王様の声に逆らって
ばれちゃった夜にキミは笑っていた

English
Defying the voice of the king.
You were laughing the night you revealed it.
Sitting on the hill where one can touch the aurora.
You invited me with open arms…

Unraveling scattered beads.
You said they’re pretty and presented them to the night sky.

Clowns don’t show their bare faces.
Like a joke, they disappeared one day.

Today, too the world spins so easily.
And with that speed my tears are also dried.

※It’s not due to anyone
That your dream is fulfilled.
You chose to run
On a strong, windy day.

Right about now
I wonder where you are and what you’re doing.
I can imagine your shyness showing
Through the back of the figure that I what to see again.

※ repeat

Even if I can’t fly, it’s no problem.
The ground is continuing.
Let’s go to that place we love.
You can do that.

Not sure why, but I wanted to share this. I wish that Gaia would let the bbcode for columns work. The post would be a lot shorter.

A Zen koan:

Sozan, a Chinese Zen master, was asked by a student: "What is the most valuable thing in the world?"

The master replied: "The head of a dead cat."

"Why is the head of a dead cat the most valuable thing in the world?" inquired the student.

Sozan replied: "Because no one can name its price."

I take refuge in the Buddha.
I take refuge in the dharma.
I take refuge in the sangha.

I will not let my anger consume me.
I am calm.
May peace flow through me like water through water.
I am a vessel of loving-kindness.
My mind is still.
I have quelled my animosity.

I feel better.

(Trying to clam myself down after a somewhat heated ED thread)

yeh, those heated moments can happen there... sweatdrop i have stopped going to Abortion Debates because my Pro-Life meets with so much pure hatred from Pro-Choicers, while my Pro-Choice Sympathies meet with so much bigotry from Pro-Lifers! xp

it's so hard to walk the Middle Path sometimes... confused and technically, i'm not even on th eMiddle, i'm pretty far on the extreme Right in matters of Abortion.... it's just that i'm Moderate in the sense of Liberal/Conservative but i am still extremely Progressive.

i believe in Abortion only being ok in the case of health risk to either the child or mother, but at the same time that Embryonic Stem Cells should be harvested and used. make the most of the Life. ya know?

but yeh, i'm digressing. sweatdrop point is, sometimes ED is fun, but sometimes ya can get worked up. 3nodding that Mantra of yours seems like a good way to cool down. ^_^

It can be quite the challenge, that's for sure. 3nodding I later found out the guy I was arguing with was an out-and-out fascist. No wonder I didn't like the guy. He stands for everything that I don't. mad
(Twas a discussion about the Muslim Community Center being built two blocks away from Ground Zero; personally, I'm for it).
As for the mantra, the first three are basic Zen Buddhist vows/reminders of the Three Sacred Jewels (Buddha, his teachings [dharma], and the Buddhist community [sangha]), and is a way to remind oneself to eliminate negativity in one's life.
The rest of it was something I made up on the fly. Y'know, thinkin' peaceful things and whatnot to calm myself. It worked, so I think I'll remember those lines should I need to calm down again. 3nodding

yeh, fascist movements like communism and naziism are pretty disgusting.... confused i mean, if it works for them, fine, but they need to stop trying to push it on the rest of the world. and i certainly don't wanna see the zeitgeist guys have their way with america. xp

european socialism bothers me in some areas as well, but not to the point that i'd particularly mind living their. i just prefer the idea of Libertarian Socialism under the American Constitution of Rights. smile

but again, i digress. sweatdrop

i definitely understand where communists and Socialists are coming from, and even sympathize with nazis. just because i don't agree with them, doesn't mean that i can't get along with them, but sometimes when the politics issues rise up i find it's best to agree to disagree before the arguments turn into fighting. xp

and i definitely hate that the zeitgeist commies DARE call themselves Anarchists! >.> they have no idea what a bastardization they are making of that term! I'M more Anarchist than they are! stressed

Fascism is right-wing, Communism is left-wing. One is not a subset of the other. ninja Please don't confuse the two even though they're both authoritarian. sweatdrop (Sorry, this is one of those distinctions that irks me when people confuse them).
And I'm all for Libertarian Socialism. 3nodding pirate ANARCHY!

You're talking about the Zeitgeist movement, yes? They have a couple of concepts I don't like: automation (giving jobs to robots), and AI for making important decisions instead of people. That sounds way too much like the prologue of a sci-fi dystopia film to me. WAY too authoritarian. neutral

Don't sweat it. Actually, to get even more specific, the Fascists (Italy) were completely right-wing and totalitarian, the Nazis were centrist and totalitarian, and the Communists were left-wing and totalitarian. The more you know. (And knowing is half the battle. "What's the other half?" "Violence, glorious violence." xp )

I never did read The Giver.... sweatdrop

*cleans rightmost shrine; "WOOSH"; the rightmost barricade opens* "Huh?" *Takes a pair of paper lanterns; walks through opening* "Oh! This is the old graveyard." The graveyard is nestled in a small, dry grotto, with an opening that allows a small amount of sky to be seen. *holds lanterns out* "I think I'll look around." *Explores graveyard*

Blood on the Risers

He was just a rookie trooper and he surely shook with pride
He checked off his equipment and made sure his bags were tied;
He had to sit and listen to those awful engines roar,
"He ain't gonna jump no more!"

(CHORUS)
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
And he ain't gonna jump no more!

"Is everybody happy?" cried the Sergeant looking up,
Our Hero weakly answered "Yes," and then they stood him up;
He jumped into the icy blast, his static line unhooked,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

(CHORUS)

He counted long, he counted loud, he waited for the shock,
He felt the wind, he felt the breeze, he felt the awful drop,
The silk from his reserve spilled out and wrapped around his legs,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

(CHORUS)

The risers wrapped around his neck, connectors cracked his dome,
The lines were snarled and tied in knots around his skinny bones;
The canopy became his shroud; he hurtled to the ground.
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

(CHORUS)

The days he'd lived and loved and laughed kept running through his mind,
He thought about the girl back home, the one he'd left behind;
He thought about the medic corps and wondered what they'd find,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

(CHORUS)

The ambulance was on the spot, the jeeps were running wild,
The medics jumped and screamed with glee, rolled up their sleeves and smiled,
For it had been a week or more since the last a 'chute had failed,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

(CHORUS)

He hit the ground, the sound was "SPLAT" his blood went spurting high,
His comrades were all heard to say "A hell of a way to die!"
He lay there rolling round in the welter of his gore,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

(CHORUS)

(slowly, solemnly)
There was blood upon the risers, there were brains upon the chute,
Intestines were a'dangling from his Paratrooper suit,
He was a mess, they picked him up and poured him from his boots,
And he ain't gonna jump no more

Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
And he ain't gonna jump no more!

Yeah, it's gruesome and dark, but what else would you expect from WWII Airborne troopers?
