Tylir's ears pricked as the female finally spoke. He stopped in his tracks and peeked back over his shoulder. "Oh.... I'm sorry I thought I was interrupting something... I don't mean to be a bother," he said, rolling a shrug off his shoulders. "Your friend seemed to be trying to tell me something...I don't mean to be rude."

He gave a smile, still trying to read the situation. There was a tension in the air that was palatable, and he was getting a very uneasy feeling about the whole thing. But he could just fly away - he was socially awkward enough without being downright rude.

Cabriole's jaw tightened slightly as her tail flicked against his, the wet barbs of the feathers vane leaving lines of wet fur on his face as he avoided eye contact with the other stallion. He wasn't sure to how to behave, his ears pinned back against his hair and eyes wide as he stared at a glimmer on the waters surface.

He wasn't a coward... However Zahraa' was injured, and the other stallion had the advantage of the open air and wings that had shown their functionality. Cabriole lacked that benefit and no matter what he did, he would be unable to escape in this particular setting. Rationality told him to simply silently give warning signs, show the danger in his body language, and not get involved otherwise. Give the wind a chance to escape without purposely putting his foot in the metaphorical bear trap to disarm it.

It didn't however, make him feel any better about not shouting out, warning the other stallion and telling him to fly, pull up high and fast. It was against his nature to not help those in need, or to be selfish...

But in survival, sacrifice doesn't ensure the safety of others, it may just complicate the matters worse.

The grin that had claimed the harpies pale lips was akin to cat as it stared down a bird. Not a terrible analogy, all things considered. "Bother?" She chirped, friendly. "No bother at all." A shifting of claws let her inch closer to the bank, but she remained on her belly, the cold water lapping over her flanks.

She could feel tension in the male beside her, knew it's source, but paid it little mind. All he had to do was keep his mouth shut. So long as he did that, he'd not earn her anger. He'd done nothing thus far to anger her, it'd be a real shame to change things now.

She gave a tilt of her head, feathered mane fluffing curiously as she watched the wind stallion. Every bit the bird of prey, curious as it watched. "Well that's fancy, isn't it? That thing around your neck." She gave him curiosity in her voice, along with a kind smile. Sweet bait to lure him ever closer.

Tylir turned around, fluffing his wings a bit at the conversation. "Oh this?" he looked down at the scarf hanging from his neck. "This old thing? No, nothing fancy... I guess. Me and my twin sis both got 'em... from our mother, I guess. Never knew her... but the stallions who looked after us said they were with our baskets..."

He chuckled a but under his breath. "Wow, that's a downer story huh? I guess I should learn to just say 'thank you' and move on, huh?"

He shrugged the story off, but the scarf was honestly his most prized possession, though he would never admit it to anyone. He kept it pristine and, despite its age, still was in good shape

Closing his eyes, Cabriole swallowed. He couldn't stand this much longer, "..Zahraa'..?"

He smiled weakly, straining a bit to try and make it look realistic, though it never reached his eyes, "I think I'm going to stretch a bit and graze... I'll.. I'll leave you two to your talk..."

He waited a little bit, making sure she wasn't going to protest, before lifting up and moving slowly back a few steps, so he could take wide circle, pausing slightly as he past Tylir, mouth opening slightly, but voice catching slightly. Meeting Zahraa's eyes, he looked back and smiled weakly again, it not at all reaching his eyes or eyebrows, nor the flattening of his ears, "...its a pleasure to meet you. I'm just feeling a bit off.... Bee stings..."

He trembled slightly, before moving somewhat quickly into the field, choking silently on held back tears. It wasn't so bad for him, he was treated well here...

But he knew it could change so quickly if he turned against her...

The feather maned mare nodded to the wind as he finished his explanation of the scarf. Feigning interest. It had been enlightening though, the item clearly held sentimental value. "Oh no, that's very sweet."

Cabriole's voice to one side drew her attention, and though she turned her head, her eyes never let the wind male. Not that either could really tell with her lack of recognizable pupils. "Grazing?" It took her a second or two to get what he was saying, too lost now in thrill of hunt. "Oh, sure. Don't wander too far though, my sweet." She'd hardly needed add the order, her Honey stallion was so very obedient.

She felt him move, rolling up and away to remove himself from the situation, but her attention had turned back to the winged male in the field. "I've never seen anything like that scarf. Could I get a closer look, maybe?" She leaned forward, eagerly. Shifting her hip so the injury and makeshift bandage were clearly visible. "I'd come to you, but my hip.."

