Suki looked around as she trotted forward, backpetalling when she turned around to face the main group. "We should be making good time." If her notes were right, they were already half way to Iwa. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail with a brown baseball-cap styled hat on her head. The messenger bag was still slung around her shoulder, paper slip in the left hand, mini paintbrush in the right. She was trying to come up with a seal unlike anything she'd seen before, a seal that wouldn't be similar to any other's design. It was for her Tanabata blood. She'd been working on it since they left Konoha, but so far she had no luck.

Hinote Tosatsu {Ok, really now, you guys are getting ahead of yourselves. I'm waiting for Kage to post leaving the gates before I arrive in the forest, and you're already all the way out here. Three of the four team members have now abandoned the client.} (I thought everyone had left the gates already, otherwise I wouldn't have posted so much. i'm sorry, I won't post again untill everyone is cought up)

As instructed the ember clone raced ahead to try and catch up with the escort group's last member. Spotting her, the ember clone had just reached close enough to hear her words before rounding around her and standing in her way. "Alright missy, enough 'follow the leader' for you. It's time you hang back and keep an eye out on the client while I, the leader, lead." Hands on her hips, Akai wondered if the girl in front of her actually had the guts to stand up to her. Of course she would perfer the girl to be submission and listen but from the outlook of the girl, she would seem pretty hard headed.
{Hey Tenshi, sorry for the mess up on the location. Apparently we were suppose to start from the forests.}

Suki was still sweating, but it was barely noticable now. "Look... Miss... I'm not here to take the lead from you--" She shivered and clenched her left hand after inhaling sharply for a moment. "I'm only here to see Itsuki-sensei's mission is followed through. Now, please excuse my rudeness, but I need to be alone. I'll trail in eyesight, but I just....." She wasn't going to finish. Wow, eight years of trying to hide it and now it was hitting her all at once like a wrecking ball against a brick wall. In the history books, you always read that Tanabata members had somewhat of a bi-polar disorder. That wasn't quite accurate. It was more like a conscious schizophrenia. It sucked, especially when the dormant side was a spastic, psychotic, powerful entity. She wouldn't let Abyss take over again.

Eyeing the girl before her curiously, Akai wondered just what in the world was wrong about her. To be honest, she hadn't really done that much to learn about her squad mates before attending this mission and she was sure she was going to lose some points for that. 'She looks strange...could it be a inheritance thing? or is it a medical thing?' Releasing a sigh, Akai bent down to the girl's level and stared at her seriously in the eyes. "As much as I don't care about such missions, you are still under my care so I would really like to know just what in the world in going on with you. One moment you're fine and the other you're sweating buckets and shaking uncontrolably. Before leaving on this mission I was informed that all my squadmates were in good health so what brought this on?" If the girl before her had any serious problems, Akai was definately going to suggest sending her back. Lucky for them, they were still within the borders of the Land of fire so if something really was amiss, she could just send out a flare signal for an ANBU guard to take her back. 'First I have a strangly pale faced girl who looks ill, a silent girl who appears mute but most likely isn't, a clutsy client and now a girl who seems strangly bi-polar. We're just a fun bunch of circus animals aren't we. Now I definately am curious as to what our new Kage was thinking when she made these squad. No compatibility what-so-ever.'

At some point during the walk, Aki had taken up whistling. An old ditty dating back several hundred years, yet, in his eyes at least, perfect for a walking tune. Upbeat enough to keep your feet moving, but not enough to annoy. Not enough to annoy him at least. After the hundredth rendition, the annoyance factor may have begun to rise for the rest of the group.
As the forests began to give way to more open space, and the path became more of a road, the man smiled widely, raising his arms to bask in the evening sun. It was beginning to get dark, but at their current pace, he estimated they could reach the earth country before true nightfall. It was, without exaggeration, a hundred times faster than he'd expected, but ninja apparently weren't much for taking in the sights as they traveled. A pity really, he knew of a number of different scenic locations.
Dropping his whistling as they finally caught up to the clone and redhead, he craned his neck towards the team leader. "We're almost to the earth country if you want to keep going for another couple hours." he spoke, knowing the team would probably like to be closer to the destination than further before breaking for the night.

