Thanks guys! I figured a meebo chat would work for during a DJ's talk spot. That way it's more spontaneous and conversation-like.

You all have such great ideas! This is where I desperately wish I had a mic... D:
I think we should have both the meebo chat and a thread. The thread we could maybe use for important events/announcements/memorable things and such, as well. The chat can totally be like the phone line, as Red suggested.

I try to have good ideas. And the thread could more be for off air questions, and maybe contests connected to the ball. In order to drum up popularity and attention.

The fact that you don't have to sign up, yet still be able to chat is going to attract a lot of people. (:
Hmm, I think we are also going to have to think of ways to get the radio station gain popularity right? This would all be pointless if no one other than people in the guild listened to it. After all, the point of the radio is to draw in people, and to keep our members updated. What other ways can we advertise the radio station other than putting a link in our signature?

CB thread? Guild announcement when we finally open it? Link to it from the Guild Homepage? Contests I think would be a big one. Each DJ can run one however they like...

Having it affiliated with every one of the threads under the 9th Annual Ball's umbrella is a default, I suppose.
Word of mouth, er, post? That may or may not be a very powerful weapon in our arsenal. ;D

Like I stated earlier, I will be starting my own radio station (not affiliated with gaia or the ball) but I can say something about the ball in my first show premiering hopefully next week. Then on my website I will create for the radio station, I could place the link to the station there as well. (I could try atleast)

Though idk if they'd allow it, since it'd be an out-of-gaia kind of thing...
I'm going to quest for my mic tomorrow, and if it doesnt appear I'm going to buy one asap =D

Lol, sounds good, Armin, and I agree about the spotlight thing. Just let them spotlight the ball itself and maybe one of its on-site threads. XD
That'd be awesome, Epcot. While our main focus is advertising on-site, a little bit of outside help never hurts. =D
Oooh, post styles. Maybe we could send messages in aquarium bottles, too. Or ask about it. Something.

Psycho Sabs Hadn't really thought of that...each DJ could be in charge of getting the music. I don't want to steal it. So most of us have Itunes, yes? We can make a big library archive of music. If necessary I can get some music from friends and such. (also, since I was really tired when I read it, I just got GAB radio. I sort of love it.) If there are any other chinese users in this guild I'd be happy to use KuGou with them o.o It's a program where you can download music for free! ^w^
