Cal quirked her head to the side. "An Absol, huh?" She gazed into it's eyes and shrink back a bit. It was like the Absol could stare straight into her very being. Now she needed to focus on the battle to come. "Ok, you ready Skye?" The blue eyed 'Chu was staring off into the distance, not paying much attention to anything. "Skye!" She stomped her foot trying to call his attention.

Skye perked his ears up, glancing back at his trainer before getting on all fours. His tail arched forward and his ears were laid back against his head. Sparks appeared from the white pouches on his cheeks.

"Your move first." She waved a hand to Faleen. It was the polite thing to do after all.

Absol shook himself out, fluffing his fur along his body before it smoothed back down in an elegance while he strode forward to taking his place on the battle field. claws scraped the grown as he slowed to a stop, dark eyes turned on his opponent, the Pikachu sparking and ready... his eyes narrowed as if to say 'interesting'

Faleen caught the dusk ball she had throw out to release him, shrinking it back down and returning it to her thigh.
folding her arms over her chest, looking to Cal when she offered her the first attack, she gave her a small smile.
"Ice Beam" she stated, simply.

At this word, Absol threw his head up, mouth opening, lips curling away from his line of fangs.
A pail white ball started to form between his teeth, growing larger until it was nearly hitting the tips of his canines.
An explosive beam made from out in long swirling threads, twisting to form a thick white rod of energy shot toward the pikachu.

Skye knew just what to do, even before his trainer could call out a command to dodge. He made a move to get out of the impressively large ice beam's way, but it clipped his tail as it passed. This threw off his stance for a moment, before he regained his balance.

That was close.... "Skye! Sweet Kiss!" Maybe confusing the foe would do them so good. She was already having fun with this battle.

The white cheeked Pikachu didn't hesitate; his moves were fast as he came with seemingly blinding speed to the Absol. Once there, he gave the Absol a cute face, as it he was hypnotizing it and puckered up his lips.

Absol's eyes grew wide for a moment when he found a puckered up Pikachu in his face, for a moment he stood, unsure of what to do, before he shook his head sharply, growling viciously and swiping a claw out at the Pikachu to get it away from him.
though oddly he remained unusually dizzy.

Faleen lifted a corner of her mouth, she recognized that attack of corse... remembering the eevee that used to use it on Umbreon all the time.
glancing down a little, though not letting her eyes wander from the battle, she had to hope that Absol would snap out of it soon enough.
"Ariel Ace"
He would be useless unless he got a hit on the pokemon, and this move was guaranteed to hit its mark.

With a powerful bound, Absol arched high into the air, making a deadly dive toward the Pikachu, claws extending at the last second.

The Pikachu took the attack full force. It knocked him back a good ways, but he wasn't hurt too badly. He stood up on his hunches and smiled, ears perked up. His white cheeks sparked faintly.

Aerial Ace huh? Cal snicked a bit. A flying type move would do little damage to the electric mouse. "Skye, Thundershock!" She ran a hand through her hair and smirked at the two pokemon.

Skye adjusted himself to all fours, running up to the Absol to get a good aim on him. He let out a weak gold of electricity to his foe.

Well that didn't have the affect it usually had, Faleen frowned a little, taking a gamble with that one didn't work out despite the Absol's high attack abilities.

She watched as the small electric attack crackled toward him, striking him right in his chest.
The white pokemon spasms a little before tensing up and bowing his head forward,
both being her newest pokemon, and one with the lowest defense, he took more damage from that then she would have liked.

Absol moved to go for a more powerful attack, but he staggered in confusion once his head jerked up, and ended up tumbling over, cracking his head on the ground.

This battle was going extremely well. Skye was listening and this was going smoothly. "Skye, hit 'em with another Thundershock." The obvious confusion of the pokemon played in there favor, but how long would the Absol be in that state? Hopefully it wouldn't snap out of that until the battle was over.

Skye's white cheeks sparked up once again. He hunched over, tail held high in the air and ears laid back trying to call for a powerful bolt. But it was to no avail. The attack he sent was weak as usual causing the Pikachu to grit his teeth in disappoint.

Hitting Absol with it caused him to twitch and tense up. shaking as he tried to stand up, and shaking himself out once he was on his feet.

Faleen frowned, knowing he couldn't take this forever.
"Ice Beam" she told her Absol.

With another two shakes of his head, still trying to shake the stars from his eyes, he managed to open his mouth, forming the ball in his mouth that shot out in a streak toward the Pikachu.

Skye did his best to dodge, sliding on his stomach, but his tail was left vulnerable in the air. The Ice Beam froze his tail solid, sending immideate chills throughout the Pikachu's whole body. He couldn't attack as he desperately tried to free his tail.

Faleen's hands clenched over her elbows, eyes narrowing a little when the attack seemed to be much more affective then the first one.
"Night slash it!"
he obeyed, but his attack didn't go as well, still disoriented, the Absol's attack slid past the stuck Pikachu, stumbling and tumbleing over again.

Skye, still working on the frozen portion of his tail, eyed the fallen Absol. He needed this battle to be over quickly. He needed to get out of this ice as soon as he could. The chills were almost unbearable, as he chipped and melted the ice away.

"Try it again" Faleen ordered her Absol again, as he pushed himself to his feet, claws scraping on the ground.
The horn in his head glowed with a darkness once again, he kept his footing this time, charging the Pikachu, throwing his head down as a blade of dark energy sliced out, aiming toward Skye.

Skye freed himself from the ice, but it was far too late. The Absol's attack had hit the poor 'Chu back into a stupor. He growled and gritted his teeth, trying to stand up on all fours. Trying and failing. Skye fell to the ground with a soft thud, knocked out.

Cal sighed, "Skye, return." She eyed the ball, running a gentle finger over the Ele-seal. "I guess that means you win." She put on a smile. "I guess I need to train him more."

Faleen let out a breath through her teeth when the Pikachu was pulled back into his Pokemon, the sight of her Absol breathing hard, and still a little wobbly on his feet showed just how close she was to losing.
He was a powerful pokemon... and he had great potential, but... as Cal said-
"I've got a long way to go with Absol to" she noted, pulling out Absol's Dusk ball and returning him into it.

"Thank you for the battle, it was enlightening" she said, with a smile to the other Rocket.

Cal walked up to Faleen, hand held out to shake her hand. "I'd say you were doing pretty well so far." She smiled. "This battle has been enlightening for the both of us." Cal knew that she would need to do some serious training with Skye if she was ever going to be good enough for Team Rocket. She would have to be the best of the best.

"I hope we could do this again sometime." The grin never once left her face as she addressed her fellow Rocket.
