Love too...

Fryos:

Fryos are desert warriors who found that even though a desert is barren to the eye does not mean it is barren in truth. In fact the desert was once a fertile prairie where life was perfect but this land had a curse buried in the mountains. The prairie was in fact a mask to a blazing volcano which was waiting to blow.

Shortly into the construction of the capital of the empire, the kami of the land told them to leave the land and take cover in Prime Root. Being close followers of the spirits the Fryos obeyed and just when they left completely, the volcano erupted.

Atys quake under its blast and to the Fryos horror, the prairie burned into a desert. Rock and fire destroyed their home but just when all seem lost the Kami appeared again awaken the hidden waters which flooded craters and gave life to the sands. The Kami turned to the Fryos and told them the land will not return to it last luster, but from the stone you can build a grand empire and the oasis will grant you waterways to grow crops.

So many felt lost seeing all they had left was sand, water, and rock, but with the help of the Kami and Zori they built an empire and tamed the desert which they now called home. Granted with the blessing of fire, they built forges and became smiths.

So from the fires of destruction came the fire of life and rise of the mighty Fryos Empire!

This was the beginning anyway, I will post more.

I kind of figured that the Volcano was the cause of how the land came to be what it is. But, that volcano is now the very icon immortalized, the founder, if you will for the land that is called Fryos, Atys. Shorten the name of Fryos, and you get a root word of fry. Fry = hot. Hot = summer season. Land of eternal summer is Fryos.

Prime Root is the core, so it gets the icon of being the start of the planet. Hence the start of the year = Root. The root of anything usually means base or the start of something. It is also a symbol of plants. So, having the name Prime root would be simplified according to Dee's terminology anyway, the land of eternal Spring.

By the way, I had placed the contest up and now you will have the opportunity Wolf to judge who has the best names for the Land of eternal Winter and the Land of eternal Autumn.

The land of Eternal Autumn is part 2 of the contest.

Prizes would be given, but the true grand prize is that person's name for both names gets placed in your books. The thanks would be the gaia username who won the contest. Part one gets a thank you and then part 2 gets a thank you.

I submitted a name for part 1. And did I mention, you get to determine when the contest ends and who wins?

Hehe, your starting to think like a true resident of Atys Kai. You should pay Atys a visit sometime, you never know what you may find on it.

Oh, thank you Kai. I will check it every now and then and tell everyone when I have picked a winner. I honestly can't wait to see what names people come up with.

Ok, time for a post about DragonTane Temple!

DragonTane Temple:

Hidden in the depth of DragonTane forest, just off the main road is a temple that at night cast a enchanting glow upon the trees around that is make it almost ghostly. The temple itself is stone, similar to ones in England, a bell tower is off to the right side and the courtyard is enclosed by a stone wall. However, the tower grows out of the trunk a mighty oak tree and the front left corner of the courtyard is also growing out of a tree.

The temple itself houses or guards a mystic hot spring that is said to heal wounds physical, spiritual, or emotional. The entire temple is run by a High Dryad named Thorn. Thorn is probably the strongest dryad you will ever meet in person. He has long wild brown hair with vines growing from it and a robe which looks like it was forged by the earth itself...It is kind of like some one took the soil and moss made it into a fabric and made a robe out it.

Beside him you will mostly likely see a well endowed woman with long golden hair and face as smooth as silk itself. Her name is Cingen and she is Thorn lover and possible the best herbalist in all the land! These two watch and guard the area of the forest between Nalith and the Elvin capital. Though they mainly teach students about the ways of nature and magic, they are forced to be reckoned with so be wary all who dark hearts for once you dark heart step foot in their territory they will watch you like a hawk!

I could tell you more, but some secrets are need to know and I do not risk giving away available information to enemies.

Actually, I have been to Fryos before to visit with Tony. As the name suggests, it is hot, hot, hot. Its like going to Las Vegas in August or the hottest month of the year. Ha, ha, ha, ha!

But, nonetheless, the city itself has its high points. I found the buildings to be very unique. It reminded me of that classic Disney film Aladdin. You know... the one where Robin Williams played Genie and Gilbert Godfried played as Iago Parrot?

It was rather difficult for me to traverse, me being a symbol of winter and my blood is literally ice. I was lucky I didn't melt! Ha, ha!

Anyway, once the Land of eternal winter is properly named, I plan to take a trip there to visit. I hear it's breathtaking. Granny says that it will make me feel like I am in the pioneer days, and yet, it is always colder than the other places. She says for me to visit the great Pine tree in the center of town that symbolizes the eternal winter it represents. Like Christmas time except without the massive line ups and the insanity that goes on during that time. She said that even when she was basically running for her life, or trying to track down Grandpa Terry, she couldn't help but notice the beauty of that village.

She remembered the tavern she went to and that one part that has been destroyed. The Chieftess ordered it to be left as is as an added symbol to the town's historics. Anything that gets busted stays that way.

All of the really old cars like the 1940's models are there. These cars do not pollute though because they do not run on gasoline. Nope, they run on ordinary wood and soil. The only smell you get is one like poop. Natural organics. They try to use the horse-drawn carriages more though because they find that its more beautiful that way. Personally, I'd rather just walk through it in my White tiger form. I'm sure the people there would love it, and at the same time fear me. After all, they would know that I am a wild kitty tamed by no one.

Funny enough, I never had to roar, not once. And even funnier... I think Lun' Mara has been... uh... hitting on me, if you know what I mean. He offers me the finest fruit ever almost all the time. He insists that I meet him at the wee hours in the morning and stare into the moonlight. He is such a silly panther. One time he put his paw around my shoulder and started talking dirty!