Suki shook her head softly. N-no. I'm fine. It's not an illness, technically, and it would take too long to explain everything. Itsuki-sensei would have never recommended me for this if she didn't think I could keep up, nor would I have come along if that was the case. It's just something the Tanabata go through. Chaotic chakra system and whatnot." Hopefully She still hadn't found the origin of Abyss, even with all her research and her mother's notes. She wouldn't let that psycho jeopardize this mission; not her first mission outside Konoha's walls.

As Akai silently took in Suki's words, she remained uncompletely convinced but at the mention of Tanabata, Akai could only nod as she assumed it was a bloodline side-effect. 'Guess all clans have somthing like that...and she does make a point. That new Hokage did appoint her for this so she has to be something.' Releasing a sigh, Akai decided that she might as well see how this plays out. "Fine but if it gets worse you can say goodbye to this mission. Don't want anything that could give potencial enemies the advantage."
When Aki finally caught up to them and spoke, Akai turned to face him and nodded. "Its as you said, we're close to the earth county so it'll be best for us to cross the border and set up camp closer to our destination. We still have a good few hours before nightfall so if you're up for it, we'll continue on down the path." As much as Akai would've loved to just race the rest of the way to Iwa, she knew it was illogical and that regular citizens didn't have as much staima as them so she can only push him so far. 'And this is another reason why I hate escort missions...'

 Hiniko came up next to Aki, and waited for further instructions. She didn't mind resting she was feeling a bit light headed but then again she had just gotten out of the hospital as well. She looked around her pausing to take in the sights as the others discussed what to do. Having been in the hospital for a year, things seemed so much different to her.The colors were newer..brighter somehow. And yet even though it was like she was finding things for the first time in a while, there was still a hint of shaded gray around everything. As if the world was forcing her not to forget what her goal was. She clinched her fist and tuned back into reality as she realized they were talking about moving on. She smiled. "Sure, I don't mind going on a few more hours" she answered honestly glancing at the fiery red head before returning hr gaze to akai.

(Alright Hinote, I know you said wait, but I'm getting bored, and this isn't going fast enough.)  "Well, hello there, fine travelers!" A voice called out, as a brown haired man wearing a fine red traveling cloak stepped out of the brush in front of the road. Accompanying him were three large, brutish men in common clothes, wielding what looked to be large, smoothed out tree trunks, supposedly to be used as clubs. The cloaked man, apparently their leader, wore a large smile on his face, but did nothing to hide the slender dagger attached at his side. "Well now, looking to travel into our fair earth country? Well I'm sorry to say it, but the Daimyo's putting a toll on this road. See, to pass, we require 50 ryu (OOC: its the money they use in Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, I don't have much to work with in terms of what cash is called in Naruto) a person. But if you can't pay, I'm sure there are other forms of payment we can work out." He said, eying the group's goods. Beside him, the three burly, club wielding men chuckled, one even slamming his club on the ground, while the cloaked man just gave his far-too-innocent grin to the group, a small threat dancing in his eyes.

Suki's ailment was completely non-apparent after the cloaked man's appearance. Something to take her mind off the darkness trying to claw its way out of the back of her head. Her arms crossed, as she always did, then looked over at Akai. There was a certain meaning behind her expression, if Akai had looked into her specialties. Her face asked to please just ignore them, but her eyes begged to let Suki break their minds to an unrepairable state. While her arms were still crossed, she used her right hand to stealthily grab a paper slip from a packet in a hidden pocket inside her coat, which was sewed in for just this kind of occasion. The big guys obviously didn't have a lot of brain power; only thing she should have needed to watch was their clubs. The lead... she didn't know yet.

Hiniko paused and then stepped out in front of Aki, as the man stepped into the road wit two or three other guys. The looked like normal men and far from ninja material, but she wasn't going to drop her guard at all. She stood in a protective stance in front of Aki and just watched the men. She waited for Akai to speak, there was no way these men were going to get past her. She wondered if she should use her byakugan or not, but she figured she might as well not give anything away about herself.
