"Serenity..." Drashi smiled softly at her, "It is very fitting I feel." After all had no point had she been anything but serene and calm, traits he envied in a way... he was the opposite, always acting in the moment out of passion and then paying for the consquence of his actions later. Part of him knew he could learn a lot from this quiet mare.
"Just a little further...." he said with a smile as he continued to lead her past the couple of trees that kept them hidden from the open patch he had made into a fruit garden. As they entered the small clearing he was able to see the large fruit trees that joined the others of the forest around the outside while in the center broken only by a muddy dirt path that had been worn into the earth with use was four clear patches of fruit. Some where bushes, others ground plants.
"Help yourself.... whatever you want." For a moment he simply stood there and looked at the patch. His sister would have loved it here, it was a secret of the forest.... his secret. Part of him wanted to cry, even after all these years, but he resisted the thought as he moved further into the patch and started to smell the strawberries. Most where still green but he could see a few that where starting to ripen and turn red.

"Thanks." Somehow her parents chose the appropriate names for her and her twin perfectly. She continued to follow him into the woods already beginning to smell the sweet scents of ripe fruits. "Oh, it's beautiful." She couldn't help but stop and look around at all of the different types of fruit. Some of them she didn't even recognize and they all looked delicious!
Gazing at him, Serenity couldn't help but feel like he was conflicted and battling something inside of him. He seemed like a pure soquili and he wouldn't attack without good reason. Was there any way she could help him?
She drifted towards the berry bushes and she kept a careful eye on him wondering what was going through his mind. Serenity lowered her head and took a raspberry into her mouth. She immediately tasted the sweet juices of the berry and it tasted so sweet. "Mm. These are delicious." When she took another look around, there seemed to be something more to this place then just a simple garden.

"I'm glad you like it," he said proudly as he nudged the strawberries carefully with his nose. He wondered if he would actually eat them when they where ripe or just look at them until the birds ate them instead.
He looked up and over at the mare as she spoke again, he smiled and chuckled softly as he watched her take another mouthful of rasberries, "I can't take all the credit though, mother nature does a lot for them."
Slowly he walked over to the apple tree, spied a nice looking one before jumping up and spreding his wings so that he could use them to propel him higher to his target. When he reached the apple he put he dug his teeth into the flesh and pulled. It came free easily, and before long he was on the ground again eating it.
Once he was done he looked at her with a soft smile, "What is your faviourite fruit? Maybe I can plant some if its not here already incase you ever pass this area again one day?"

Flashing another bright smile at him, Serenity loved berries especially raspberries and she couldn't help but feel like a child as she ate them with enthusiasm. "You've already got my favorite fruit. I remember when my sister and I found our first raspberry bush. Those were some good times..." She couldn't help but reminisce about the memories she had with her twin. She and her sister would try to find as many raspberry bushes as they could and they would spend hours searching and eating. "What's your favorite fruit?"

He smiled widely as he watched her whole face light up and smile at the memories of her youth, he knew that look. It was one that he had on his face every time he remembered the happy memories of his sister. She was dead though, taken away from him as a mere child. His family had been slayed by a skinwalker who had followed their tracks, Drashi had been hunting for berries and checking out the area with a few others and had returned to see blood and flesh everywhere. It still made him sick to think about it. The deversation that was left behind was pointless and heartbreaking. It was part of the reason why he would happily kill any skinwalker that threatened his new home, his new family... he would not lose someone he loved again to one of their kind.
"It must be a girl thing," he said with a smile as he remembered the first time he saw Aria's face light up as she tasted strawberries, "My sister use to favour strawberries. She would call them the nector of a Goddess." He chuckled softly to himself and smiled more brightly, "...summer was her faviourite season since strawberries only tend to grow then. She used to tell me she was going to follow summer around from place to place just so she could eat strawberries all year round."
"Me..." He looked around and closed his eyes for a small moment to think about it before he answered, "...all of them." He said before opening his eyes and looking at her curiously. She was beautiful, and standing here in this place just seemed to add to her beauty. He was curious about her pelt. It was a similar colour to his own and he wondered if at some point they had a similar ancestor or something.... or maybe their families came from the same place? He didn't know, nor did he really care right now.

Even though she hardly saw her sister anymore, Serenity and Reaver had always shared this connection where they could hear each other's thoughts now and again. No matter how far away they were, Serenity knew that her sister was okay. "Yeah? Strawberries are delicious and it is sad that they only show up for a short time during the summer." She looked fondly at the berries thinking about how short childhood was and how she wished that they could stay young forever.
It was definitely difficult to pick a favorite fruit and she could see how he could like them all. Serenity could tell that there was something definitely special about this place for him. Maybe it had to do with his sister? She began to wonder where his sister was now. "Well, I can tell that this place is very special to you and I really thank you again for sharing it with me." She was already forgetting that her chest was probably going to bruise by the next day.

"Yeah.... all the best things only last for a short time it seems." The double meaning was strong for him but he wasn't sure she would pick up on it, it wasn't like he had told her that his sister was gone. Why would he? They hadn't really said much that was personal after all.
"Thank you for joining me," he said with a smile as he looked her up and down gently, "...I am sorry still, I hope your injuries aren't too bad tomorrow. Feel free to hit me back any time."

His comment was sad but she didn't realize that he could be talking about his sister. Serenity could be rather oblivious to certain things and sometimes she needed things to be explained thoroughly before she could understand. "It's my pleasure. And I'm already feeling better and unnecessary hitting is just that. Unnecessary." Grinning happily, Serenity couldn't harm a fly even if she wanted and at least something good came out of this meeting. Maybe she made a new friend?
"It really has been a pleasure meeting you and maybe someday we'll run into each other again?" Serenity really did hope that she would see him again someday; she had met many soquili but there were very few that she actually saw again after their initial meeting. She didn't want to take up any more of his time and push his hospitality so Serenity turned to leave.

"Yes.... until next time then." He said with a quick bow as he took one last look at his little haven before walking towards her and speaking once more, "...would you like me to escort you to the border? I would offer further but I am meant to be on duty...." Deep down he knew that Maion and Sengdroma would never object to him going somewhere off territory but his sence of duty simply wouldn't allow him to leave his family without warning them of his absences first.

Serenity nodded and looked around for where they had come into the clearing. This angeni was very kind and Serenity really appreciated that; there was something that told her that this wouldn't be the last time that they would meet. "It's okay, I think I can find my way back." Nodding and smiling once more at him, the mare turned and disappeared into the forest.