Hehe, yeah Fryos is not the best place for a person like you Kai. Hehe, you made it back so that is what counts.

You think? Hahahaha, Kai, Lun'Mara has been after you since he saw you in your White Tiger form. He has the hots for you and is rather bad at hiding it, hehe. He thought we he sneaking around Custos and Windra but they caught him coming back.

Being the open beings they are, they just have one rule for him, remember that he is taken by those two. Hehe, but he is free to fool around. xp

Lun' Mara better be careful with me though too. I have William-Tyler's alchemic gene. Or I should say my mother's gene. This means that one kiss from Lun' Mara will automatically announce his and my marriage engagement. Then an official wedding must take place within one week otherwise I evaporate into nothing.

Its happened to me twice already and I'd rather not have to have it happen a third time. Thank goodness he hasn't kissed me yet, otherwise, whether he is "taken" by Custos and Windra or not, he'd have to marry me or he would be responsible for the death of a fellow cat guardian, which if I understand the laws correctly, a death of any guardian comes with a very high judgement price with Thorn, doesn't it?

I will admit this, though, it stinks having a gene like this, but it does teach those to think before planting their lips on one of my kind. With blood-relatives, like mom kissing me, then nothing happens. That's why Granny was able to save me once. She had no choice but to make love to me in order to slow the fever down.

My brother Ryu... he had trouble finding a mate too. And yet, he had double the curse. Since he was bi-sexual in nature, he had to marry both a man and a woman at the same time. He killed two people already because they weren't serious about the marriage.

But, thankfully, Joe Higashi and Sailor Venus came through and both are happily married to him. Heh, actually I think Joe is happier because through that marriage, he became Terry Bogard's grandson, and funny thing is, Joe and Terry have been best friends ever since Terry was 20.

So, now that we pretty much discussed Atys, maybe we should focus on Gaia more.

We already know the four main races, but why not tell everyone the names of the four cities? I already know them, but since you created this thread, I thought it would be fair that you actually did those honors.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 14, 2010 2:46 pm

Yay, Lun'Mara know he can't kiss you. Windra and Custos may be understand but if someone took away their Lun'Mara, LoreKose herself wouldn't be able to stop them from taking him back at all cost.

A high judgment? Awww yay, lets go with that...That is if there is anything left after the other Guardians are done...Yay the gene is a blessing and a curse when you look at what it does.

Just to be clear, the four major cities of Gaia or of Atys?

Of Gaia silly. Okay, if you won't I will.

Nalith - more of a city than the capital.

DragonTane City - The Elvin Capital and is more parkland than anything.

The Land of the Little People - Dwarves and Gnomes mostly run this place.

Canthor - Earth only smaller. Humans run this place.

I'd better correct you on the name of the Elvin Capital before the sages start complaining about my lack of respect for their cities.

Befalan Lunda is the capital of the Elvin Race...Also known as DragonTane city but some find this name disrespectful. So be-careful on who are addressing.

The city itself melds in and out of tree's, but the main way to tell you are in the capital is a giant Willow that stands proud above the forest like a icon of pride and strength. Wrapping around the back half of the tree is a build which front is open with rows of pillars shining in the sun.

I don't have the names of the other Elvin cities, mainly because I haven't found them yet.

Ah, I see. Well, it is my apologies for being misinformed then. I guess then there are two names for that one place.

What does peak my interest now is the swamps and the marshes. Besides your typical fungi (mushroom type plants) and Pond Smelts (And I thought the pons smelt bad, tee hee), and of course your other traditional swamp residents, what mythological creatures can be found here?

I also wonder how come is it that I am thinking there are Plesiosuars and Ammonites in that swamp?

Besides the myth creatures, could you perhaps tell me which guardians are from there?

If I recall, isn't Dr. Lotus Blossom from the swamplands of Gaia? Or am I once again misinformed. Lun was the one who told me, but he was high on grapes at the time he did.

No need to apologize, the sages for just fickle when it comes to my work. After it goes in their libraries. Hehe.

The Swamps of DragonTane:

Wisp are very common in the swamps and to the foolish traveler are fairies. These little guys usually appear at night and fool other creatures and beast into thinking that something is glaring at them from the shadows. Merfolk and water elves also reside to the swamps, but usually in area that are fed by the sea and underground springs. Yes Doctor Lotus Blossom is from the swamps, his tribe resides to the area that are fed by springs. You can usually find these areas if you follow the water lilies.

Swamp Bogs and Wailers are common if you follow the ruins of the area. These haunting spirits mourn for the fall their city which is now inhabited by ghouls and goblins. I have been to the ruins a few times and the ghouls are very annoying, the goblins, not so much.

Plesiosuars and Ammonites, hehe, those guys are very much alive in the swamps. The ammonites like to dredge through the mud and the Plesiosuars are fascinating to watch, I sometimes wonder why these two became extinct on earth. They are so at home here...Maybe that is by they left, Gaia was more welcoming.

Guardian wise, Lotus is the only one from the swamps.

Hehe don't worry about Lun'Mara he is laying off the grapes, they got him in trouble one to many times...He will still eat a few, but not as much.

I have learned a thing or two about Plesiosaurs. They are much like crocodiles and alligators. They eat things like those two reptiles do on earth.

The reason they may have gone extinct was because of the mammoths.

Ever seen Ice Age 2? Manny the Mammoth kicked a Plesiosaur's tail into next week!

Well look where that got the mammoths...Its is a sad fate but at least we know they are alive on Gaia.

I think though the Mammoths are in one of the colder mountain ranges. Maybe they reside with the gnomes and dwarves.

Could you perhaps explain more about the dwarves and the gnomes over what you know?
