Jacob entered the dance, he looked around and saw a few people. He wondered if this dance was going to be a dud. He looked around the room and saw that they had a dessert table. He ran up to it happily and started munching on a cookie.

 Jaxx just rolled his eyes. "Whatever. You don't scare me." Nothing scared him. He was the bravest, best looking, most awesome person on the entire planet.

"Okay, that's enough, both of you. If you want to kill each other now is not the time." Erik grabbed Jaxx's shoulder on impulse and flinched when he did so. He immediately took his gloved hand off the boy's shoulder. "But as I was saying before you so rudely ignored me: I am Erik, son of Apollo, and your cabin counselor. Did you just arrive today? I got no notice of any new campers."

Jaxx rolled his eyes at the boy. He seemed to be one of those nice guy types. How pathetic. "No I've been here for years. Haven't you noticed?" Jaxx asked sarcastically.

John growled a little for now their was fighting and no one was dancing. He smiled a bit as he walked across the room to the refreshments.

Erik sighed at Jaxx's obvious disreguard for authority. "Haha. Very funny," he replied sarcastically, shoving Jaxx's remark back at him.
Erik notice the boy who just walked in but did not acknowledge him.

As he came to the Refreshments shadows flew out from his own and rushed over to the corners of the room before standing there watching. John looked around and said "Well why dont someone get this party started?"

Chad is wearing a black tuxedo with a red long-sleeve polo and red dress shoes. Alex is wearing a sleek, yet simple, black cocktail dress.
Chad walked into the dance, holding Alex's hand, and whispered, "I didn't know we were having a little dance before the big one until today... Huh. Weird... That reminds me, I have another date for the August Dance, Alex."
"Oh, it's fine... I'm actually going out with this boy for the August Dance... His name's Arthur, and I think he's kinda cute."
"Aww, Alex is growing up finally..." Chad smirked.
"Shut up!" Alex blushed slightly.

Before Jaxx could reply, Erik walked to the refreshment table. He looked at the selection of food laid out for all to enjoy. A lot of things he didn't recognize lay there. He picked up a circular thing that was golden brown with small, darker brown spots on i (cookie, but he doesn't know that) He took a bite and was surprised at it's wonderful flavor. He sat in a chair and nibbled on the delicious treat in solitude.

Vincent Aoki: Son of Hephaestus
This was his first day here.. It was the first place that felt right to the Demi-God, "So... that Satyr wasn't lying... I really am a son of a god." That would explain the flames that he created when he was mad, angry, or just in a bad mood.
Following the sounds of music, he ended up at the dance floor. His long black and red hair swished from a brief wind. He felt like he belonged here. But, he still didn't know anyone. So he stood in a corner waiting for some to talk or interact with him. Most of who were at the dance were males... Which made it slightly akward.

Jaxx glared after Erik. How annoying. He saw another girl wearing a black coctail dress next to a boy in a black uxedo witha red long-sleeved polo. He approached them praying this girl wasn't his sister. He'd already made that mistake once. "Hey," he smirked at the girl. "Could I steal you for a dance."

Erik looked up when his cookie was gone. Jaxx had gone on to flirt with another girl, and boy he didn't know walked in as well. I might as well socialize.. he thought to himself. Erik stood up from out of his chair and stalked across the room to the boy he hadn't met. "Hello, there." Erik smiled politely "What's your name?"
