Darkly_Doomed fk12 "You play as a dude playing a dude in an MMO! It's actually fun, trust me!" I got a kick out of that line. There are probably far worse things to attempt explaining than .hack. Like The World God Only Knows. Ever try telling someone about a manga that's about a dude who is really good at those games where the goal is to make the girl fall in love with you and ends up with a contract with a devil where he must make real life girls fall in love with him or he'll be beheaded? It can be awkward. The worst to explain. CHRONO CROSS. But how I love it.

I can see why that could be tough to explain, but...

gecloud @breathless you sure it's not a porn it sounds like it. jk but it's my favorite explanation i heard for anything ever and that's counting a perv explain geometry to kids That's exactly what my friend said.... I copy the "explanation" down adn read it to her and that's what she said....

Even though they haven't played //G.U. Yeah. They can tell what some characters are like just because that's how much I talk about .hack. (And they know of my total loathing Sakaki) XD

That's a vague summary of it, but there's a lot more like clones and the destroyer of time and space Lavos and having a deathly fear of cats and then having to switch bodies with a catman named Lynx and going into a painting world and it's fun.

Aye, now try to explain the plot. Of which adventure? But, generally speaking, it seems like "stupid yet humorous" would work. Eg., the one that I was doing was one with a detective who was locked in his office. It was quite odd.

it's a game about a mmo thats based on poem made by a german and the mmo was made as a observation room for morganna to make a ai.
