Indigo was still giggling, but then her face became serious. "You don't have a computer? Like... at all? Dude, you don't even check Email or like do research online? SAD! Unless you whore out at the library on the computers there." She shoot her head. "Game Stations are too expensive sometimes, so I'll let that slide. Hey! If you want, you could like game with me or something some time. I got a group that plays on fridays, but it's all kind of advanced stuff. If ya wanted, I could like run you through the basics sometime. Kinda like a tutor!"

Naois shook his head back and forth in answer to Indigo's question. "No I am afraid not. A computer just doesn't seem like a necessity to me. If I need to research or anything I do it at school." Indigo's reaction was fairly typical when he admitted he had no access to some of the electronics that folks nowadays could not seem to live without. "Ah...fridays? Uhm...what...time?" He spoke with mild hesitation as he pulled his hands out from his back pockets and set them on the counter before him. "As long as it's after seven I could come, but no earlier then that. I would not mind you teaching me the rules and stuff regardless. It would come in handy I think if someone had questions about the games."

"School? Hey, what school do you go to?" She asked, sort of doing a mental 180. "Hm... We should get you up to speed before Fridays... we could always hang out like... any other day but Friday or Sunday, and I could teach you. Maybe even give you a pseudo dungeon to get you used to a battle system before I throw you to the proverbial lions that would be the hard core game group I'm in."

"I go to Applereach." Naois said with a grin. He tapped his fingers on the counter and considered his schedule for the rest of the week thoughtfully. "I have the next two evenings off. Maybe...I could jot down my address. If you don't mind coming over around six? It shouldn't take too long to learn the basics right?" He asked with a tilt of his head. This was only a game after all. It wasn't like this was a SAT or nothing.

"Hey, I go there too." she said softly. That was kind of cool that they went to the same school. "Wait come over?" She blinked at him, blushing a little. "AH! Sure! I'll bring over the core books and some blank character sheets. We can start with character creation basics, because that's the most important thing. If you have a shitty character, it won't be a good game. Then we could get into things like... action rolls, will saves, and damage. It might take more then 2 days... but I totally don't mind helping you out any time you want me!"

"That is great." Naois said with a larger smile. "Maybe we will run into each other there." As he spoke, he reached under the counter and pulled out a pad of paper. Laying it on the countertop, he began to scrawl his address onto the corner. "Here. This is where I live. The front door is locked unless you have a key. But there is a buzzer and intercom. Just buzz my apartment number and I'll let you in." Naois ripped the corner off and handed it over to Indigo with a small smile.
"I'm pretty fast at learning things. I'm sure I'll get it down easy enough. It's just a game right? How many rules can there be?"

Indigo nodded happily. "Yeah, that'd be great." She didn't really know too many of the others at school. She hadn't totally bothered to get to know people though. But maybe she should now. She listened intently as he instructed her on how to get into his place. "Right. No problem. It's kinda like that at my place. .. Gated community and all that." She took the paper and looked it over before smiling and folding it in half and tucked it into her pocket.
"So, you been trained on the register yet?" She asked, looking at the book she was still holding in one arm. She grinned and set it down on the counter when something caught her eye. "OH MY GOD!" She squealed happily. "Liquid filled, colored glass D100s? EEE!" She was kneeling now in front of the display to the side of the register. "Hey Naois? Can I get the 2 purple ones and the orange one?" She asked, looking now like a kid in a candy store.

Naois didn't exactly live in a gated community, but he figured there was no reason to tell Indigo that. She'd find out tomorrow when she stopped by. "The register?" Naois lifted and placed his hand gently on the monitor next to him. "Yeah. One of the first things I was shown actually. I wouldn't be much help if I could not sell things. Heh." He paused and looked down into the glass case as Indigo found something within that clearly was something of interest to her. He knelt down and reached a hand through to gently pluck some of the dice. Pulling them out, he looked at the dice and shook one in her hand "Huh...neat." He said as he placed the purple one on the counter top. He reached back in and pulled out the other two Indigo had asked for, then stood back up.
"Anything else you like Indigo? We got those little people figures in the back. I'm not sure if your game uses those or not?"

She nodded. "Lucky you. I didn't get shown how to work the register for like 2 months. People weren't happy that I couldn't ring them up and had to get someone who could." she sighed then shrugged. "Oh well." As the glass dice were set on the counter, she couldn't help but smile brightly. They were so beautiful... They could make you cry! She watched Naois shake one of the nearly spherical dice. The bubble inside moving around until once again settling at the top, showing what number was 'rolled.' "They're not magic 8 balls." She teased and leaned against the counter. "Oh, you have the figurines? Neat. But I think that will be my excuse to come in next time. Get me a new set of those. Some games use em. Some don't. Sometimes it's good for just understanding where the heck your character is in relation to the thing that's about to stomp your guts out." She shrugged. "So this is all for today."

"I suspect I got the training quick because I have had experience." Naois laughed softly as he started to ring up the dice with a casual tapping of his finger. "Not magic 8 balls? Dang. So I guess asking them any sort of questions would be a moot point." He spoke with a continued grin upon his face. "Allright then..that's going to be..." Naois paused and furrowed his brows at the register. "Fourty Seven dollars? That...that doesn't seem right...maybe I made a mistake after all. There is no way a book and some dice can cost that much." Naois said as he reached to turn the book over so he could double check the price sticker. "Huh..this is..an expensive hobby..." Naois said as he looked at the sticker. Glancing back up, he smiled weakly. "I guess it's a good thing you'll be bringing your books tomorrow. At these prices I'd have to eat canned mushrooms for a few weeks to afford them"

Indigo just laughed. "It is an expensive hobby. Totally not for the casual game player. It's pretty intense. But when you learn how to play, it's like... second nature." She laughed. But then, she looked at the price. Wow, only $47? Indigo figured the dice must have been on sale. Buuuuuuuuuut she decided not to say that, lest she scare him away from wanting to learn to play. Besides, he could borrow her things if he really needed to. "Wait, Mushrooms? Eeew." She laughed. "I'd have to bring you noodles or something. You could at least have mushroom noodle soup!" Oh yes, a positive spin on things. "Alright then." She paid happily for her items. "See you tomorrow~" She winked at him and waved.

Not for the casual gamer? Maybe he shouldn't get involved then? Naois could not see himself doing this fantasy playing on a regular basis. He just had so much to do after all...but if it helped him become more knowledgeable with his new job, maybe it would help him along the route of becoming permanently employed.
"Oh. Mushrooms aren't so bad." He laughed as he bagged up the book and tied the dice into a smaller one. He took the payment and finished ringing Indigo up. As he handed her back her change, he found himself blinking with mild surprise at the parting wink. A faint smile pulled his lips up and he waved to her as she left. "Yeah. See you tomorrow Indigo." He called out.
It was only after she left that Naois realized...he'd just invited a girl over to his house. Smacking his palm to his forehead he groaned. The place was a mess! His mother would have merely shaken her head at him right then, he was sure of that. Oh Naois!
