Only half surprised at his denial of the honorific, she nodded, and said no more on the topic. He seemed far too nice to be a royal, she thought, bemused. Although there were some kind royals, he seemed too...down to earth to be one of them. She wasn't sure why but he just did.
His last words were a surprise however and she blinked, glancing at him as he stared down at the ground. See her? See who? She frowned a little and stepped closer, sensing that perhaps he might do with some comfort.
“See who - ?” She asked, keeping her voice gentle, like she did after one of her cubs couldn't sleep or woke up afraid of their dreams. She wanted to comfort him, soothe away that downturned face and make him smile and laugh like earlier, but she didn't know how to. Goodness, she didn't even know his name and yet she wanted to help him somehow. She stood, keeping her face smoothed out in a pleasant look, offering comfort if he sought it, or willing to shrug it off if he did.

In all his travels, Azizi never thought that he’d ever miss home. There were so many reasons as to why he left, he thought that there’d be a day when he’d miss anything from that land. But, now that the images of his mother were flashing through his mind, he realized that most of his frustration and anger towards the Colony came from one male alone, and there really was no reason to stay away like a coward when his parents were probably worried sick.
Blinking a few times, his resolution could almost be seen on his face; his expression was so determined, now that he had cleared everything up within his mind. He had to face him, and that was that. There was no way around it, and even if there was, tension had always been building between the Roi and his beloved Petite Fil. Without any confrontation, there would be no possible way for things to go back to how they used to be.
Looking up, Azizi returned his glance to the female, with a growing smile on his maw. “Ah, I mean, this female sounds quite kind, and it makes this colony of yours sound quite nice. Will you take me there, mademoiselle? And in return, I’ll tell you my name once we get there, yes?"

The male's silence worried Noelani, though she tried not to let it show on her face as he glanced up. Whatever thoughts had plagued him seemed to be pushed aside – or perhaps merely resolved? - and on his face was a growing smile and a look of determination that had not been there before he had lowered his face from her gaze.
She hesitated at his words, and glanced back towards the forest, and back to him. Well, they said she couldn't tell anyone where the colony was...she wouldn't tell him, she'd just...show him. She smiled warmly at him. “Well, if that's what it takes to get your name, I suppose I will have to,” she said lightly. She motioned for him to follow her into the forest, hoping she remembered the right way home. “Stay close,” she suggested, with a slightly playful flutter of her eyes. “I'd hate to lose you now.”
She was pleased that he seemed interested in the colony. She really didn't want to turn away and never see him again, but there was something in his stance that told her there was more to his story than what she knew and she was surprised to find she was excited to find out what that was.

Smiling at her, there was a certain tightness in his chest as he followed her. Part of him was nervous about how his return would be received, but the other nervousness came from the fact that he didn’t want this kind female before him to be angry at him because he lied to her. But at this point, there really was no turning back. It felt pretty right, heading back to the heart of his homeland with a strong and confident resolve.
As the trees around them started to thin, he knew that they were pretty much in the heart of the forest now. But before they reached the heart of the Colony, he wanted her to know, before she was forced to hear it in whispers as they walked through the base of the Colony.
“Mademoiselle, I think....this is far enough.” Smiling at her, he looked a little uneasy as he came to a stop. “I only hope that you’ll still be this kind to me after I tell you my name. It’s been a real...pleasure speaking with you. I don’t think I’d have returned here without your help.” He smiled gently at her, reassured by her past kindness. “If it’s not too bold, I’d like to introduce myself; my name is Amias."
