Amerald was so happy that Eldrick had accepted the news so well. He then listened completely before giving any responses. "Yes, there are others. I plan to see some, if not most of them on the eve of the Harvest Festival next month. Are you planning on attending?" he asked, curiously.
He then swatted the man's hand away. "No, be with your son. Take him home and love and care for him. I may be old, but I can definitely do dishes yet. My hands aren't that shaky and I pray to whatever god there may be that they don't become crippled. I love my hands so much." he stated with a chuckle.
He then watched the boy and his new father. "Please, don't mention it. I found your house to be rather amazing and your kindness and respect to be much of what I look for in my potential guardians. You have a good head on your shoulders and I bet that you'll be a great father."

"Ah yes, that was the plan..." Already Eldrick's mind was humming with ways that he would be able to take his new charge out and about without attracting unwanted attention, because he couldn't bear the thought of keeping him all cooped up. He himself had been an active child, and the way that Alasdair was fidgeting in his place now told silently that he had 'inherited' that trait from the historian. "So I suppose I will see you when that time arrives." Reaching out a hand, he smiled at his new youngling and beckoned him close...it was time to finally convert that tiny room he'd been using for storage into a bedroom. He'd just have to come up with some feasible story for his land-ladies. "C'mon, Alasdair...let's go home..."
Standing up all at once, the Hraapea wobbled for a moment, blinking away his dizziness, the cause of which he was not old enough to comprehend, and then scampered over to his dad. Reaching up, he took the dark hand that was ever so much larger than his own. "Kay." He replied quietly, blinking large mocha eyes up trustingly at the other.
"Thanks again, Amerald." The man concluded, making his way towards the hallway and out, however, he did incline his head to both Annabelle and Amelia, "Ladies, it's been a pleasure. Don't be a stranger, you're welcome to come over for dinner, if you'd like...I'm sure the tyke wouldn't mind having you either. " And another of those faint smiles crossed his lips as he and the new addition to his family made their exit.
