Animus came close to not even picking up on the movements of the elf. Before he knew it Jocelyn and himself were heading for the floor. They connected with a heavy thud. No female figured had ever gotten so close to Animus; their torsos more than touching, almost smashed together. Animus seemed to always put on a hard exterior, one which made him looked cold but he truly soft on the inside. Like a jelly bean so to speak. A sudden blush rose to his cheeks as he looked up at Jocelyn. His muscles quickly began to get to work and he leaped up and stood Jocelyn up a good distance from him. He then looked at the elf. "Train." He spoke swiftly to the elf, hoping not to fight him again.

Jocelyn made a quick jerky gesture away from Animus and shot im a scowl. She could not believe that had just happened! Her and the lycan where taken out effortlessly. She had not even seen his movements, before the two were sprawled out on the library floor. How humiliating! She thought. She compressed a shiver, by walking and picking up her sword. ~We would not have even known if we did die...wont have seen it coming~ She said in her head. The thoughts were sickening, and make her stomach hurt. Aside from the previous kick to the ribs. And now, now he was offering them training. Why? They lost? They had not even made a mark on him. Jocelyn grew suspicious, as to why he would ask such a thing, but she would play his game for now. Perhaps they really could learn. Sliding the sword back in its scabbard, she walked up to stand besides animus and spoke. "Im in for training" She replied, looking the man with speed in the eyes. Trying to keep a tough exterior.

The High Elf watched the two's every movement. From their fighting styles, to there somewhat of a partnership. Before when they had moved in to attack him, they started on working together. A great start to teamwork that Regin would never let them know..not yet anyways.
And they were clearly not as stupid as they look, deciding on best bet that it would be better to train..to seek out what he had to offer instead of a simpletons way of attacking. But they were on guard..good, he thought. If they understood what he taught them, then they would be fine warriors for the future.
Crossing his arms, the elf spoke to the lycan at first.
"Your a benku.....' Stopping himself short. "Berserker..from what you humans call it today, the mastery of fighting hand to hand. Your element is air, and you smell of dog. Obviously a Lycan" he replied with bore.
Back when he was fully alive, Lycans where the wanderers of the woods. Aiding elves against creatures that go bump in the night ((I just had to lmao ))

Looking at Jocelyn "And you...you are obviously a sword user...potential to be a master..but sloppy..very very sloppy" He sneered. ~Her father would wipe the floor with her~ he said in his head. He decided not to bring him up. It could bring dramatic consequences into the mix, that he did not want to bother himself with.

"First off..I tell you what to do..not the other way around. Understood?" He asked, as he shifted his position a bit and walked over to the massive book shelf. Grabbing two books, he tossed one at Jocylen and one at Animus. "Read" he said. As he walked over to the intrusive girl, and picked her up by the back of the shirt. Blood dripping on the ground. "Ill be back in ten" he said plainly.
He walked to the back room and shut the door behind him.

((What would you like to learn my dear? Just tell me and I will tell you what to learn wink )))

As she gripped the book, the silence was deafening in the upstairs portion of the library. She had picked up on a few parts of what he said to them. He had almost slipped with words, that where unfamiliar with her. Another word..or language for berserker. Giving her thoughts to "How old could he possibly be?" He was obviously an elf..give the pointed ears and almond shape eyes. But when she read up on this city..it was said no elves existed anymore. Wiped out by a plague. She did not have any answers, only questions. The book that was given to her was on sword mastery basics. Im a swordmaster? She thought...

When she thought about it, she remembered her past. How easily she wielded sticks the size of staffs, or even a scythe she had used to cut weeds surrounding there farm. But sloppy? Sloppy is not what she wanted to hear..she was a perfectionist at heart. Sloppy was not in her vocabulary to describe herself. She stuck to reading...easily being sidetracked for a moment. The elf said that Animus smelled like a dog...but to her he smelled like a forest, or just primal..or...she did not have a word for it, but he smelled good. The thought caused her nipples to harden under her shirt.
"ugh" she made a incurious sound. Last thing she wanted to think about was a men...any man for that matter. She came to learn, to not be so sloppy.
'What did he give you?" She asked, a little to sharp. Cutting off any thoughts she may have had.

((I want to get the Beserker Skills out the way first.))
The young lycan caught the book from the air. He looked down at it for just a bit before he opened and skimmed the pages. It seemed the elf had given him a book on the basic Beserker techniques. His concentration was thrown out of whack when Jocelyn seemingly grunted. He looked up and took a step towards her. "Are you okay?" he asked her right before she began to ask him a question. "Oh...I just got a book on some basic techniques, that's all," he spoke with a fake smile. There was something on his mind, mostly why Jocelyn had seemed so upset at something, well to him she seemed upset. He couldn't not tell if it was because they had came to train or for something else. If it was because of the training he would've been slightly agitated for she was the one who wanted to come here for that specific reason. If it was something else, on the other hand, he wanted to fine out what that something else was. For now he just kept his eyes upon her face. 'She's really quite beautiful,' he thought to himself. The man shook his head almost as soon as he thought this. "What am I'm thinking," he muttered aloud.

