Same here with AlienNation.
Reason why i stopped looking at Babylon 5 was because the tv-station around here kept switching the time it was broadcasted between seasons, from late, to very late to extremely late, back to very late, and occasionally one episode each day of the week, to keep up after a too long hold-up of it .....
Hercules as captain? ..... Do You mean the captain was named hercules, or that it was the same actor as in the series Hercules?
If the latter, i had no problem .... but then, i saw Andromeda before i saw Hercules ......

Other non-star sci-fi:
Have heard much good about Dr Who, but have only seen the two first seasons of the new ones ...... and they were great!
I really like the wierd mix of oddities, humor, and wierd realism in the middle of it all.

The lead actor in Andromeda is Kevin Sorbo. He's the lead actor in the Hercules live action series that was on for a while too. So anytime I've seen that show I am expecting Hera to be involved and Xena to make a guest appearance xd Its hard for him to shake that role for me, like how Shatner will never escape being Kirk and Hamil will always be Skywalker and the Joker to me. Even in the game Conduit it seems like Hercules is the one talking to you.

I like star wars, just not a lot of what it has become. I still enjoy pieces of it, just not anything done in many many years outside of parodies.

I've been slowly catching on to SGU, and SGA. I guess that I am a sifi-adventure person.

Agreed. I like older ones, but don't care for the newer additions.

An example of this to me is the Clone Wars CG cartoon. I keep trying to give it a chance, but it always disappoints me. Just the other day they finished some trilogy which was supposed to answer questions on stuff, but all it did was have a boring plot that already tells me everything I knew in a way I didn't care for. No one really answered anything or did anything to advance star wars to me, in fact it did the opposite. The idea that some random father and his two children are super-powerful for no real reason and they are the balance of the force sounds really boring to toss into the mythos of Star Wars, which has always been quite interesting.

Something hyped up like this should really deliver more. A three-part saga in clone wars is essentially a movie-length venture. Instead of something fun and interesting, its a very basic and boring siblings-bicker-over-who-takes-over sort of plot with nothing revealed other than the galaxy has "turmoil to come" and that Anakin is indeed "the one", in which we already knew both of those things just watching the movies. It is writing and direction like that which makes it hard to say I'm a star wars fan or even a scifi fan now-a-days.

Also to add to the list of decent scifi is Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I never saw it before and watched it the other day. Parts were kind of slow for me and it was a bit too British for my taste, but it had good ideas to it and interesting stuff too. I saw the newer movie after it and the same principle applies. The original was interesting while the new one was kind of obnoxious and made the things I liked in the series less interesting overall, even with newer graphics.

I have read the books on Hitchhiker's Guide.
It is really entertaining, but a bit depressing in the long run, as i see it.
There is an older ... movie or series made on it, that i have heard was quite good.
However, the latest movie .... what little i've seen was so totally wrong, so i don't bother seeing it at all.

I read it was originally a radio program or something which seems kind of interesting. Didn't know there was a book version, but it figures I suppose.
The versions I saw were the old TV series and after seeing those episodes I was played the newest movie. Really didn't like the movie and how they handled a lot of things the TV show had.
