Kiiato

((sorry, went and hopped in the shower ^^; ))

Kiiato smiled warmly seeing a familiar face.

"Hello Foenix! It's great to see you also! How have you been?" Her eyes lit up as she glanced over at Nehanda. "You have a gryphon?" She wondered if she was the only one still with a jar. "What's it's name?"

Still slightly out of breath from running through town, Kiiato walked over and sat on a chair across the two pulling out her jar. She wiped the water off of it, and then placed it on the chair next to her, momentairly forgetting about the others as she gazed at the soft blue light the artifacts were emitting.

((Yeah, I admit that i also wandered off for a bit. And now I really have to go run some errands. Hopefully we'll be able to RP a bit later.))

Foenix smiled as Kiiato held up her jar. "They glow with such a lovely light, don't they?" She held up a hand and carressed Nehanda's soft feathers. "Nehanda here actually evolved only a few hours ago. It was so exciting!"

She checked her watch and rose, closing her book and placing it back in the carry-sak. She carefully picked up all of the pieces of the jar which had held her artifacts, and wrapped them in the large handkerchief she had used to swaddle the jar when whole. She placed that as well into the bag.

"I'm afraid I've got to run. It's my husband's 30th birthday, andi'm heading back to the mainland. My boat leaves in an hour, and I need torun home for some things. I hope I'll see you later, though!"

She waved to the other guardian, and, opening her umbrella, stepped out into the rain once more. Nehanda flutered a bit to keep her balance on Foenix's shoulder, staring out in fascination at the water pouring from the sky.

(( okay, I just left for a while ^^; ))

Entering back into reality, Kiiato looked over at Foenix and Nehanda. "Only a few hours? I wish I could have seen it..."

Kiiato nodded as Foenix explained she had to leave. "I should be leaving also, I need to make dinner." Kiiato waved goodbye to the others, "See you later!"

She stood there for a few moments, thinking about all that has happened in the past few days. Kiiato smiled, before dashing back outside into the rain.

It was still pouring outside, and even though the centre was only a short jog from Rahujo's forge, she was still soaked. She stood in the centre's little porch and shook the water from her wings and hair, sending a spray of droplets flying in all directions.

Having dried off slightly, Rahujo wandered into the centre, in search of Alyosha. She needed to restock her first-aid kit, after having given a couple of bandages and a bottle of healing salve to Dragonfly. She was also in need of a few assorted items for use around the forge, and her little box of tea leaves was running alarmingly low.

The main room of the centre was empty. Rahujo padded quietly round the perimeter of the room, heading for the corridor leading to Alyosha's apartments on the other side. Wandering to the end of the corridor, she knocked gently at the door.

"Alyosha? You home?"

As gloomy as the day has been, Fae decided that spending her day walking around the community wasn't the best idea. Nope, even in the later evenings were a few showers here and there, but Fae hadn't planned on staying indoors the entire time either! So off to the Centre to gather some notes!

Fae carried her now single jar inside with her along with her research note book and sketch pad- just incase. She opened the door and walked inside the nearly empty building. She wondered where everyone was. She begun to explore the building for an hour before she finally found the hall near the entry way with colorful diagrams. She pulled out her notebook and begun to takea few notes.

((3dit: oops! Didnt see you there Rah. ^^; I'll just pretend you snookupon me or something =P ))

Kiiato rushed inside the Community Centre and slammed the door shut. When she had left, the rain had momentairly stopped, but of course, right in the middle of her stroll, the rain came. The community Centre was the closest shelter, so she ran to seek refuge there.

Unaware of the woman in the building, Kiiato walked forward, more concerned about her wet clothes than where she was going. Suddenly, there was a loud thud, and Kiiato was now on the ground. She had walked straight into the other woman.

Fae was obsering and writting, but mostly reading. Reading things she didn't know, andre-reading things she did know to check her facts. She heard a few sounds of people walking around and turned. Before she could blinked, some girl came slipping her way and whamed right into her! Her bag went flying as so did her notebook, everything landing on its back including her own.

Fae twitched on the ground, more in a state of shock than anything. Sitting up, she looked tothe source of the impact and rubbed her head. "Waaaii? Oh. Uh..." She blinked. "Are you okay?" She asked, disreguarding her own injurgy. Shequickly felt her side and noticed her jar had fallen inside her bag and flailed. "Pueblo!" She dived for her bag and made sure nothing had broken. Fae adjusted her glasses back onto her nose ((yes...she has been wearing glasses the whole time. <.<)) and scooped her belongings back up.

