On-topic, ZUN implied that Yuugi was based on a certain lively Joestar, not DIO. Sakuya was obviously DIO resemblance to begin with~
So yeah, confused with opening post grammar/meaning.

To be honest, I'm more surprised that people cling to this parallel more than any of the others. Zun is a fan, certainly, but he's incorporated elements from other series into the Touhou cast. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure was a lovely series and all, but...Really.
On a related note, I'd post around here more often, but the fanon really does detract me from getting involved in any fandom communities.

People in this, and a lot of other communities tend to enjoy destroying the characters they like by pushing their traits to ridiculous limits. Alice, Marisa, Yuyuko, Reimu, Yukari, Remilia, Reisen, and Aiya are only a few of the most prime examples of fanon's horrible abuses. It's pretty commonplace, and it's worse thanks to Zun's open door policies. It tends to detract me from getting involved with the Touhou community, along with the elitist elements of Danmaku gaming...Not to say that's not elsewhere, it is. Of course, I'm speaking specifically on the matter to make it clearer.
I love the games, I just...really don't like the fandom. It's the case with a lot of things, but that's just me. For the sake of this thread, though, I wouldn't mind continuing this elsewhere if that's alright. Name a place?

This place is nothing compared to YouTube comments or Facebook fan pages. I can tolerate the fanon's "retarded" interpretations of the characters as long as they acknowledge that those characters have rather different, official depictions, and that the fan-made interpretations are never more important than what the official sources say. Which, however, is something than most of the time doesn't happen. Oh, another thing: I dislike the fanon, but I hate the elitists even more. Mostly because half of them are poseurs who don't know as much about Touhou as they claim to know, and because they are always the first ones to make retarded interpretations. For instance, just look at the Touhou Wiki's discussion page on Kasen Ibara. Only one chapter of WaHH has come out, yet they're talking like if Kasen being an oni and a Deva was a confirmed thing. Oh, yes. I know that Youtube is the worst place to take anything into account, but even Gaia has its cases. Typically speaking, though, it's the more fanon-popular characters that you see fifteen accounts for wandering about Towns or otherp laces and making a general mess of their interpretations of the characters. I typically take Tohopedia with a grain of salt, anyway, though they do have good standards of keeping the memes and guessing off their pages.
Facebook...? Oh, sweet mother of the Buddha. Is is like Myspace RP? If so....Eeeeeeeck. If it's not that, it's the gaming elitism that throws me waaay off. People bragging about scores and taunting others for not being able to do the same, insisting that one character is the only 'real' way to beat the game on any difficulty, claiming that anyone who can't do as well isn't a 'real' Danmaku gamer. It's all migraine-inducing stupidity that makes me horribly shy of joining any communities for games in general, much less difficult games like Danmaku shooters. Things like that bother me a lot.

Well, I'd really like to stick this on topic, but oh well, if you don't want it then go ahead an post it off topic. It's not my fault that ZUN wants to be putting the other 2 intertwined. I mean, touhou and JJBA are just easy to counter, and majority of the characters in JJBA has alot to do with the fact that made the Touhou Series as awesome as it is (I know, guilt trip)

Polnareff is the musclehead, easily-tricked, comedy relief character. He's basically the "hotheaded hero" type, and surprisingly reliable in a fight. I don't really do Starbucks, though I've heard quite a bit about it.

Well, anyway, I go there just because I like Green Tea Frappuchino with Caramel on the whip, and usually combo it with crispy treats, but anyway, what happened was there was a guy that came in the store. Completely drunk, and naked. The everyone went like, eew, and the manager started talking to the drunk person. The drunk person then tried to scuffle outside because he was being kicked out, and at the end he slammed the window sill and got knocked out. Guess who had to drag the body out?
The manager.
Because all my toys are ruined... And you're the only person I see here fit...