The unease was beginning to set into the stallion as he watched the submissive honey-colored male wandered off to go graze, removing himself in a rather abrupt manner. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was scared of something. Tylir looked around, turning his head and ruffling his feathers again. But his momentary distraction passed as he heard the female's voice again.

He hadn't noticed her injury before, making him a feel a bit sheepish; and it eased his mind a bit. "Oh! Of course..." he tossed his head and caught the end of this scarf. "itfs nofink spessal" he said around his as he stepped towards her.

Ears backing slightly, Cabriole settled down against the forests edge, and began chewing on the leaves, sticks, and nuts of a young, brushlike hazelnut tree, hoping the crunching noises would drown out whatever was going to go down, and the branches block the view of it.

(aaand, until you two are done with your part of the capture Rp, Cab's just gonna be sitting here eating so you can go ahead and post back and forth, just tell me when I can come back in. <3)

A twitch of of pale ear followed the sound of bells and stayed trained upon it. Even just eating, her lovely pet jingled. She doubted he'd make a break for it, but she kept a tiny sliver of her attention on him just in case.

The Majority of her focus was all for the winged stallion wandering closer. The flash of her injury having apparently eased what ever pesky nerves he'd been plagued with. When he got near enough to the bank Zahraa' stood, edging closer herself, but with a notable(though completely exaggerated) limp. "Nonsense, it looks very special."

She waited until he was within a yard of her before making her move. Hopping the slight dip o the sunken back to get closer. Of course that would have brought taloned feet into view, and THAT was sure to refuel whatever nerves in the male she'd managed to soothe with obvious injury and a kind tone. She didn't give him time to react, to retreat. Instead springing forward to aim claws at the long, slender feathers of his left wing, damaging or tearing them out completely. Hopefully stunning him enough for her to dart behind to fire a kick a the other wing, grounding him.

Normally she would have liked to toy with him more, let him dart away now that he was grounded. No one could best on her speed an agility on land or tree save the queen herself. She didn't take the chance today, not with her injury, and instead sprinted around him, snapping at his neck with slightly more pointy teeth then your average mare. She wasn't aiming for -him- though, and when she felt the cotton brush of his scarf along her lips she jerked, drawing it tight around his throat.

"If jou mofe, I will shred jou an this old thing wif one kick." Her words were slightly muffled by the fabric clenched between teeth, but her tone was clear enough. She would hurt him if he resisted.

By the time Tylir even registered that she was attacking him it was too late. He gave a screech of cry - of which was greater the surprise or the pain it was hard to tell. The long flight feathers of his wings were jerked out violently - fluttering uselessly to the ground around him in a dramatic cloud. Regardless he unfurled his wings and tried to flap... the left wing just couldn't get any wind under it and the right wing flapped, pitching him to side and putting it in the perfect position for the mare to kick it. Perhaps not broken, but the hard impact caused another cry of pain for the stallion and he crumbled to the ground.

While trying to gain his footing back, he suddenly felt the scarf restrict around his neck - felling him to the ground again.

He stared up at her wide, confused eyes. "Whet d'ya went frem meee...?" he squeaked incredulously.

A certain level of fierce satisfaction surged through the harpy mare as she looked down on the stallion laying at her feet. That had been almost too easy. It was a shame he hip hadn't been healed more, it would have been incredibly fun to have toyed with him some. It wasn't a risk worth taking though. "Whas do I wanf?" She smirked, though it might have been lost behind the knit of the scarf still held in her teeth. "I wanf you to come meet my sis'ers."

Dropping the scarf, Zahraa' trapped the end of it on the ground beneath a clawed foot, raising her head. "If you behave yourself and come quietly then no further harm will come to you or those lovely wings of yours." She might have been predator, and a bit skewed with her moral radar, but she kept her word once it was given. Leaning forward, she dipped her nose down beside his ear, voice lowering. "Make run for it, or cause any trouble, and I won't hesitate to steal your wings." White brows arched as she looked at him before she stepped off the end of his scarf so he could climb. "You can't fly, and you've no hope of out running me. If I were you, I would cooperate and follow along like a good boy."

