It's more or less people who are bi, but it still applies to homosexuals as well.

rolleyes I'm not sure about where all of you are from, but everywhere I turn, supposedly new "bi" and "homo" kids are coming out. I'm actually seeing a lot of it in the girls more than the guys though. It's like Being a homo/bi is the new black!

On a normal basis, this wouldn't bother me; Everyone has the right to come out if they're that way. But I know that most these people aren't and they're doing it to get attention and/or gain a better status. WHY?!?!?

It's just like that south park episode with all the dad's becoming metrosexual because they watched 'queer eyes for the straight guy" show or whatever it's called. And the teacher was all upset because none of them were really gay.

Does anyone else find this disturbing or is it just me? First it started with guys wearing eye liner and now this?!? I refuse to be on the same level as a celebrities' perfume bottle that goes out of style within a month! If you're straight, be straight. If not, go flame and do what you like but don't do it for the social status! talk2hand

That... Is just weird. Of course, you know it COULD just be a lot of people realizing that being gay/bi/whatever isn't such a horrible taboo thing and they really ARE coming out.

That's happening at my school

coming out is one thing...but this a revolution to change everyone to become bisexual. Most highschoolers will admit to being bi nowadays (it's more popular in girls but the guy's ratings have been going up). You want to come out? Find, admit you kiss boys/girls, but it's becoming a find like those ridiculous designer purses and it will soon burn out.

and, once again, being bi/homo will return to it's original state of oddness because of this obscene trend.

it's kinda hard to find straight people nowadays who are sure they're straight cuz since everyone around them seems to be rethinking their sexuality they think they might be "queer" as well and so even though they're probably really not homosexual or bisexual they're convinced they are because of the major shift going around in their peers.

"You're Not Cool Unless You Kiss Boys/Girls" theme. Most go along because it's more important for them to look cool than to actually give a damn and just say they're straight. You have to have some sick and low morals to do something like that. I know most couldn't give a ******** and that's why they do it.....but if I have to bare witness to one more guy claiming love for men when all he wants are girls....I'm going seriously punch the gay out of them.

Absolutely annoying and ridiculous. And the thing that annoys me more is that they're so hypocrite... You know, if you're a girl but dress and act like a boy, those wannabe bisexual girls come and say that you should be like a real girl etc. Then they start making out with each other and if you ask them to move to some pther place (for example because they don't leave any free space at the corridor and you can't pass them and you have to because your class is starting) they get all like "You can't say so, we're bi and proud and this is how we are and you have no reason to tell us what we should do and what we shouldn't!!!!!!11111!!!!one!" (Yes. With all those exclamation marks and ones. rofl )

i know what you mean... i've never liked a boy as something more than a brother. i was really open about this untill this year, when suddenly the world exploded with lots of "im a girl who likes to kiss girls, aint i sexy?" it makes be feel embarassed now to say im gay.

Our school actually has a trend newspaper, during June, the fads were, and this is exactly quoted:

Color: Green (emerald, if available)
Sexuality: Bisexual (however, metrosexual will be accepted for those whom wish)
Clothing: for women, low-cut denim skirts, V-cut tanktop, and for men, baggy swimshorts and tight t-shirt/tanktop
School Supplies/Baggage: paper heart mate pencils and erasable *blue* pens, eastsport backpacks *red*, and official ESM notebooks

It is so retarded, but nearly everybody goes with it. Some months I am the most popular girl in the world, and the next month I am a total outcast, I don't get it at all.

Oh, something that happened to me, this girl asked if she could borrow a pen during the regents, but I had Bic-brand pens, so she refused to take them from me. sweatdrop

People can be so shallow...

Shallow? I wouldn't say that. Vapid, perhaps. Trends are for sheep.

I completely agree with bisexuality being a new trend. I am not open enough about my sexuality to know the details though. Although I've known people who say they'd kiss either gender, but not go "all the way". And I think that's stupid.

Because bisexuality is used to refer to people who are /not/ specific about what gender they are with. When in fact.. most self-proclaimed bisexuals are indeed.. gender-oriented.. either very straight, or very gay. And just use bisexuality either as a blanket term, or something to keep people from freaking out that they are gay, or straight.

I have noticed an explosion of "bi" chicks at my school, but I personally know like five that are actually gay or bi through and through. I am a bisexual, and I will admit to it if someone asks me straight out. But that's rude, and I don't like it when I get attention for it.

I maybe young, but I've KNOWN I'm bisexual for years. It makes me so angry when people give me s**t like, "oh, I know a bi just like you and you're doing ti for attention." Or "You're still young, you're confused." I am not confused, but no one seems to listen sweatdrop Like I said, I'd rather not get attention for my sexual preferences. My clothes, my attitude, my friends, sure why not? But sexuality shouldn't be a trend, something people pick up whenever they feel like it.

It might be a trend, but I'm not a trend follower. I have rainbow flip flops. Hurray. I'm just so sick of the nasty looks I get for it by horny dudes looking for a threesome, or the sneers of those who say I'm using bisexuality to hide my true lesbian side. That's bullshit. And I won't listen to mumbo jumbo that trys to categorize me and put me in a box to compare others to.
