I just did my first semi-useful thing by being a judge. Woo.
God, I really need to go google on how to be a judge or watch one of those reality Judge shows.

Reality Judge shows are only helpful to a certain extent, and more often than not are NOT run by real court standards. You'd be best googling it.

I had a friend go on one of those reality shows. They aren't anything like real court, the judgement is set up beforehand and is simply done to the best ratings.

On that note, I'd like to say this:
I'm more than ready to accept whatever punishment comes for what I did. However, by no means was it meant to harm the guild. If any of you have any feelings on this that you want me to know, be they good or bad, hostile or friendly, please send me a PM. You all have a right to say what you think about the matter, though to be honest I don't want this guild to revolve around it. That's happened before, and I'd rather keep it to private messages because of the chaos it caused.
If not, then suit yourself.

Hmm. Being the posh bloke I am, I honestly and truly believe this case is pretty much in the bag for Karma. I get arrested a lot so I see a lot of bondsman and lawyers. No offense to Monsieur Gear, but he is using a lot of circular logic. Its a solid tactic, but Karma is right. Solid evidence linking the two isnt there. The way this case is going is (story time children!): Gear is offended that Karma won't worship God, who is a toaster. Karma's defense being " I won't worship the toaster it only makes toast." Even though being a toaster and making toast are the only preresequites to being God. Gear then says "but it toasts bread" which also doesn't work. "It makes toast!" He cries. To no avail. "You know who else didn't worship toaster God? Adolf Hitler". Karma brings up a dislike of toast and toasters. Gear says again " but it makes toast"

Aye, Kain's pretty much got it mapped. However, to quote Nicolas Cage, from "Next," "Every time you look into the future, it changes... because you looked at it." So now, if Gear sees this, there's a fair chance he'll switch up his thinking.

Gear is smart fellow, he would have likely abandoned that method anyway.

The whole prosecution is being made on the grounds that Karma is in league with Suicide, and ultimately, acted to harm the guild. But when you examine the two individual's in comparison, and any accounts that can be linked to them, you see a very different picture.
Typo has never spanned, flamed, or otherwise trashed the League for as long as I can think back, which is as far as the first year you set up this guild to replace the old one. Her one, seemingly, harmful action was erasing the League some time ago, which I firmly believe was for the best of the League (but wasn't utilized to its fullest extent). Even during her erase, she invited every member back she banned, except probably those who had been inactive for, well... ever. Then, after the event, she infiltrated our guild with a mule, and has done nothing but be active and productive where she can be.
Now look at Suicide. He started out cool, and then flipped his lid, trying to erase the League. However, he was stopped, and all ended well. For some time after that, Suicide infiltrated the guild with many different mules, spanned, flamed, trolled, and has otherwise tried to bring the League down. We haven't really seen him since (thank god).
Look at these two examples, based off my experiences with them both, my outside knowledge of the situation, and my history of the League. Do they appear the same? Not even close. The only similarities between them are the multiple accounts, and the event that brought about their undoing. Who they are and how they've acted in the League are practically opposite.
The trial is a waste of time.

Yeah I'm disappointed with the prosecution as well. This really is a joke. All i really wanted was an apology of some kind, but yeah this isn't going there >>

From what I've seen in the few days I've been here, I have to agree that Typo and Suicide aren't the same person or linked. There just aren't enough similarities, and there hasn't been much evidence provided to prove they're connected.

In reference to Mouge, that's coming from a newbie, though a cool one. Consider he's got no experience with this issue, no bias towards either side, and you'll see he's got the truth of it.

I don't appreciate the fact that the name of the trial is called "The people of the Gaian Mercenary League... etc"
I am in no way against Typo. So does that make me NOT a member of the League? Does that make me blasphemous?

It is just like the State of California vs etc or United States vs. etc; It is just a formal way of stating that no individual is bringing this up rather the lawful authority.
