He didn't strike her like she feared. He mealy took one of his bloodsoaked paws out of the coffee and reached for it knowing where it had been place. His eyes rolled back with pleasure at the first sip. God he needed that coffee so badly. He hated to wake up in the morning, and even at one cup already he still wasn't very personable to deal with. Maybe the second would work it's magic and he'd cheer up slightly. It really didn't help that he missed his mate Chione greatly. When would she be back? He finished another slow sip as he pondered over his work.
"Thank you. That will be all. You may return to the garden."
He didn't even look in her direction as he didn't care less if she stood there the rest of the day or not. That coffee had made him in a much better mood.

She steadied her paws the best she could and gave another bow as he took the coffee and sipped at it. At this rate, she would be best off if she was funneling the coffee to him perpetually, or at least so it seemed. He seemed like a much more pleasant creature when he was buzzing off the stuff. She wondered, too, just how he would behave when his mate returned. She hoped dearly that she was a pleasant lady. Then again, she liked flowers.
Good creatures liked flowers, right?
Her ears twitched and she lifted her head slightly at his dismissal. He thanked her, something that she wasn't even remotely expecting. At least there wouldn't be any further chastising, for now, anyways. This was good, it meant she could continue work where she loved it the most, outside, beneath the open sky, with the fresh scent of grass, trees, and fertilizer.
"Yessir, thankee, sir." She nodded her head and quickly excused herself from the shop. There would be some cleaning to do later, that was a fact. But at least she had been spared a switch for not quite carving the beast as he wanted her to. She could handle a bit of blood, anyways.
She quickly cleaned herself of the blood that had tinged her fur a reddish hue and was in the garden yet again, enjoying the feeling of earth beneath her paws.
