She nodded. "One moment, please." She dove deep as the pool of water would allow, letting it soak into her pours, letting it cool the ache of the burns, and letting it wash the grit away.

She broke the surface, sending a spray of water up as she settled on the surface, loving the feeling of water running down along her neck from her hair. She flicked her wings happily.
