April smiled back and mouther to him,"Can I come over to you?" She really didn't want to be rude because she hated it when people joined in on other people's conversations when she didn't want them to. She put her book down, and continured listening to her ipod.

 Kyo nodded a bit absently though she had a blank look on her face. In truth she did not know why a walkman was old school or what old school even meant but she didn't want to seem stupid. She snifffed the air and jerked her head up. Her eyes narrowing in suspicion her tail stood paralell to the ground.

"And you have no idea what I'm talking about" Derek said smiling wrily, he'd seen the same look on Aex who at a 115 yrs old hadn't exactly kept up with the times.
He saw Kyo's reaction and winced, Kyo was reacting this way because Jez and james had treated her poorly out of predjudice for werewolves(jez more so than james) and now she was wary of vampires.
On top of that April and Jez were friends, and Jez liked that friendship. If April were to find out how jez had treated Kyo how would she react?
Great he was living in degrassi-that's what being friends with girls got you. Drama drama drama.
He nodded to April to tell her that she could come over. Never one to consider or overthink things

Mikayla walks in a blank look on her face she didn't know where she was, she sat down at a table and sighed.

April smiled and stood up, She knew that the girl he was talking to was a wearwolf, but she honestly didn't frickin care. If she didn't like vampires than that sucks for her. Too bad. End of story. She walked over to Derek and the girl. She smiled at both of them, exposing her fangs. She saw the look on Derek's face. He was worried for some reason. She didn't know why, but she was going to find out soon.

"Hey April" Derek smiled at her "This is Kyo. She's in my psychology class" he said motioning to the werewolf with his head. "grab a chair"

Kyo glanced at April from behind her bangs with a slight smile before her eyes darted back to the table. "n-nice to m-meet you"

"Hi." she said waving at the girl. She pulled a chair out from another table, not realizing that a person was sitting in the chair. The person in the chair went tumbling to the floor. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry!" April said shocked. She pulled the girl up by her elbow and put the chair back. She apologized one more time, and got a different chair that wasn't occupied. "Why do you look so scared?" she asked as she looked at Kyo with a small grin as she pulled her chair up to the small table. "I don't bite. Well, actually I'll take that one back." she said laughing.

"ya might wanna try an empty one" Derek said smiling teasingly at April when she pulled an occupied chair.
He looked over at Kyo and hoped for the best.
Because with the other vampires conveniently off somewhere Derek would have to be the to explain things to April.(and possibly Kyo)

"The last vampire I met threatened to make me into a fur coat" Kyo said keeping her eyes fixed on the table. "she also said that that was nothing compared to what any other vampire I ran into would do to me"

Derek closed his eyes and swalloed a groan.
Jez, he thought a fur coat? Really?
Like most guys when they're keeping something to themselves. Derek said nothing and did nothing willing himself to become invisible.Something he'd always been good at.

"Fur coat. I can guess what vampire you met." she said glancing at the Derek out of the corner of her eye. "Anyway I know you're a wearwolf, and I've never met one before. You seem nice though." April said a little hesitently. She didn't know what wearwolves could do.

Derek glanced at April when she said that she'd never met a werewolf before. Not that he was surprised, though he was surprised she gave that away so easily.
That explained why she was nice to Kyo.

Kyo looked up at that. Usually she was the one who didn't know things.
"Maybe you know her" she said shrugging a bit. "She's Derek's...sister" she knew Jez and Derek weren't actually related but she didn't know if April knew that and Jez had nade it pretty clear that if Kyo spoke a word...
Well it was better to go along with it. Let's just say that.
She smiled a bit when April said that she seemed nice enough. Did she expect her not to be because she was a werewolf?
"Um.Thanks. Do you go here?"