She didn't really wait for a reply. It wasn't like the stallion had any real choice in the matter. Instead she waited for him to stand before ramming her shoulder into his side in the direction of the river and back home. Raising her head to let out a sharp, chirping whistle. Calling her precious male back to her.

"Sisters?" he squeaked again, the pressure on this throat only slightly relieved as she held under her impressive(ly scary) talons.

Completely lost as to what to do -the paniced stallion had no clue what to do or say. He stared up at her for several moments, slack jawed and completely flabbergasted.

His herd had warned him of the dangers of the world - but nothing had prepared him for this. Skinwalkers were nasty, gnarly things that wore decaying skins of wolves or pumas - they smelled rank of death and blood he had heard - and it's best you avoid them than fight them they said. They were vicious and could not be reasoned with. But she was no Walker...

Kalona, they had said, could be silver tongued but be wary - they have cold hearts and selfish motives. But he had been told Kalona wear horns like bulls or goats, and had wings like that of the bat - which this mare had none.

He slowly stood up... his legs shaking a bit. His wings hung limply as his sides - defeated. Blood from his broken pin feathers dripped to the ground in a slow but steady pattern.

He would go for now. He didn't question for a moment that she could - and would - hurt him if he defied her orders. Perhaps her sister, whoever she was, would be more reasonable.

Cabriole, who had kept his ears pinned against his sides through it and eyes closed as he chewed heavily on the nuts, sticks and bark, almost missed the whistle for that of a bird, having expected more of a tussle. However he realized he recognized the tone and backed up from the bush, spitting out the bitter snack and replacing it with a quickly chewed and swallowed mouthful of sweet grass, realizing his grazing would be cut short since, with a new capture, they would be required to return to the nest.

He slowed slightly as he noticed the painful looking state of the stallions wings, having difficulty meeting the other males eyes. However, as he nears he tries to, trying to smile comfortably, silently apologizing with his expression and body language, "...Sorry... Ah.. If you j-just go peacefully with Zahraa and stay non-aggressive or and avoid resisting, you'll be safe from... Further harm." he paused, fidgeting in a little jingling dance, much like his first appearance, however he looked groggy from the bee stings, "... It's not really a bad situation, if you go along with it... I'm so sorry, though."

A flick of her eyes followed the honey stallion as he rejoined them, the shadow of a smile threatening to grow at the corners of her mouth. So obedient. She would have to take him out again soon for some grazing, considering their relaxing afternoon had been cut abruptly short. As she lead the pair of them home she kept an ear swiveled back to catch the advice Cabriole was giving the new stallion. As well as the apology, which pulled a twisted sort of smile along pale lips. Half amused, half something else. She wasn't sure how she felt about her pet apologizing to the new male, nor what exactly he was apologizing for. The capture, not warning him?

"Yes my sweet, tell him well so he may be as cared for as you." She had no doubt, that of all the males to listen to, the smartest choice was her Cabriole. He was a smart stallion, useful and clever, but put that intelligence to use for the flock. He seemed to be adapting well to his captivity.

Her pace was quick as she loved past the river and through the woods. They weren't far from the heart of the flock, and she was eager to get back and present her new capture to the queen. A few back glances along the way ensured the both of them were still behind her, though she was looking more for the scarfed wind. She could hear Cab's bells, they let her know exactly where he was.

Tylir's head hung low, his ears pressed back against his head as he mulled after his feathered captor. The honey colored stallion was back...following like an obedient puppy after his two-legged master. He looked him over carefully... he seemed in good health...perhaps a bit tired. A small scowl crossed his lips as he apologized. Sorry? He was sorry? Surely, he was joking.

He gave a long, sideways glance at the other male. How easy it would have been to warm him. He had just.. stood there and waited for it to happen. He gave a little snort at his apology and dragged his gaze forward, following his captor.

Perhaps he had given up too easily? Very slowly he flexed his injured wing. In... out... up...

He gave a sharp intake of breath as a sharp pain shot through him. It wasn't broken, but there was no way he would be able to fly on it. His eyes lingered on the sharp talons of the female. He wondered how fast she would run with those things. She was obviously dexterous... but was she swift?

....but it wouldn't take much to outrun him. He was used to flying, not running, and had never even attempted to race another soquili on solid ground.

He lolled his head as a blanket of despair and self-loathing rolled over him. Feeling sorry for himself, he just followed, zoning out as he followed suit, letting himself get slightly hypnotized by the jingle of little bells beside him.
