Kaatje rolled her eyes. No way would both of her parents have succumbed to some kind of flu, that just didn't make sense. "No. That was something else, because it was all focused around the Museum of Art, and no one outside a certain radius got it while everyone inside did. The theory was that--hold on." She pulled out her BlackBerry. ******** the senshiphone, or whatever, if it didn't come attached to a data plan who cared? (She would change her tune later, presumably.)
When she got to the article she wanted (bookmarked, because she liked to go back over it) she held it up. "The superflu's the one random people seem to get. They still don't know what's causing it. But the coma thing, everyone got that at the same time and everyone came out of it at the same time. So they figure it was some kind of bioengineered... thing."
She dropped the phone back into her bag. "I'm new at this, not stupid."

"Alright," sighed Tallulah, slouching a bit. The coffee wasn't helping much, she was pretty dead tired. "Sorry, I'm still catching up. Superflu's the starseed stealing, but we can't exactly go to the authorities because they think we're terrorists. We're still figuring out what exactly caused the comas."
Not to mention the whole thing sounded pretty crazy. You were likely to wind up committed if you tried to tell the cops about all this. She rubbed her eyes.
"We'd better get going, huh?" she suggested. "It's pretty late."

She shrugged, finished off her own coffee. "Yeah, it's late and I have a bit to go..." Back up to Crystal--or if she wanted to avoid questions, to her own house. Whichever. But both were a pretty far distance, so she'd have to transform to Sailor Gunn.
The pair of girls proceeded to troop outside to an alleyway, where Kaatje produced her pen and held it overhead. "Gunn Power, Make Up!" Pretty ridiculous, but what followed was completely the opposite; she traced a circle of fire around her, one that miraculously seemed to attract no attention at all even as it snarled higher, completely blocking her from view. And when it faded, there was Sailor Gunn in full regalia, fighting the urge to strike a ridiculous pose.
"A dying ember becomes a raging fire, in the name of Gunn, prepare to get burnt," she grumbled, reluctantly. "Anyway. Seeya, Tallulah." The grace evident in her jump (up to midway up Shufflepuck's wall, kick off to reach the hanging roof of the next building) showed exactly how much time she'd spent practicing it, but there wasn't time for anyone to comment because the soldier of Wildfire was already gone.

Tallulah watched her go before performing her own transformation. Where Gunn went for literal flare, Europa's power up was more understated. It might have involved tentacles, but in this light it was hard to tell.
She was glad to see the other girl didn't need any education in roof jumping like so many senshi just starting out.
"Still waters run deep. In the name of Europa, prepare to be crushed!" she whispered, not having the energy to resist her catchphrase tonight. And then she bounded away home.
