One day Angel had taken Kirei to the recreation center, to play in the pool.
Kirei was a natural swimmer it seemed. Alot of people at the place gave the blue child odd looks, but none had the guts to actually say anything; after all, the child was so nice, even if she did look different.
Angel had wondered about this for a while, but as long as nothing went wrong, she was happy.
They stayed till lunch, and Angel had a hard time convincing Kirei to leave, but eventually they did, after some bribing!

Time was passing by quickly,...school was almost over and done with for Angel, and Kirei was growing -- Maturing.
One day the lovely blue girl walked in, and the time that had passed by hit her full force. The white dress that Kirei wore framed a shapening form, and Angel couldn't help but smile,
"'ello there, Kirei" Angel greeted.
"Hi!" She said with a bright smile and an exagerted wave. SHe was a happy girl, And angel was now more of a friend then mother figure to her. Same with Saisei. Angel was letting her do more alone now,...and she was glad, but also sorta scared. She still needed Angel.
"What'cha up to?" Angel asked.
"Not much. She shrugged, "may I go to the park today?" SHe asked tilting her head to the side. SHe got to go alone now,...and it was quite fun. She didn't have to worry about Angel worrying.
"Sure thing. Be back by twelve!"...."PM!"
Kirei laughed, "Sure! WOuldn't wanna miss lunch!" She patted her stomache
"Exactly! Be careful!" Angel waved.
"Always!" Kirei shouted back as she went out the door.

It was a really warm spring day,...aroind the mid 80's. Too hot for Kirei's taste. Angel was out, and Kirei was in the house alone. She cranked up the AC, and found things to enjoy inside, where it was cool. She really liked the cooler weather.
Angel came back from her trip. Entering the house, she could almost feel her sweat freeze over, "brrr,..." She hugged her arms, and went over to check the thermastat, "FOURTY! WHAT THE HE--CK!?"
With her exclamation, Kirei came down the stares, just as Angel turned it back up to a confortable 60.
"Hey, mama!" Kirei greeted, coming down the stairs, long white dress flowing.
"Mhat were you thinking turning the AC to FOURTY!?" Angel asked the realatively petite girl.
"I was hot,..I turned it on so I'd be confortable." She shrugged. Not bothered by Angel's cold welcome.
"Just turn on the fan in my room and close the curtain next time,..I'm FREEZING,..." Angel said walking into the kitchen to grab something to eat.
"oh,...yeah, didn't think of that!" She said, following Angel into the kitchen, and plopping down at the table, "So, what did ya do when you went out?" Kirei asked curiously.
"That,..really isn't any of your business,..." Angel said with a blush. Kirei was too innocent to understand what had conspired while Angel was away,...
"awww,..not fair, I tell you everything I dooo!" Kirei whined, " Like dressing up Peanut!" She helled up the brown cat out of nowhere it seemed to show angel what she had done.
The poor kitty was dressed in a blue tutu,...

Kirei walked down the sidewalk, a light blue parason in her hands, shading her from the rather hot spring sun. Her blue eyes watched the birds, and she smiled. She liked traveling the streets alone; watching the cars, birds, squirrels, and people. Sure, she got some odd looks from time to time, but eventually she became well known in town, and such things didnn't bother people anymore. She was glad.
Kirei sat on a bench beside the sidewalk to rest. She had been out all afternoon, enjoying the day as it began to cool. From where she sat, she could see the park across the road, and the sun as it sat between the trees. Things were lovely. Angel would be walking home soon, though, and then Kirei would have to get up to continue the walk home with her. Lately Angel and her friend Serina had been talking alot. Serina was a bit bigger than Angel, and blonde, but was just as nice, and they all got along pretty well.
Serina had fallen in love with the boy that had moved in next door, and they both hit it off great! A month later though, Kirei overheard Angel and Serina talking about the heavier blonde being pregnate. For some reason this had Serina all worried. Angel and Kirei were doing thier best to support the teen, for better, or worse.
Serina wasn't going to get rid of the baby if infact she was pregnate. The entire trio agreed that that was just wrong in thier eyes, however Serina sked them to pray for her that she wasn't, and Kirei did so every night. She knew Angel kinda wanted Serina to have a baby, more than she didn't. She knew either way she would be happy.
Kirei thought over the small little dramas in Angels life that seemed so small to her, and she shrugged with a sigh.
"I guess I'll never figure these people out,..."

It was a releif to Kirei, a few days later, to find out that Serina wasn't going to have a baby. Angel too was kinda glad; after all, Serina still had her teenhood in fron of her!!!
It was the weekend, finally, and Kirei sat on the couch of her home, waiting for Angel to finish getting ready to go to the zoo. This would be Kirei's first time, and she was excited! She could hardly sit still,...she wanted to see the pretty tigers and zebras!
Angel finally made her way down the stairs, and Kirei emidiately jumped up, "Yay! It's about time you got done! now let's GOOOOO!" She said, and practically ran to the door. Angel chuchkled,
"okay, okay! Keep your shorts on, girly!" She picked up her purse and keys, "we gotta pick up Serina and James first!"
James was Serina's boyfriend -- Angel and Saisei had broken up a while back,....a conflict that kirei would rather not think about at the moment. Kirei chuckled, and a sweatdrop formed above her head, "oh! alright! well let's go!" He bounced up and down.
"alright, alright, to the car with you!" She said jokeingly, as she flung the door open. Kirei ran out the door and was buckled in the car within mere second!
This would be quite and amusing trip!

The trip to the zoo was quite exciting for the teenage Hououza. So many animals, and such pretty habitats built for them!
The sights awed Kirei. There were so many pretty animals,..even the snakes in the indoor exhibit. A bit of the bottom of her long white dress had gotten chewed on by the goats in the petting area, which upset Kirei a little, but she soon forgave the little kid.
The poor girl,..she fell asleep on the ride home, after so much excitement, cuddleing a snow leapard plushie she had bought at the giftshop.
Angel chuckled, looking over to the girl, curled up in the passenger seat. Despite it only being the two of them, they had still had fun!!
Serina and James weren't able to acompany them,...and Angel was slightly worried. When asked why, they had avoided the answer,....
Even Kirei was worried.
'I hope it doesn't have anything to do with Samantha and Josh,...' Angel thought, as she took the detour off the interstate, to go stop by thier friend's house. Neither of them would be able to get thier minds off of it once they were home, unless they stopped by to check on things.

The two reached the home of Serina. Kirei drowsily got out of the car, and they headed up to the house. They were greeted by Serina's grandmother.
After pleasantries had been exchanged, Angel decided to get down to buisiness, and headed straight for Serina's room.
"Serina, it's Ang and Rei here,.." Angel said, standing at the door.
The two of them could here rusteling of papers, before a blonde head peeked out the door.
"what're yall doin' here?" Serina asked.
"We were worried,...when yall said you all couldn't come, and never gave me an answer." Serena got a guilty look on her face.
"It's not about Samantha,...is it?" Kirei asked.
Serina looked to the floor, then opened her bedroom door wider to let the two in.
"it's Samantha and Josh, actually,..." Serena went over to her bed to sit dowm where kirei set beside her, "What's wrong now?"
Serena looked at both Kirei and Angel in the eyes with a sad look, "He has been,...getting worse,...to Samantha. And he attacked James last night,..."
