Finally tried it. I was soooo close to the jellyfish, but then that stupid moth killed my last crewmember. I didn't even realize they had all died except for one until like 10 minutes later...

@Yan: It makes the voyages easier. Just increases the risk of game over if you encounter a lot of instant death events. Like the moth.
Set speed to fast, rations to meager, do not rest.
Pray that some of them get health penalties so that all of them don't drop off at the same time.

I've won once with Sam. But I quit twice because I was only halfway there with only one crewmember, and I hadn't got the moth yet.

The moth appearing on every trip is an exaggeration, it's just a really common way to die. I made it the entire second half on my own with Carl x3 I've actually finished one trip with all crewmembers alive and well.
You can do it ;0 Just be careful and keep lots of ammo.
