"Uhhh," he mumbled, trying to think of something. He didn't find much interesting, but that was only because he had grown up here, and it all got boring after a while.
"We have a small little...lake thing. Might be nice to check it out, sometimes others go there to relax and...chat." Which he obviously didn't do. Hanging out with Umbika and Ethiopia was good enough for him. "I can...take you there if you want?"
Good, good. Umbika was content.

"Hmm!"
So far so good. However awkwardly, he was talking and even offering to walk her somewhere. She smiled widely at him, not at all minding the hesitation in his offer.
"I'd like that," she said, "If you wouldn't mind, I promise we'll leave you alone once we get there."
Kuku straightened himself up when Tanz suggested a place to go, thinking he knew where they were about to head but happy to follow along. He hadn't really seen Alula interact with other lions so much, he was starting to wonder if she would be less content with this conversation when they were alone again. She sounded perfectly genuine, but still.

Tanz nodded. he didn't smile, since that wasn't really his thing, but he did feel a little more relaxed. He let himself glance around, seeing that the coast was clear. For what? He didn't know, but...he also was unsure if he wanted to be seen conversing with a female. That might make him seem less...tough to the guard, right? Maybe to the other bachelor males. "I don't mind. It's this way," he said, turning to lead her.
Umbika launched herself into the air, mainly to get a look at the lake and see if it was occupied or not. Probably had a few lions there, but it was a good, relaxed place to socialize, which she thought both of them may need. Especially Tanz, ugh.

Alula stopped looking directly at Tanz, also glancing around them thoughtfully- but not really looking for anything in particular, mainly trying to guess which way they would be going. She looked back as he started to lead the way and then moved to follow after him.
"Ok!"
Kuku hopped a couple steps as the lions took the lead and then jumped up into the air to go along with them. He did a quick circle around them before following after Umbika to get a look.
