him more capable with his social skills, but he still had trouble to find things to say with people. It was a bit easier with Ellie, sure, but there was always that one point in the conversation where everything ran dried. Now was that point. He tried to find something else to say but... ended up simply looking toward the right corner of his eyes and making a weird twisted smile followed by a smack of his lip letting a loud "Pop" come out. Yeah... he didn't knew at all what to say.

Ellie stood little Rune in front of her, before standing herself and brushing the sand off her daughter. Once Rune was sand free, Ellie did the same to her skirt and her leggings. Damn black things got sand stuck easily to them. She glanced up at Yoakim, who was now quiet and chuckled. It happened every so often and she had grown used to it, then again, silence was something she preferred. The white haired girl shoved the man playfully to get his attention. But before she managed to make a remark she felt the first drops of rain water fall on her face. "Ah... Darn it" mumbled the young mother. She couldn't let Rune get sick from the rain. While looking through her bag Ellie realized she didn't bring an umbrella. Improvising was needed. Well, at least she brought the infant's jacket, that would keep her warm and dry. The mother not so much. Without much ado, Ellie got to to her daughter's eye-level and fumbled with the giggling girl to put on her jacket and hoodie before picking her up once more in her arms. "We better get back before it get worse-" And so it did, not that much, but more than an innocent drizzle. "Never mind, just move!" said Ellie, with a slight smile. Sure she was risking it, but it was kind of funny, well to her anyways, even if she was now moving fast to get out of the rain.

It was then that he noticed that the mother's attention wasn't on him anymore, but on the sky. He raised his eyes to the sky to see just what was distracting her, when something wet touched his forehead. Ah... Seems like those clouds weren't just there for show. Yoakim didn't wait longer to grab the still giggling Rune under his arms and run with Ellie toward her house. He didn't mind the rain. In fact, he loved to be under it. he just couldn't bear the thought of seeing one of those two getting sick because they have been stuck outside while getting a cold shower. Thankfully, the woman's house was fairly close to the beach. At least, closer than the blacksmith's.

He was sitting on the sand, staring out into the beach. He was mostly alone; the bodyguards were watching from hidden places. Gino had a towel, which he was sitting on, and a cooler, which was filled with sodas and ice. He didn't know what to do at the beach! So he made sure to bring sodas, since he enjoyed his fizzy soft drinks.
The boy was awfully nervous, friendly get together or not; he would be seeing a pretty girl in a skanky bikini! Because girls all wore skanky bikinis! He was wearing his swimming trunks, white sneakers, and a gray hoodie; with nothing under the hoodie, and no socks on. This was appropriate beach wear right? Maybe he should have bought a speedo...
