I'm thinking, it's the fact that Shander's trying to deny he's gay, that kind of think I think doesn't sit well with Ryu

Well, ryu lived his teenage life under an abusive father because he was gay; he fought hard to be proud of who he is and live life out of the closet without being afraid.
