Explanation of Factions: A faction is a part that has split off from a larger group. This faction is it's own unit and head though it will unite with other factions of it's original group to protect the land and their people.
The Factions:
Nite Owl
About: Nite Owl's herd was once whole until families and then disagreements rent them apart. Now, this faction remains as only a splinter of the whole that it use to be and is known as The Parliament Faction. This group resides in the same area and houses mainly those that are looking for peace and relaxation.
Ember
About: Ember's faction split off when he rejoined his mate Ariluna to start their own herd. Still on good terms with all those in the original group, Ember hopes to grow his small faction into a worthy support for his friend Nite Owl. This is a close knit family group, most have family like roles within it. They are known as The Hearth Faction.
Yongian
About: Despondent over his ill-fated love for Arwen, Yongnian deliberately caused his friendship with Nite Owl (and the herd) to be severed. He plans to take up his lodgings in the desert. This herd will be known as The Solace Faction and it will hold those who are seeking the way.
Veles or Arachne
About:Veles, a mysterious stranger from the north has appeared with a plan to capture Arachne and Casaquilla. His hopes are to let them rule figuratively, while he puppets from the background. But the "puppets" just might control the puppeteer. He lives with his second in command Hawthorne in the mountains. This faction tends towards evil and is known as The Doom Faction.Valkyrie About:Assorted About:

Run by Nite Owl, this small close-knit village type community is caught in an epic battle with The Doom Faction and The Coven. It is unknown exactly what those groups have against The Parliament or what their intentions are at all.
However, the effect has been devastating. All eyes are turning towards the mountains where there antagonists are planning a war. They have lost a few members to this evil, and for other reasons. Their fear grows as more and more threatening rumours are heard.
Nite Owl is reaching out to Ember and Ariluna to unite with The Parliament.
A wall is being built for protection.

The Hearth Faction lives in a large, shared house. It's by no means a mansion and it is added to as needed (which makes it sprawling and unorganized, but homey).
This faction is more focused on being a family, than a community. Ember has accepted Nite Owl's plea for help and a united front against The Doom and Coven Factions. Ember has every hope that somehow a peaceful solution can be found.

This faction lives in the desert and has no idea of the happenings in the outside world. They still remain untouched by anything going outside of them. But soon, they shall be forced to choose a side.

The Doom Faction is headed by Veles and to a certain extent Arachne. Arachne has not yet decided to come into her power, and had not decided to enforce her will...yet.
The Doom Faction is made up of a vast majority of victims. Products of forbidden or doomed love, or of outright revenge-they are seeking to make amends for previous wrongs. This is the gospel that Veles preaches.
They're ultimate plans are still a mystery as are any other deeper meanings to their plans.

Lead by the blood soaked Queen Aeronwen, this faction is searching for a place in the world. They have long sought some secret evil, and Aeronwen has amassed an army to this purpose.
But what purpose?
