English: 1-Subject 2-verb 3-object
But japanese is... "1-subject 2-object 3-verb"
The word "desu"
(pronounced "des" with a short-E because you drop the U sounds)
Is used for the verbs "am", "is", "are" regardless of the subject.
Saying "desu, desu" would be like saying "true, true", in responce to someones statement to agree with them.
