"Hu. The Weyr never tosses anyone out who minds their place." She paused a moment, thinking of herself. "Anyhow, don't they need others to do the things they can't? Seems a waste, I guess." Wykla smiled. "Thank you."
"Yeah! Not many do that, either. She sounded a lot like her rider Ralae. Her name's Zabreth and she's a green." She relaxed back on the sand and watched the waves. "You're probably going to have to learn. I've seen the dragonriders bathing their dragons in the lake. It can get really deep in some spots.

"A good place, the weyr. Shards, maybe if I don't Impress then I will go back and get my journeyman rank. I could be a weaver here or at home. Last Hatching, there were some people super upset for not getting a dragon," Pazzult thought on that for a moment. "I wasn't disappointed. If it happens, it happens. It is really that big of a deal for some folks?"
He was curious about weyrfolk and their mentality. Being at Malvren might give him a chance to explore himself more than back at Acron. But it wasn't any skin off his back. "Oh, I wonder if all dragons sounds like their riders? Huh. Lucky."

Wykla wondered how anyone could want to leave the Weyr and its dragons. The holders were just..... she didn't finish that thought. "Its nice you have something to go to if you don't Impress. Would you come back after you became a journeyman?" She looked at him. Did he like the Weyr enough to come back? "For some its a very big deal. There's pride to Impress. For some, its expected." A shrug. "I rather didn't think I would, so while I'm still disappointed, I'm not overwrought about it."
It was a curious thought. "Well, if I ever get a dragon... I'll have her speak to you and you tell me if she does. K?" It seemed perfectly reasonable to her.

Pazzult looked down at her and smiled. She really was a nice girl. Reminded him a lot of his little sister and he had the urge to hug her but didn't... After all, they just met. So instead, he answered her question. "Well, I am sure Weavers are in big demand here. It is nice to be away from my family a bit. Maybe? How about I come back to visit you and then decide if I am going to stay."
He watched the bronze flit and thought of his egg. Getting up, Pazzult smiled and looked away. "I need to get back to my bunk. I have a flit egg waiting for me. It's not due to hatch just yet but I need to add sand to it's jar I am sure. It was nice to meet you Wykla. Oh hey, would you really do that? Thank you!"

She smiled. "Yeah that sounds all right. And I can catch you up on gossip that you missed."
She blinked, her mouth forming an 'o' shape for a moment. "Really?! Why didn't you tell me sooner? When did you get it? What do you think will hatch?" She paused. It was really hard to tell with fit eggs, unlike dragon eggs. "Sure sure. Go. You don't want it to get cold. Let me know what it hatches into." It was exciting to find out. Wykla nodded, decisively. "Yup!" She'd talk her dragon into speaking to him at least once.
"It was nice to meet and talk to you too, Pazzult. I think I might go and take a look around the gather now. Bye."
