Matt walked casually down the hall to his class. When he reached the door, he checked his watch. "Oh, I'm only 5 minutes late." he sighed. "What a pity." He opened the door, strode in with a flourish and smoothed a wrinkle on his sleeve.

Lucrezia looked up with a start. Her attention had been directed at her MP3 player, but now she focused on the young man who just walked in, he looked mighty familiar...
Lucia also looked up and a wide grin split her face,"Matt!" she called out "How great to see you again!" Then she blushed and stood up, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to speak out of turn, Ms.Tunmore. You may punish me if you wish."
Lucrezia shook her head and rolled her eyes. She stood up and said, "I'm Lucrezia and that little blue dandelion over there is Lucia, my twin sister. She stays home all the time, embroidering, so she hasn't met anyone but humans but my closest friends are dark elves, centaurs and vampires.

Kyle nodded obiediently. He waved to the newcomer, but put his arm down hastily when he smoothed out his sleeve. "Geez...do wrinkles matter that much in school?" he wondered.

Lucrezia sat down and sighed, she began looking around the room. Until now she had paid no attention to the people gathered in it.
There was a girl in a blue dress, she looked like a potential friend for Lucia. She looked human, but these days you couldn't be too sure.
There was a dark elf girl, she had a sort of air around her of being fed up with something or someone, most likely her family. Dark elves were known to be proud and a bit...smothering.
The newcomer who looked familiar. Also seemed to be a pain in the a**.Great
And then there was blondie. He had a sort of friendly air about him that wasn't too 'in your face'.And there was something in his eyes, something quick and a tad dangerous. Or maybe Lucrezia was just seeing things.

Kyle smiled at the new boy anyway, despite the fact he looked rather fed up with the class. He swung up his feet onto the desk in front of him, and took an old pocket watch from one of the pockets on his vest. It was crafted with a fine bronze exterior, and the inside had almost five hundred moving parts. Kyle smiled, and whipped out a small screwdriver, set to fiddle with that fob watch until someone told him to put it away.

Ms. Tunmore adjusted her glasses with annoyance. Didn't these children know how to get to class on time? "Don't worry Lucia. What is you name Mr. Newcomer, and have you interacted with other races?"

Kyle was deaf to anything but the staedy ticking of his half broken watch. The crystal was cracked, and the bronze cover that flipped open was dented. He had been working on this thing for a few months, and it already showed imrpovements. He tweaked several more gears and springs, then tucked it into his pocket to listen to the newcomer. "He look interseting enough, maybe a man of learning or something. Or he might just be a stuck up p***k whose parents are rich." he thought to himself, and twirled his screwdriver arond like some people do with their pencils.

Matt arched an eyebrow and tilted his head at the rest of the class. "Hey, I'm Matt. I'm a vampire. I've had dealings with most of the races." He smirked and went to the back of the class to sit in a desk under a slightly flickering light-bulb. He folded his hands in front of his mouth patiently.

Kyle rolled his eyes. "Yep, another stuck-up jerk." he thought to himself," and sighed. He inspected his brown boots out of boredom, and played with a loose thread absentmindedly.

Matt lay down his head on the desk and closed his eyes. The scent was overwhelming. Somebody in a connecting room had an open wound. He could feel the fangs extend as he pulled the desk back farther into the shadows.

Matt just barely heard the whisper from Lucia. But he ignored it anyways. If he tried to answer he'd end up either killing or injuring a classmate. Instead, he nodded to her. "How does she know me?" he thought.

"Matt, remember me?" Lucia said, a bit louder, not sure how to interpret the nod he gave her.
Lucrezia gave the room one last look and replaced her headphones. Soon her brain was filled with the soothing sounds of driving rock. Then, something made her look up. Next to her the vampire kid looked very uncomfortable. Lucia was trying to get his attention, but he looked like he was about to attack someone. She removed her headphones and hissed, "Lucia, move away from him and be quiet"

Kyle stood up with a grin at the class. "Well, has everyone inroduced themselves? If so, I say we head to lunch now. Some of our classmates," he nodded to Matt in the back, "are looking rather peaky. Besides, its almost noon." he said, whipping out his beaten up pocketwatch.