Kiiato blinked and looked up. "Oh, I am sooo sorry! I'm so clumsy! I wasn't looking where I was going, are you alright?"

She immediately began to help the woman pick up her belongings. Noticing the jar, Kiiato smiled, "You're a guardian?"

Once all the items were gathered, she stood up and offered Fae a hand to help her up. "I'm Kiiato."

Fae smiled. Oh good, they were still both on friendly terms. The last thing she needed was to get on somebodies bad side.

She took Kiiato's hand offer and propped herself up. Fae grinned when Kiiato noticed. "Yep! Her name is Pueblo...my artifacts just joined together today after my house was properly set up," she nodded. She cocked her head, holding her jar now in her hands. "Are you a guardian as well then?" Fae blinked and felta hot tinge in her cheeks. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry! My name is Fae," she quickly recovered.

Kiiato smiled and nodded. "Indeed I am." She reached into her pocked and pulled out the jar with the glowing artifacts, holding it up for Fae to see.

"His name is Keanu, he is a Peregrine falcon/badger and his artifacts were put in the same jar a few days ago." She chuckled when Fae remembered to introduce herself. "I am very pleased to meet you, Fae."

Kiiato wiped some of the water off the jar with her scarf, and then gazed into the blue glow. It seemed every time she looked at the artifacts, she was hypnotized, or it could be just it was so dang pretty. She looked back over to Fae, a warm smile still on her face.

It seemed that here, on the island, Kiiato felt more comfortable. She was not afraid to show more of her true personality to the others, which was very unlike her usual self. Kiiato wasn't sure, maby it was her excitement, or possibly her love for animals. Whatever it was, she didn't mind being open for a change.

((okay, time for bed. We can continue tomorrow as we agreed, F a t e. ^^ ))

Alyosha woke groggily from his desk. He had been in the living room, curled up on one of the rugs, book in hand. Obviously staying up late reading was not the best idea.

Shaking his long black locks out and disentagling them from the rug, he got to his feet and brushed himself down, walking towards the door. "Should have been up hours ago", he chided himself as he opened the door.

"Oh... Rahujo" He grinned and stepped to one side to allow the demure Aerandir into the house. "How can I help you?" It had been a while since he had last seen her.

Foenix stepped into the Center and wiped her feet carefully on the door mat. The rain had finally ceased, leaving muck and puddles all over the island. It had been something of a struggle to keep Nehanda from fluttering off of her shoulder to "investigate" the wet mess.

"At some point, you and i will go to the beach. I wonder what you'll think of salt water." Foenix leaned her umbrella against the wall and flopped onto a chair. "Story?"

Nehanda merped and hopped down onto the chair arm.

"Story it is. I don't need a book for this one, though." And Foenix relaxed and began to tell the little gryphon about the legend of Pegasus.

(( Demure? *blink* ))

Rahujo had just raised her hand to knock on the door again, when it opened, revealing a slightly rumpled-looking figure.

"Good morning, Alyosha." Rahujo nodded a greeting to the sleepy-looking administrator. "When are you next heading for the mainland? My forge finds itself in need of supplies..."

Foenix had reached the description of the chimera when she heard voices from down the hall. Standing, she followed the noise. Weren't Alyosha's rooms down this hallway?

Turning a corner, she came to a halt. Standing outside of he suite was a tall, beautiful aerandir. At least, Foenix assumed that was what she was. Not wanting to interrupt, she quietly started to turn around.

Nehanda, however, had other ideas. Taking off from Foenix's shoulder, she flew clumsily toward Alyosha and the Aerandir.

Hearing the sound of light footsteps and then fluttering wings from behind her, Rahujo turned to see an unfamiliar person at the end of the corridor, and a small shape bobbing rapidly through the air towards her at head-height. She stepped back reflexively, through Alyosha's doorway, and nearly tripped over Alyosha, grabbing a doorpost to save herself at the last moment.

In the dark corridor she couldn't quite make out the details of the flying object, but from the wings it had to be a gryphon, although it didn't look like one she'd seen before.
