Luke looked to her and sighed. "Come on. Jethrow wants to see you at dinner. You have about 20 minutes to get there." he said, checking his watch. He led her back to the castle, quietly worrying for his sister.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream.  Sighing, Anya followed him, looking over her shoulder at some point. It wasn't terribly far to the castle, and she frowned once the front door was in sight. Being cooped up inside wasn't her favorite, a trait taken from her mother's side of the family. But if Jethrow is saying I must be there, the master is probably telling him that it's necessary. "Have you tried the tavern yet?" she asked Luke, figuring that his sister was next on the summoning list.

"I came to get you first. She's probably passed out in her room. That's what happens when she drowns her tempermental disposition in sweets." he said, shaking his head at his sister's foolishness.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Shrugging, Anya moved ahead of Luke and into the castle; she wanted to check on something really quick before dinner. She quickly ran up the stairs, two at a time, and down the hall to her room. Opening the door, she quickly shut it behind her and a fire sprung up in the fireplace. And the creature stretched out by the fireplace looked up expectantly, running towards Anya in a blink and jumping up, putting its large paws on her shoulders. "Down!" she whispered urgently, and it put its paws on the ground, tongue lolling out. "I'll be back in a bit with food," she whispered, kneeling down and scratching the creature behind the ears. She stood again, pointing to the fireplace, where the creature walked to and sat obediently, spikey tail wagging. She left, with one backwards glance towards it before closing her door again. If she didn't check in on the creature every few hours, it got restless and scared, hiding in the corner of her room.

Luke watched her run ahead and he shrugged. He took this time to see his sister up in her room. He climbed the stairs quietly, hands stuffed in his pockets. After he had arrived, he had a maid send a note to Jethrow. Seems he won't be making it to dinner tonight.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Sighing in relief, Anya continued down the stairs and towards the dining room, noticing that the doors were open. Jethrow was already seated at his spot, reading a note that a maid had clearly brought him. Taking the seat across from him, she tilted her head curiously, but asked nothing, not wanting to seem rude. Even though the two were much like family members now, Jethrow held a high importance for manners. Their plates were brought out of the kitchen for the appetizer, and Anya looked down, puzzled. "Where are Luke and Lunora?" There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing.  Jethrow looked up at the sound of footsteps, holding his hand out for the note the maid carried and smiling as he thanked her. Reading it, he heard Anya also enter, sitting down across from him and staying quiet, though he could almost feel her curiosity burning across the table. The note was simple; the two other teachers wouldn't be attending dinner, and with a sigh, he placed it on the corner of the table as the first of three courses was serves, as per usual. "Lunora isn't suited for dinner, tonight, and her brother has decided to stay with her," he said dismissively, even waving his hand. It was all she really needed to know, even if the issue wasn't horribly important. It was just good consideration.

Luke tended to his sister, soon coming down to the dining hall, taking a seat next to Jethrow as he waited. "I'm sorry we could not join you tonight, Jethrow. Lunora... She's fallen very ill." he said, sighing some. He hated it when his sister was sick. It was the only time she seemed vulnerable. She always got horrible fevers when she got sick and had no appetite. But that wouldn't stop him from getting her to eat something.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya looked up from her salad and tilted her head at Luke. I wonder what the likelihood of Lunora's illness being caused by her, she thought, looking back down. A year ago, she'd have been frightened that Jethrow would hear her thoughts, but they'd quickly discovered that the spell he used to enter others' mind didn't work, for unknown reasons, on Anya. I wonder if we'll discover why once I master that spell. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow nodded sadly, taking a drink of his wine. "How unfortunate; well, I hope she feels better. If either of you wish, I could easily and quickly prepare an herbal remedy to help her sleep, or to relieve symptoms." He smiled a crinkly-eyed smile at Luke, hoping to make him feel marginally better before returning to the plate in front of him. The servers began to come out with the main course, bringing plates with garlic green beans, and steaming ham, and steak strips, and such.

Luke nodded some, smiling a little. "Maybe after dinner. I got to get her to eat something first. Can't let her starve." he said as a butler gave him a small pot, it obvious it was soup. Luke thanked the help and got up, bidding Jethrow and Anya goodbye, going back to Lunora's room.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya watched him leave, tilting her head curiously. She wanted to know every little detail about everything going on, as usual. Sighing, she went back to her food, taking a couple of pieces of ham and cutting it slowly. "I'm starting to loose my appetite at dinner and it always comes back late at night," she commented in a somewhat sad tone, setting it up to take food with her to her room. Sighing again, she took a bite of the meat, chewing it slowly in that way that people do when they don't actually want to eat the food they have. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow frowned once Luke was out of the room and took another sip of wine, puzzling over this ailment that had suddenly fallen on Lunora. I wonder just how much of it was her own fault, he mused to himself, looking up as Anya spoke. She really didn't look all that hungry, having barely finished her salad and was just picking at her meat. He narrowed his eyes a little to see better, thinking to himself, he tried to figure out if she, too, was falling ill. Perhaps there was something bothering her that she wasn't realizing or wasn't admitting. Whatever the cause was, it would take a few more days like this for him to puzzle it out, and his exhaustion of the night was setting in earlier and earlier.

Luke went up to Lunora's room, going inside. He set the pot on a table and spooned some into a bowl. Luke then walked over to the bed and sat next to his sister. She was laying under only the bottom sheet, the thinnest covering on the bed. She was sweating heavily, her breath labored. Luke moved her head onto his lap. "Luna. You've got to eat something." he murmured to her quietly.
Lunora opened her eyes a little, looking up at her brother. "L... Luke.... I'm tired.... L... Let me sleep..." she slurred, closing her eyes again. She wished she could sleep. Just sleep. But her brother wouldn't allow it. After a bit more pestering, she ate some of the soup he had brought her.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya ate a bit more of the ham, which had she not been lying she would've devoured, before pushing her plate away. It was an easy enough trick to play, pretending not to be hungry. If she only took her favorite foods in the beginning and barely ate anything throughout the meal, she would appear to just not be hungry. "If you'll excuse me, I'm not that hungry. Can I just take some food to my room for when I wake up in the middle of the night, starving?" she said apologetically and jokingly. Quickly, a maid began to collect the food on Anya's plate and putting it into a small container, then she came back with a loaf of bread and some of the desert that was going to be served; small fruit tarts. Smiling, Anya thanked her for the food and picked up the package, nodding politely to Jethrow on her way out. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow sighed as the desert was brought out the moment Anya was gone. All three of the younger tenants, because all of them were centuries younger than the wizard himself, had been acting somewhat strange. Anya and her lack of appetite, Lunora and her depression, and Luke and his...Well, he'd been odd in the first place, the man had established. He finished his tart listlessly, thanking the servers for the dinner and standing, picking his staff up from where it leaned against the table and leaving the room. He stared at the stairs for a brief moment before beginning to move up them and towards his floor. These joints just aren't what they used to be.

Once Luke got his sister to go to sleep, he exited her room in time to see Anya heading to her own. "Anya. Wait a moment. There's a little thing I'd like to talk to you about." he said, walking to her side.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya heard Luke's voice and turned, her fingers clenching ever-so-slightly over the box she held in her hands. She was hungry, the creature in her room was hungry, and there was more than enough food in her hands to feed the two of them. But she put a confused and pleasant smile on her face and shrugged. "What is it?"