Jocelyn had heard the Lycan mutter some words to himself. "Hmmm?" She said, looking at him from the corner of her eye. "Did you say somthing?" She asked.
The elf had given her a book of basic sword techniques. While she looked at him, she recalled a the first technique her eyes had laid on. "Dulled Edge" it was called. This would be the first move she would learn when the elf came back. The technique would dull the blade, in which Jocelyn did not see any point in at first, but then..if she wanted to train against someone without the risk of hurting them, it would be perfect. Also if she needed to capture a target alive.
That last word seemed to hang in her mind. "Alive" she thought to herself..would she ever have to go against someone like his? Too put her in that sort of predicament? She experienced a weird sensation in the pit of her stomach. Excitement...Which also scared her to her very core.

(( Just tell me what technique you would like to learn first and I shall incorporate it into my next post. smile

Perhaps Iron form? Its a technique that makes you as tough as iron, by meditating. Makes you more durable. Your attacks inflict more damage, and you can stand attacks up to C rank. Anything above C rank would cause damage. ))

((Sounds good to me : P))
"No...I didn't say a thing," he spoke rather quickly in response to Jocelyn. He then focused in on his book, his eyes reading upon the first technique they came upon. "Iron Form," he spoke to himself. The lycan then looked up to the female in front of him. "Well I've found the first technique I'd like to learn, you?" he asked her curiously. If they were going to travel as partners he at least wanted to know what she'd be learning so he would know how skilled she'd be in combat. As seen before they made a good pair but not so good against such a formidable foe.

Jocelyn had never heard of such a technique as Iron form. Maybe it would strengthen his skin? She really wasn't for sure. She shrugged off his response, and then answered his question. "Yes..Ive been reading up on this technique called 'Dulled Edge', it's pretty much used for training..amongst other things." She left off, wondering what she should say next. She looked out one of the windows, and noticed that it was still nighttime. She judged that they had been in here for about 2 hours and already all this had happened, being attacked..which brought them to a new teacher..if he was even that. Which by the way, where was he? She did not want to go open the door that he closed, so perhaps instead of just sitting here, maybe they could learn there techniques.
"We could train together if you would like..." She spoke solemnly. Leaving the decision up to him

((My RPing has been horrible lately >.< Sorry!))
"Train together...?" Animus echoed. "Sure, why not?" he spoke almost happily. He eyed her for a bit. She did not seem to be in the best of moods so he decided to ask once again, "Are you alright? You seem almost angered." He played with the book in his hands as he awaited her answer. Surely she can't be angered from what just happened, could she? This he did not know but he intended to find out.

Regin

In the back room, Regin examined the girl. He had come to the fact that when he had attacked the two people out in the library, and she slammed against the book shelf she knocked something loose. He would never be one hundred percent sure, but he was positive that her brain swelled..causing her to be brain dead. ~Could be used as a possession~ He thought to himself, if he controlled her he could use her body to fight endlessly against the two outside the doors without causing her any...lasting harm that she would remember. Smiling was not something he did often, but at the thought of the two's surprise when the girl came out of the doors he went into, almost made him giggle. It would lead them to more questions..more questions about what he was..that he was tied to this library, never being able to fully leave..and always coming back here to rest before long.
He also did not want himself being known to be here. Only the King and the Queen know of him. Nothing of his story, but just the fact that hes here. He would risk it..the curiosity of there expressions overcoming his carefulness. He had been robbed from excitement, for far to long.

Projecting from his once physical form, it slowly dissipated into his ghostly shape. The form that he always went back to at night. Either at will, or when his energy was beyond depleted. He was going to posses the brain dead librarian, for her heart still beat.
Seeping his ghostly form into every poor, he felt his surroundings. To the girls breasts, to the space between his legs that was unfamiliar to a male. Possessing a female was always a weird experience for Regin, but he would do this..for their training, and boredom's sake.
The only changed appearance that the girl would have was the eyes. They would be a sky blue color, almost glowing in a way.
But he was sure they would not pick up on it. They were still new, and not trained to observe the smallest details of there surroundings.

He stood up from the ground and quickly adjusted to his body. The girl was obviously not trained as a warrior..she had little to no muscle, but that did not matter to Regin. He was an assassin. Using his speed more then his brute strength. He stepped close to the door, and listened to there conversation. It seemed as if they picked out what they wanted to learn. Good for them, that that is what he was going to teach them first anyways.
Opening up the doors, he stepped out into the large upper floor of the library were he had left the two before.

