Vantrel does manage to smile at her new love, purring and lovingly returning the nuzzle. "That is a wonderful way to look at it, my dear." She coos softly, her tail giving a graceful swish.
"Tell me, dear one," She then says, tilting her head in curiousity. "When was the last time you ventured from these fields? How much of the world have you seen?" While she speaks, that tail curls itself around Daemetia's tail, and she snuggles up closer.

She blinked. Outside? "I used to live with a human, but then she had to leave for some reason, and she dropped me off here. I didn't see much of the world outside my house. It was a pretty house! My owner had my walls painted purple and everything. We had fish every once in while, but no fireflies." Daemetia cooed softly, licking Vantrel's beak before continuing her story. "But...once my human left me here, I never went outside the fields. There's lots of grass and fireflies and rabbits to eat, so I guess I just never thought about it."
She peered up into the other's eyes for a moment. "You've seen a lot though, haven't you?"

Vantrel stiffens suddenly for a moment, her eyes going wide. A human? Jesus christ.... She thinks to herself. She also feels a surge of rage - How DARE that stupid human leave her Daemetia alone!
Wait a minute.... My Daemetia...? She did like the sound of that.
The female forces herself to be calm, and luckily it is not hard around Daemetia. You can't stay angry for long when you're with her. Giving a soft mew, the winged rubs her head against Daemetia's neck affectionately, a smile reforming itself on her features. "Mmm... Rabbits are good." She says, licking her lips.
At the half-breed's last comment, she nods. "Oh, yes... I have seen much of this world. I've been so many places, its hard to keep track of where I have been."

(JESUS CHRIST IT'S A HUMAN GET IN THE CAR. xD)
Daemetia could feel Vantrel stiffen, but the moment quickly passed and it was cuddle time again. She gladly absorbed the attention, rubbing the side of her head against the winged one. She'd never thought about it, but...company was really nice, especially when it was a dustling you loved. Hearing her comment about rabbit, dinner was officially decided. They were fun to chase, too!
"What's it like out there?" All she could remember (other than inside the house, of course) was asphalt and concrete. The human had said that there were trees, and mountains, and lakes and rivers and all sorts of things. Of course, she'd never seen any of that - she'd only heard about them. It wouldn't surprise her if Vantrel had seen all of that and more - she was just that amazing.

(XD!!! That's exactly what Vantrel thinks of humans. XD)
Vantrel wags her tail, something she had never had a reason to do before. She was actually happy for once.
She tilts her head slightly, thinking... "Well, its hard to explain what its like out there, but I shall try. There is much of the world that is simply beautiful, a heaven on Earth. I have seen these places many times. The mountains are especially gorgeous!" She smiles at the memory of hunting in the mountains, and standing to stare in awe at a gigantic tree, amazed that something could grow so tall. "There are other places, though," She continues. "That are very dangerous and grim. You can't always trust others, either. So, its a mixed world... there are truly wonderous things out there, but there are also some terrifying things."

She thought about that for awhile. A mixed world? Not everything was good? That seemed strange to her. But, if there was good, then it was worth it. And the trees, and the mountains, and everything! "But still, it'd be worth it, wouldn't it?" She looked up at the sky. Oooh, pretty clouds. "Does that look like..an octopus to you?"

Vantrel nods, replying, "Oh, yes, it is definitely worth it, darling." She glances up at the clouds, chuckling. "Hmmm... either that or a squid. That one over there looks kinda' like a foot."

"It does!" Sure enough, the one that Vantrel had pointed out looked exactly like a foot, and the octopus...squid...thing was beginning to break up into many little clouds. For a moment she simply lay and watched the clouds creep around, until she heard a strange rumbling. Oh. Daemetia looked over to her beloved, laughing. "Hungry."

Vantrel chuckles, nodding eagerly. "Oh, food sounds so good now, darling! Come, let us hunt. It would be wonderful to have a hunting partner!" With that, Vantrel hops up, but waits for Daemetia.

Daemetia began to claw her way up out of the hole, when a sudden noise startled her. She leaped out of the den, yelping, cowering down behind Vantrel. "W-what was that?
A little head had shot out of the aurora-colored pile, screaming. Apparently she was hungry. Another dustling had appeared from the second pile, but instead of making excessive amounts of noise, he simply watched the adults above him.
The half-breed looked over to Vantrel, eyes wide. Oh god. Babies.

At first, Vantrel loses her calm, crouching down, ready to pounce, a fierce snarl escaping her throat as she bares her teeth. Whatever was in there, it was NOT going to get her Daemetia!
As she looks down into the den, however, her snarling is cut short. For now, she just stares, shocked and in total awe. "Oh... the dusts.... they have grown." She then turns to her mate, her own eyes quite wide as they meet hers. It was truly a comical sight - both females looking at each other with a shocked a bemused look on their faces.

For a moment Daemetia simply stares nervously, but then she her panic begins to fade and she coos. "They must be hungry too~." She turns and begins to creep off through the grass, slowly, so that she doesn't lose Vantrel. "We'd better hurry before they get...crankier."

Vantrel nods, giving the babies one more bemused look before she turns and stalks beside Daemetia, whispering, "So... uh... what do we do with them now?"

"I didn't think that far in advance, actually." She laughed, slightly nervous, but then suddenly jumped down into a crouch. There was something up ahead - a rabbit, perhaps? Daemetia crept up slowly, then turned her head towards Vantrel. Three, two, one...

Vantrel chuckles a little herself, seeming much more nervous than Daemetia. With her childhood being what it was, she wasn't sure she could raise children without destroying their lives.
She crouches, though, following the half-breed, her keen eyes ahead. Daemetia may notice that, while hunting... vantrel looks scary. With her jaws open and ready, sharp teeth showing, her claws digging deep into the earth and her fur fluffing up to make her appear larger and more threatening, there is no mistaking that she is a wild dust. That, and the crazed gleam in her dark eyes speak of a hard-to-contol madness that lurks underneath the calm exterior. That simply proves that she is the spawn of the one known as Octavian.