What they would see was the librarian from before, with blood matted into her hair, and sky blue eyes. She wore a simple dress of a washed out yellow/orange color with orange hair that was cut short and not as dark as Jocelyn's. When Regin spoke through the librarian, it was her voice. Not his.

"You two would be at a complete disadvantage of training against one another...You" She said, pointing at the lycan. "Would be at the end of her sword. Sword-masters swords are an extension of there arms. If they could keep you at that length, your life could pretty much be over before you even knew what hit you..or..sliced you" She said with a manic smile. "Iron form... is what I want you to learn. It will enhance your durability, so simple cuts wont cut open a vital area persay. Learning how to access your powers should be known in the recess of your mind..the book to, might also help." She said. Her eyes casting over to Jocelyn, she walked to the left a few steps and picked up one of the fallen toppled chairs. Getting a firm hold, she raised it over her head and slammed it to the ground. It smashed in pieces, just like she wanted it to.

"You have a sword now...but you might not always be so lucky. Use anything to your advantage." She replied darkly, as she picked up a chair leg. A few inches shorter then Jocelyne sword. She saw that they both starred at the librarian with confused expressions. "Yes...its me!" She shouted menacingly as she took off as fast as the simple human librarian could, raising the piece of wood in front of her she gave commands. "Go learn lycan, don't interfere, and you girl! Your teaching comes hands on" She made a simple stab at Jocelyn's chest. The best way to teach Jocelyn is to dive head first into it, seeing how Animus's move would take stillness and meditation. Hard work for someone who cared for his teammate.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rank: D

Description: once it is activated its limit is ten posts. You meditate pre-battle or while you are not being attacked it takes two undisturbed posts of meditation to activate.
In iron form your body is as tough as iron meaning your punches hurt and getting hit by swords wont usually hurt you. Only C rank and above attacks can hurt you in this form

(( Alright, if you could look into this and give me the definitive answer, it would be greatly appreciated. Seeing how its a D rank move.. it would normally take you 6 posts, being a Trainee.
BUT with this Npc at Master rank, I THINK that it would take

-1 post per rank of teach over student. (Adept teaching Trainee grants -2 posts.)

Sooo... -3? Which would make it 3 posts to learn?? Im so bad with this stuff >_> Please correct me if im wrong.

The link is this -----> http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=19709203

Mine "Dulled edge" is rank E...soo -3 from that would be 0..which is cheating, so make it 1 post to learn.......Right? sweatdrop ))

((Actually its 5. To learn a D-rank move is 5 posts without help from a teacher or area. However, you cannot have your own NPC train you. That goes against the rules of having your characters train each other. You and Regula will have to do the 5 posts of training on your own unless you can find help from chill.))
PostPosted: Thu May 12, 2011 1:47 pm

Alright, so that should only apply to me? I can't learn from my Npc.
But the new rules of "Training yourself" has come into effect right?

Soo...I don't train myself, but I can still teach Regula. Seeing how hes not my rpc, but someone else entirely. Correct?

So his posts would take 3?

-1 post per rank of teach over student. (Adept teaching Trainee grants -2 posts.)

Regin is "Master rank" 3 ranks over trainee . 6 it would take because Regula is a trainee, and "Iron form" is a D rank.

~"If you are a Trainee learning a D rank skill it will take 6 posts."~
But Regin being master, it would be 6 - 3 = 3? razz

Isacc Gandorian

Breath in, breath out, Slow breathing, Keep it steady, dont want to draw attension, Isacc thought to himself, as he slowly made his way into through the city, arriving at the location he needed to be at. His body were hidden away by the dark brown cloak surrounding him, with its hood keeping his eyes from being seen by the average people walking by. His people had been hunted long enough, and to get what he needed, he'd prefere not to cause a panic. His gloved hand reached up to, and slowly pushed open, the door to the archives, slipping inside as quietly as he could. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He didn't like crowds. Heck he didn't like other people that much. Isacc's head shock as he forced himself to focus on the task at hand, slowly advancing through the building as he looked for the books on what he needed. OR more precisely, on what he believed he needed, to survive. As he turned down an isle, he ran his fingers horizontilly across the spines of each book, his finger stopping on the first of the books he wanted, 'The forbidden art of Dim Mak'. Slowly pulling the book from its shelf, he would place it in a sacheal at his side. Without stopping he continued his search, finding the next few books at a quicker pace than the first, 'The Way of the raging Fist' and 'The art of Muay Thai' . After aquiring what he needed, he would slowly make his way out of the building, his eyes constantly searching for anything dangerous, a habit his life in the barrens had taught him.
